Industries, business sectors, even homes are being automated. Operating various home appliances conveniently along with saving energy are the prominent factors possessed by Smart Home. A quick increase is seen in people's needs in order to develop the social economy of appliances present in a house. If we look at the existing system, we have Google home and Amazon echo which provide functionalities such as switching on/off appliances remotely from anywhere. This paper primarily focuses on a smart home system which allows users to control any electrical appliance using their smart phone google assistant. Apart from this the system also helps in keeping a track on air quality, sound and light intensity, temperature and humidity of home. It also provides analysis of the aforesaid parameters using various graphical methods. It starts the appliance itself on detecting human motion and notifies the user about the same so in case if there is an intrusion the user will come to know about the same. It also takes care of user’s safety as it informs about gas leakage and fire detection preventing any major damage. The need for integration is seen in society, as the idea of a Smart home system is still a new research area. Convenience, security, time management, and connectivity act as prominent factors to motivate and build a system like Smart Home. This paper hence provides a detailed inspection on the architecture, procedures, technologies required for a smart home system. The best protocols and technical solution acquired in the IOT Based Smart Home Assistant are discussed in the paper.","PeriodicalId":394517,"journal":{"name":"International Journal for Research in Engineering Application & Management","volume":"103 S5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132477455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Prediction of crop yield helps in managing the storage of crops as well as it directs the transportation decisions, and risk management issues related to crops. Food is perhaps the most important aspect of life, without it humankind can’t survive. Hence, storing food becomes an absolute compulsion for countries all over the world, especially the developing ones. The important aspect of the government is to fulfill the need of food for the long term, particularly at a time of natural disaster. There are many low-lying regions hence the estimation of food is very demanding. In this paper, we attempt to provide a precise and accurate decision in predicting crop yield and deliver the end-user with proper recommendations about the required fertilizer ratio based on parameters such as atmospheric and soil parameters of the land which enhance to increase the crop yield and increases farmer revenue.","PeriodicalId":394517,"journal":{"name":"International Journal for Research in Engineering Application & Management","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115459993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence coefficient method of balancing used for in-situ balancing requires vibration data (Phase angles and vibration values) of many trial runs which may result in a lengthy balancing process. The vibration data can be measured with the help state-of-the-art four channel Adash 4400 VA4 Pro FFT analyzer platform along with data acquisition system and electronic instrumentation. It has been identified in the literature that it is possible to balance the rotor without the use of trial weight. This paper presents a new systematic approach of balancing method based on the Jeffcott rotor dynamic model. The mathematical model on Jeffcott rotor model is presented here. The proposed method requires vibration data of two test runs at different speeds without trial weight. For experimental verification of proposed method, a test rig has been developed. Systematic experiments done on the Jeffcott rotor model at different rotating speed are described in this paper. The experimental results shows the success of proposed balancing method. The importance of identifying type of rotor unbalance (static, couple, quasi-static, or dynamic) and the method to detect type of unbalance present in the rotor is presented.","PeriodicalId":394517,"journal":{"name":"International Journal for Research in Engineering Application & Management","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121668164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Flow deflection at the impeller vanes allows mechanical power (energy at the vanes) to be converted into pump power output. Impeller of a centrifugal pump, usually made of iron, steel, bronze, brass, aluminum or plastic, which transfers energy from the motor that drives the pump to the fluid being pumped by accelerating the fluid outwards from the center of rotation. A significant improvement is required for impeller design to resist corrosion, Erosion & weight less. The present work is to design, performance of centrifugal impeller made of Poly-phenylene Sulphide (PPS) and Cast Iron materials and compared the results. Centrifugal impeller is modeled in Solid works, and that model is imported in Ansys-Software, using Ansys-Software we investigated Static and Dynamic behavior of impeller and found that the impeller with Polyphenylene Sulphide (PPS) material is best compared to Cast Iron.","PeriodicalId":394517,"journal":{"name":"International Journal for Research in Engineering Application & Management","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121762830","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Insurance fraud is an act of receiving the benefits to which they are not entitled or when a person makes false claims to receive the benefits. The type of insurance fraud are diverse and it occurs in all areas of insurance, among them Auto/vehicle insurance is the most noticeable one. Detecting insurance fraud is the major issue and it is hard through Traditional method as it is more time consuming and expensive, hence it needs an automatic system, so that one can detect whether the claim is genuine or fraud. Through the use of advanced technology like machine learning insurance fraud detection can be done in an efficient way. Here, we focus on identifying the auto/vehicle fraud through the use of machine learning algorithms. Likewise, the performance will be computed by the confusion matrix.
