Building upon “WhiteNet”, a white space network management platform for campus connectivity, this paper proposes design principles that can be incorporated in a white space identification system based on a cooperative spectrum sensing model that both minimizes the probability of causing interference to primary users due to false negatives and reduces false positives thereby increasing the amount of white spaces identified. Real-world indoor measurements of a TV transmitter signal were used to evaluate the proposed principles. The results reveal the relevance of using these design principles in white space networking using the emerging White-Fi protocol.","PeriodicalId":394466,"journal":{"name":"J. The testbed consists of Global System for Mobiles (GSM), General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and System Architecture Evolution/Long Term Evolution(SAE/LTE) elements implemented on a virtual platform. Our goal is to utilize the testbed to perform security analysis. We used virtualization to get flexibility and scalability in implementation. So as to prove the usability of the testbed, we reported some of the test results in this paper. These tests are mainly related to security. The test results prove that the testbed functions properly.","PeriodicalId":394466,"journal":{"name":"J. Using specific examples of interaction with Bluetooth Low Energy tags we compared existing approaches to the development and the proposed global standards (FI-WARE). Can the proposed unified approach to the creation of services to cover all the possible use cases and scenarios for Internet of Things and Smart Cities services? The paper emphasizes the need to address the simplicity of the development and highlights the critical importance of such a thing as the time to market for new applications and services. By our opinion, time to market and the simplicity of the development are key parameters for any proposed software standard.","PeriodicalId":394466,"journal":{"name":"J.
