On account of a good many of factors, such as the uneven ends of billet, the rusty billets, the non-standard printed characters and so on, the irregular characters at ends of steel billet may be connected and broken. Improper segmentation of connected and broken characters will lead the characters distorted directly and then impact on the recognition results. In view of these complex factors, a segmentation algorithm based on self-adaptability decision is proposed to improve the segmentation self-adaptability in this paper. The polarization state changes of the dual-polarization mode component along the PMF are theoretically analyzed, and the dependence formula of the optical power output on the scanning wavelength and fiber birefringence is derived. The experimental device is built using a tunable narrow-band light source and polarization detection components, and the birefringence and its temperature characteristics of the panda fiber are tested. This paper introduces the application of DC zonal distribution system in shipboard integrated power system, and discusses the advantages of DC zonal distribution system compared to the conventional one. The key technologies needed to be solved are summarized, and the analyses of practical significance and application prospects are given. A new fiber Bragg grating dynamic signal demodulation method based on work-point controlling is present in the paper. The operation principle of the new method and the signal processing scheme of the work-point controlling are expounded systematically. The experiment measurement device is built using the tunable narrow-band laser, which has achieved signal demodulation with high precision. Key problems such as camera calibration, characteristics extraction and 3D coordinate's calculation were analyzed. The distances between apples and cameras were measured with the proposed method under different circumstances. Experimental results showed that the average relative error was about 3.54% with the help of matched cancroids when the working distance ranged between 300-1000mm. In order to validate and improve the geometric accuracy of ADS40 which is a kind of three-tine-scanner photogrammetric airborne sensor, a geometric calibration method is developed in this paper using a test field. According to ADS40, schemes and theories of the geometric calibration method are introduced, a calibration model which is based on self-calibration bundle adjustment is proposed. The effects of factors, such as flight strip arrangement, amount of ground control point, and additional parameters of the calibration model and so on, influencing the accuracy of ADS40 are analyzed through experiments. Consequently, experimental results showed that the self-calibration model can highly improve the geometric accuracy of ADS40. Based on the consideration of the car-pedestrian conflicts on assistant-road, this paper proposed a new design method of pedestrian crossing facilities on urban expressway. First, the crossing types have been described through analyzed the car-pedestrian conflicts on the assistant road. Second, based on the results of the car-pedestrian flows on the assistant road, which have been computed by the new method, the critical setting conditions figures of crossing facilities have been drew. Then the location of the overpass's foot has been decided through the volume of crossing-street and riding-bus pedestrian. According to the actual running conditions of the train, a set of fuzzy neural network controllers is proposed aiming at improving speed adjustment, riding comfort of passengers and accuracy of the stopgap. An expert decision-making system based on the operators' experience is used here for selecting the appropriate controller working on the control loop in accordance with the running condition reasoning from the train's current speed, acceleration, and location.
