The proposed technique enables the distribution of the original copyright message without any distortion of original digital images by avoiding embedment of the original copyright message into images. In addition to the efficiency of generating copyright messages, it also has a relatively low computational complexity. To verify the propriety of the proposed technique, we performed experiments on its robustness to the external attacks such as histogram equalization, median filtering, rotation, and cropping. Experimental results on restoring the copyright message from images distorted by attacks show that more than 90%, on the average, can be recovered.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130505028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is based on two error criteria, i.e., equiripple error criterion in the passband and least-squared error criterion in the stopband. The filter design problem is transformed into an equivalent bicriterion optimization problem. A two-step solution procedure of the considered problem is presented. In the first step, a genetic algorithm is applied. The final point from the genetic algorithm is used as the starting point for a local optimization method. Two design examples are given to illustrate the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124156350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There has been a highly focused research on the analysis of symbolic data in recent years. Since most of the future applications involve such general form of data, there is a need to explore novel methods to analyze such data. In this paper we present two simple novel approaches for the classification of symbolic data. In the first step, we show the representation of symbolic data in binary form and then use a simple hamming distance measure to obtain the clusters from binarised symbolic data. This gives the class label and the number of samples in each cluster. In the second part we pick a specific percentage of significant data samples in each cluster and use them to train the adaptive auto-configuring neural network. The training automatically builds an optimal architecture for the shown samples. Complete data has been used to test the generalization property of the RBF network. We demonstrate the proposed approach on the soybean bench mark data set and results are discussed. It is found that the proposed neural network works well for symbolic data opening further investigations for data mining applications.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129467549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper shows that the rough set theory provides a convenient tool for the purpose. We collect the emotion data when people see a set of predesigned random color patterns and extract the coarse rules for the emotional evaluation of the color patterns using VPRS (Variable Precision Rough Set) theory. Those rules can be used not only to approximately evaluate color patterns such as wall papers but also to set the initial conditions for the precise mapping system based on adaptive fuzzy logic from image features to emotion spaces represented by linguistic image scales.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"08 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123429474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Proposed algorithm is based on the physical concept, called Lapacian equation and we also discuss the mapping of the depth from scene to displayed image. The approach to solve the problem in stereoscopic image which we adopt in this paper is similar to multi-region algorithm which was proposed by N.Holliman. The main difference thing in our algorithm compared with the N.Holliman's multi-region algorithm is that we use the Laplacian equation by considering the distance between viewer and object. We implement the real time stereoscopic image generation method for OpenGL on the circular polarized LCD screen to demonstrate its real functioning in the visual sensory system in human brain. Even though we make and use artificial objects by using OpenGL to simulate the proposed algorithm, we assure that this technology may be applied to stereoscopic camera system not only for personal computer system but also for public broad cast system.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130010553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As x by wire is introduced to the several part in vehicle, the demand of automotive semiconductors are increasing. Because it will be mandatory for every car to be equipped with Car Black Box, it is expected that many ICs for Car Black Box also will be integrated. Unlike general electronic control units (ECUs) as PCB or module, car black box implemented on a single chip can reduce its size, power consumption and the cost. So the topic of this paper is to develop the Embedded controller for Car Black Box using SoC (System on Chip) technique. System on Chip (SoC) is the effective method to implement embedded system like car black box, which consists of processor, memory, I/O peripheral and several interfaces. SoC for Car Black Box system consists of 8051 processor, CAN (Controller Area Network) controller, JPEG compressor, SD controller for dumping the data from memory buffer to SD card, ROM for programming and SRAM acting as memory buffer. Describing the design process in the hardware and software, it was shown in the verification using MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class) program whether the required data such as image, location and other vehicle control status information was recorded and recovered.","PeriodicalId":394071,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence (ISITC 2007)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116384129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
