We represent the lane markings on the road by a modified hyperbola-pair model, which contains two parts. The first one is a parallel straight line model, which is achieved by Hough transform. The second one is a hyperbola-pair line model, which is achieved by a searching strategy with the parameters got in the first stage as initial parameters. Experiment results show a robust performance in a noise condition, such as part of the lane markings are occupied by other vehicles in the lanes. The algorithm can provide accurate information of location and curvature of the lane markings in real-time.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131376813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The resources required by task implementation are utilized in modeling both the robots and the tasks. The robots are required to work cooperatively in forming coalitions to accomplish the tasks. There are two types of constraints for task-imposed resource. One is the basic constraint to guarantee fundamental task ability for individual robots involved in the task. The other one is the additional constraint to ensure all robot coalitions to possess sufficient resources for successful task implementation. Design of leader selection, coalition forming and coalition evaluation algorithms are presented in the paper. Experiments are performed on a group of heterogeneous mobile robots to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127534050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have developed a multi-DOF robotic forceps manipulator using a novel omnidirectional bending mechanism, and for the developed robotic forceps manipulator, we proposed a passivity based bilateral control that enables motion scaling in both position tracking and force tracking, and guarantees the stability of the teleoperation system in the presence of constant time delay, so far. In this paper, the passivity based bilateral control is improved so as to guarantee the stability of the teleoperation system not only in the presence of the constant time delay but also in the presence of the time varying delay. However, the proposed bilateral control law is applicable only to the one DOF bending motion of the robotic forceps. Therefore, using the change of coordinates, the proposed bilateral control scheme is extended so that it may become applicable to the omnidirectional bending motion of the robotic forceps. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, experimental works were carried out for the developed robotic forceps.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126790216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Questions are widely concerned that whether the input and output of the two systems are coordinated, whether the impact of the input is evident. Aiming at the questions above, based on Liaoning province regional economy as the research scope, this article selects the port and shipping system and economic society system between the years 1996 and 2008 as the Decision Making Units and adopts the DEA model to analysis the data of the input and output of the two systems. The result shows that harmonious level of the two systems is fluctuated, only in 2003 which are relatively valid. Hence the government should be responsible for coordinating with relevant departments to ensure the effective running of the two systems.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123139148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The logistics services based on logistics value network are bound to adopt modularity operation. The modularity process of logistics systems design reflects that the effective operation of the logistics standardization systems is one of the key elements in the development of logistics industry. There are potential risks existing in the modularity value of the designer. Therefore, the governments should bear investment risks to develop logistics standards and establish government-led logistics standardization systems so that make logistics standards grow from imperfection to perfection and ultimately achieve “lug and Play” in the design of logistics systems, which is the basic idea of logistics standardization.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115054911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, based on the surface EMG signals, we propose a gesture recognition method and a novel distinction method of the singularity in operation. In order to evaluate the proposed gesture recognition and singularity distinction methods, experiments were carried out. In the experiment for gesture recognition, the recognition of 6 kinds of hand gestures of a wrist and a finger was performed. In the experiment for singularity distinction, assuming the peculiarity or the inexpertness of the operator, the same gesture was performed quickly as unusual operation, and unusual operation was distinguished from usual operation using the defined index of the singularity.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124956372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is essential to develop a decision support system (DSS) for emergency response of hazardous materials road transportation accidents to improve emergency response ability and reduce accidents hazards. A framework based on quality function deployment (QFD) method to design DSS scheme selection was proposed. First of all, this paper identified DSS design scheme selection problem, which took into the requirements of government departments and transport enterprises, then applied the method based on QFD to lead the user's requirements into technical attributes of DSS design. In addition, Fuzzy set theory was applied in the QFD method, to evaluate the linguistic terms and variables in questionnaire and evaluation. Finally, a real case was given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128731781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method plays a very important role in an experiment. This technique is both effective and efficient once the assumption of SB is satisfied; that is, it can find the most important factors in simulation experiment, but it needs relatively few simulation runs. Finding the most important factor can simplify the process of simulation experiment. After using this method in the simulation models of a simple supply chain, it proves that Sequential Bifurcation can correctly and efficiently identify the most important factors in this supply chain.","PeriodicalId":393739,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116402021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
