For that promotion needs to be done by them. When carrying out promotional activities, it is necessary to look at the availability of the budget, so it is necessary to be selective and choose the right promotional media and according to the budget. Selection of promotional media in addition to considering the budget, there are several criteria that must be considered, therefore the selection requires a multi-criteria method, one of which is TOPSIS. Initial weighting of the criteria for TOPSIS can be done with Fuzzy AHP, this method is used because it can overcome the fuzzy assesment when performing pairwise comparisons. So far, there are not many combined applications of Fuzzy AHP and TOPSIS in the selection of promotional media, so this research is expected to have a contribution to fill the gap. From the results of the study, it was found that the order of criteria that were important for the study program in the selection of promotional media were; cost, reach, audience fit and easy to apply. The distribution process must be able to deliver products on time while it also reduces the transportation costs which can consume around 50% of the company's total logistics costs. If distribution costs can be reduced, it can indirectly increase the company’s profit. PT. GSI, located in Yogyakarta, is a distributor of packed drinking water company with brand “PLG”. In determining the distribution route, PT. GSI does not use any scientific method and only uses the driver’s intuition. The purpose of this study is to optimize the distribution route of the “PLG” packed drinking water delivery to obtain the minimum mileage by using the Clarke and Wright Savings and Nearest Neighbor methods. The Clarke and Wright Savings method and the Nearest Neighbor method are used because the customer locations are far from each other and there are also customers whose delivery locations are centered on one delivery area, so that the calculation of distance savings is needed. Then the evaluation is done to determine which method is better. The comparison of the solution for data on 1st ,2nd ,3rd ,4th, and 6th March 2021 showed that the Nearest Neighbor method proposed best solution while data on 5th March 2021 showed that Clarke and Wright Savings giving the best solution. The results show that the Nearest Neighbor method provides better result in determining the distribution routes of PT. CV Halalan Thoyiban is a bakery company engaged in the manufacture of various breads. The products of this company are various bread such as Bakpia Green Bean and Bakpia Green Coconut. The problem that occurs in the company is the low efficiency of bakpia bread production, caused by the large number of machine breakdowns so that the optimal level of machine productivity is not achieved. The production machine, especially the oven machine often breaks down and causes the production process to stop. Based on these problems, in this study, an analysis of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) was carried out using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to measure the effectiveness of the machine. Further analysis of the cause-and-effect diagram is conducted to propose the improvement recommendation. The results of the analysis show the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for the oven machine obtained an average of 38.1%, where the activity measured at the availability index is 59.72%, the performance index is 68.90% and the quality ratio is 93.30%. The OEE value is low and does not meet the World Class standard. The main causes are large breakdowns and long maintenance processes. The first improvement recommendation is applying preventive maintenance based on the planned maintenance schedule. The second recommendation is providing a training to operators about machine operation and maintenance. And the last is providing a simple installation for gas cylinder to avoid the long changing time to maximize performance of the oven machine.","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"23 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133105368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some building material management companies in one of their departments produce split stone, which in its production there are several types of products based on size to meet various consumer demands. In production, especially in the 2021 period, there will be fluctuating or uneven production levels, where in one month there will be high production, and in another period there will be a decrease in production. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the calculation of productivity to identify what factors cause the productivity of split stone production to fluctuate. This research was assisted by using the objective matrix (OMAX) and fault tree analysis (FTA) methods. the results of the productivity recapitulation found that the attendance data component obtained an average score of 2.3 which is the lowest average when compared to other components. therefore with these results, attendance is the strongest factor affecting fluctuating productivity.","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126311350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PT. Satria Abadi is a manufacturing company engaged in the leather tanning process. Leather processed by PT. Adi Satria Abadi consists of two types of leather, namely goat skin (Goat Cabretta and Goat Batting) and sheep skin (Sheep Cabretta and Sheep Batting). In the tanning process, PT. Adi Satria Abadi sometimes encounters several obstacles, one of which is insufficient raw materials. This is because there has not been an estimate of the need for raw materials for the production process to fulfil demand. To deal with these obstacles, it is necessary to estimate the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Cabretta Leather and Sheep Batting Leather so that there is no shortage of raw materials that can hinder the leather tanning production process. Based on the pattern of demand for raw materials, Sheep Cabretta Leather and Sheep Batting Leather are included in a random or fluctuating demand pattern. Therefore, the method used to predict the need for raw materials is Single Exponential Smoothing with 0.1 to 0.9. From the results of the calculation of forecasting accuracy, it was found that the smallest MSE value lies in the results of forecasting with the Single Exponential Smoothing method with an alpha value of 0.7 of 44560919259, while in sheep Batting Leather, it also lies in the Single Exponential Smoothing forecasting with an alpha of 0.7 with an MSE value amounting to 31462955201. Therefore, the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Caretta Leather for June based on forecasting calculations using the Single Exponential Smoothing method with an alpha value of 0.7 is 964,878.62 SF, while for the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Batting Leather is 989,018.39 SF.","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132584860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this, there are new concepts for the development of SCM, namely Lean Supply Chain (LSC), Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM), and Supply Chain Network Design. Where LSC applies lean to address waste in the distribution chain, maximizing production, so costs will be reduced, and competitiveness will increase. Whereas SCQM in its application has the term internal dimension, namely quality management and external dimension, namely the context of supply chain management. Yogyakarta is known for many metal casting SMEs including SP Aluminium which produce household appliances and crafts. The competition between SMEs that continues to increase will require company performance measurements that are not only based on financial aspects, but also emphasize the balance of other aspects such as the Balanced Scorecard method. Currently, many SMEs such as SP Aluminium have never carried out performance measurements outside financial aspects, while non-financial aspects are also important for business development. The objective of this study is to measure SP Aluminium performance using Balanced Scorecard. The results showed that for the Financial Perspective, SP Aluminium had exceeded ROI and Profit Margin targets, but the Revenue Growth Indicator only reached the company target in 2013. For the Customer Perspective, Customer Profitability had exceeded the target and keeps increasing, but Customer Growth sharply decreased in 2015 and didn’t reach the company target. There are 3 indicators who meet the company target on Internal Business Process Perspective: Product Innovation, Operation Process, and After-sales Process. Meanwhile another indicator, Defective Product Ratio did not meet the company’s target. For Learning & Growth Perspective, Employee Productivity had exceeded the company target since 2013. Meanwhile for Employee Satisfaction indicator, 76,40% of the employees were satisfied working in SP Aluminium. Work posture is an important aspect that needs to be considered in the industrial world, especially in the production process activities. Movement errors that are carried out repeatedly over a long period of time will cause fatigue of musculoskeletal disorders (loading errors on muscles and skeleton) and this can reduce the performance of workers in doing their work. So it is necessary to analyze the work posture of workers or employees using the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) and RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) methods which are work posture research methods to investigate disorders of the limbs. Based on the results of data processing using the REBA method, it can be concluded that the work posture in the wet sorting sector has a score of 9. This work posture really needs to be improved and will cause a high impact / risk if it continues. In the results of data processing using the RULA method, the work posture of the milling station workers has a final score of 7. This means that the work posture needs to be improved.
