The value of these old pictures and paintings is the real motive for developing good color restoration techniques. In this paper, two approaches for color restoration are introduced. The first approach is a combination of the standard deviation-weighted gray world and the Combined Gray World and Retinex (CGWR) techniques. The second approach is based on some modifications of the Multi Scale Retinex (MSR) theory. These modifications are developed to imitate the effect of the neighboring pixels on the human eye. The output of the modified MSR is introduced to the CGWR algorithm in an attempt to enhance the performance of the original technique. In this paper, experimental results provide a comparison between the two proposed color restoration approaches and some traditional basic techniques.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134203556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So mining of interesting patterns from the set of mined patterns is an issue. According to the user's interest at particular time, set of interesting patterns can be mined; the interest of user can vary with the time. In this paper we proposed that using goal programming we can find the interesting patterns according to the user's requirement at particular time. In order to control the priority of interesting patterns we can attach the deviational variables. Issues of optical directionality, being related to the optical modulation depth, are investigated for a variety of retroreflecting structures. A composite solid retroreflector is introduced as a novel element for such optical wireless systems, and it is shown that this device has an omni-directional retroreflective angular response covering the full 4Πsteradians solid angle. File sharing is one of the rationales for computer networks with increasing demand for file sharing applications and technologies in small and large enterprise networks and on the Internet. With the popularity of mobile phones in day-to-day activities, P2P file sharing in mobile phones is highly desirable, especially in 2/2.5G mobile networks. The proposed model is based on a hybrid or semi centralized architecture with the central database server acting as an interface between the mobile devices. The P2P communication model employs the Short Messaging Service (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) as the messaging medium. The mobile phone initiates a search for a particular file on the mobile P2P network using a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection. The database replies the “searcher” mobile phone with a list of all the available files and the details of the mobile phones that have them. Using this information, the requesting mobile phone makes a SMS connection to any of the phones provided by the database server. The mobile phone with the file then sends it to the requesting mobile phone using the MMS. We present an architectural model using mobile proxy, SMS and MMS, for a mobile P2P network for 2/2.5G networks despite operator constraints.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128679154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The original IIR VFD filter design problem is nonconvex. As an attempt to tackle this difficulty, an iterative procedure is introduced, and the Steiglitz-McBride (SM) reweighting technique is employed at each iteration to transform the original approximation error into a (convex) quadratic form. The stability of designed IIR VFD filters can be ensured by imposing a set of linear stability constraints based on the positive realness. The proposed algorithm can be applied to design IIR VFD filters with either fixed or variable denominator. Two examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129045477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model consists of two traffic classes of voice and data. In order to give a priority to handoff call over new call, some parameters in this model are adjusted in a manner that handoff dropping is reduced to the least probability in the target cell and the adjacent cells. Some channels are reserved for voice and data calls in each cell to guarantee the quality of service requirements in the network. Limited fractional guard channel is used to have an optimized call admission control which reduces data blocking probability. At the end, the two-dimensional traffic model is stimulated and the related results are reviewed.","PeriodicalId":393467,"journal":{"name":"2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125738698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
