Rodríguez","doi":"10.14522/DARWINIANA.2013.12.529","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.14522/DARWINIANA.2013.12.529","url":null,"abstract":"This paper integrates archaeobotanical research conducted in Antofagasta de la Sierra based on the identification, anatomy, and use of both present plant resources and archaeological plant remains, recovered during fieldwork between 1994 and 2000. Transects starting from the archaeological sites, the surrounding plant communities, and the species found are described. Characterization of present plant diversity also included the popular name and actual use of every species. Archaeological plant remains were identified by anatomy in comparison with present plant species in the studied area and their anatomical characters are here described and documented with digital images taken with compound microscope (bright field) and scanning electron microscope. Leotia lubrica (Ascomycota, Leotiomycetes, Leotiales, Leotiaceae) was recorded for the first time from Argentina in Lago Puelo National Park, Chubut Province. It has been previously cited in the native forest of Chile, Los Lagos Region in southern South America. The species is distributed in temperate regions around the world. The presence of Anadenanthera colubrina var. colubrina for the Argentinean flora is confirmed. This variety is distinguished by three morphological characters: structure of the inflorescence, fruit characte- ristics and venation type of the folioles, being the latter very useful when studying vegetative material. The variety colubrina inhabits the same areas as var. cebil. El genero esta representado por 12 especies y una variedad, ocho de estos taxones son endemicos de Chile. Las especies se distribuyen desde la zona mas septentrional del territorio, region de Arica y Parinacota, hasta la region de Los Lagos, al sur. Sin embargo la mayor diversidad especifica se encuentra en las regiones centrales, de Coquimbo, Valparaiso y Metropolitana. Se describen e ilustran cada una de las 12 especies de Glandularia. This new record was discovered during the study of herbarium specimens from BA and LP, and then corroborated with field collections from Cruce Caballero Provincial Park and Urugua-i Provincial Park. In addition to the characteristics of rhizome and lamina, the spores were an important information source for the identification of this species. The combination Tilia xmoltkei was done for hybrids of Tilia americana L. x T. petiolaris DC. The parentage aeeepted here accepted is Tilia americana L. x T. tomentosa Moeneh subsp. petiolaris (DC) Soo, and the correct designation for this rank is Tilia viridis (Bayer) Simonk. nothosubsp. moltkei (Dippel) Xifreda combo nov.
