This paper explores the development of encapsulation and IP mobility schemes, and then proposes a system for mobile, multi-hop WiMAX (IEEE 802.16j) to provide robust internet access during mobility.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125931614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technique provides a means for linearizing the nonlinear system in such a way as to not limit the large signal behavior of the target system. The algorithm first finds the initial point of a crack and then determines the crack's classification into transverse, longitudinal and alligator types. Different search algorithms are used for different types of cracks. Then the algorithm traces along the crack pixels to find the break point and then connect the identified crack point to the nearest break point in the particular search area. The nearest point then becomes the new initial point and the algorithm continues the process until reaching the end of the crack. The experimental results show that this connection algorithm is very effective in maximizing the accuracy of crack identification.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128602205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The robust control algorithm is developed under the Matlab/Simulink environment, and by using real-time workshop tools, the code is generated and deployed into the PIC processor. The power saving for multi-hop transmission is investigated by adopting the optimal transmission range. We focus on wireless mesh networks with stationary nodes. The resource allocation part assigns frequency bands to links such that the interference between those links is minimized while maximizing the coherence time of each link. The routing part selects the paths with the best end to end delay while avoiding links with high interference and short coherence time. The proposed algorithm shows a noticeable improvement in average end to end packet success rate and average end to end delay.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123735617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, accuracy deterioration due to environmental factors and the need for manual offline calibration limit the application of these systems. However, division, square root and inverse square root operations required by the QR algorithm are very difficult to implement because they are computationally slow and area-consuming arithmetic operations. This paper presents unified hardware architecture for fast, area efficient QR factorization based on the Householder transformation. Newton-Raphson, and Goldschmidt algorithms are used for fast division, square root and inverse square root blocks. By using a unified architecture, area and power requirements for QR factorization are reduced without decreasing overall speed. The design and implementation of the proposed hardware is presented with synthesis results based on FPGA hardware.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130518733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
