The nodes transmit data to the sink node. Each sensor nodes have its own battery and ability to communicate with sink node. Network of such nodes is called sensor network. The successful operation of WSN largely depends on MAC sublayer which deals with addressing and channel access control. WSN has varied design constraints such as energy consumption, scalability, delay, traffic control, packet delivery throughput and overheads that need an effective MAC protocol to deal with these problems. Energy must be utilized efficiently in order to increase the lifetime of the Wireless Sensor Network. MAC protocols reduce the cost of energy consumption by providing an efficient communication for transmission and hence improves network lifetime. This paper shows the implementation of FMAC Protocol in healthcare system for different reporting rates. The purpose of the study is to identify the best MAC protocol in Healthcare System. Results for implementation of Hybrid MAC for hospital network are presented in the paper. Results for Data transmission between nodes and sink node has been evaluated to identify Good MAC protocol. Paper represents how low energy consumption can be achieved by combining TDMA and CSMA MAC protocols.

Due to increase of Theft on areca nut and coconut etc, with the advancement in technology, motion can be detected by measuring change in speed or vector of an object in the field of view. This can be achieved either by mechanical devices that physically interact with the field or by electronic device that quantifies and measures changes in the given environment. The motion detector is not only used as intruder alarm but also used in many applications like home automation system, energy efficiency system, etc. According to this project is built using an embedded microcontroller system capable of detecting motion of an intruder in a restricted area and then triggering an alarm system, motion detector system, Sound sensors and accelometric, however passive infrared\u0000sensor detected the motion of the person using the person body heat. The passive infrared (PIR) sensor which is the motion detector used in this project is attached to a microcontroller with WIFI which activates the alarm system ,send notification to farmer using IoT it reaches the cloud platforms and any other devices to notify to the farm owner. In addition to PIR sensor we also include accelometric sensor that can be used to read the tiltness of the tree, Sound sensors will be used to read the threshold of ground with any falling of the objects.

Of the few heritage structures that remain, the concept of “Adaptive reuse” has been nothing short of a revelation. The term adaptive reuse maybe defined as „a\u0000process of reusing an existing building for a purpose other than which it was originally built or designed for; but when heritage buildings are to be considered adaptive reuse should be a process of preserving and restoring the building with minimal changes and for a use that does not effect the cultural and historical background of the building.‟\u0000This research explores the effectiveness of adaptive reuse in preserving the heritage value of the buildings in Bangalore, considering the case of Samsung Opera House, a century old structure, located at the main junction of Brigade road. The paper will focus on how this structure has been restored and how the building has been repurposed as a showroom. It will also draw similarities and how other heritage buildings in Bangalore have been reused to meet the needs of the current day using few case studies like Cinnamon Boutique. This paper will focus on documenting the heritage building- Opera House and to frame reuse guidelines for similar buildings and also the efforts in doing an adaptive reuse.

From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly. India is both a major greenhouse gas emitter and one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to projected climate change. The country is already experiencing changes in climate and the impacts of climate change, including water stress, heat waves and drought, severe storms and flooding, and associated negative consequences on health and livelihoods. With a 1.2 billion but growing population and dependence on agriculture, India probably will be severely impacted by continuing climate change. Karnataka is the second most\u0000vulnerable state in India to be impacted by Climate Change as the North Karnataka regions have the arid and driest regions. As a progressive state, Karnataka envisions job oriented, inclusive economic growth. This will require sustainable industrialization and livelihood diversification. However, such a transition is likely to increase the demand\u0000for resources and energy significantly. In this, our proposed study will enable us to know the impact of climate change on important sectors like energy and agriculture, which are the backbone of the state’s economy.

The concrete is chiefly tested for its compressive strength and then the results are compared or checked with the desired design strength. In the era of computers used in every spectrum of life, the testing of materials and its results calculations also needs to be programed for calculations, validations and data storage. The cell based software do provide ease of calculations but storage and retrieval of data is difficult in those software. The current study is an effort to develop a program the calculations of compressive strength of concrete and flexural strength of the concrete as per Indian Standard Code of Practice. The standalone customized software used in calculations gives accurate and consistent results. Also, the validations programed with logics avoid hazy manual interpretations of the regulatory provisions and gives accurate results.

Hence, to attract the surplus funds possessed by the retail investors into the capital market, intermediaries like mutual funds are required. Though apparently mutual funds were intended to cater to the needs of the retail investor, the stock market has not won investors’ confidence to attract a growing share of household’s financial savings. Today, more players are entering into the market and a naïve investor is unable to deploy the investment in the right direction. The study analyse the retail investors financial decision in terms of investing their savings in the capital market through mutual fund investment.
