Fuel prices that are high enough can have an impact on operational costs that were incurred by an airline. The purpose of this study was to avoid re-fueling at the re-fueling stations that cost more than the original station. This study used the fuel tankering method, and also focused on the Garuda Indonesia flight B737-800 NG airline with Jogyakarta-Singapore-Jakarta route and alternative airports at Pekanbaru and Surabaya. From the results of the data that was obtained and the analysis the result of this study was by refueling using the fuel tankering method was more profitable than normal way of re-fueling. However, there were aspects that need to be considered in the route using this method including temperature, altitude, flight distance and fuel prices that were differrent at each airport.Keywords: Route, Fuel Price, fuel tankering method.","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131401066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the efforts in developing the local economy is by making regional superior products such as the development of batik that has been internationally recognized by UNESCO as Indonesia's cultural heritage. Karawang has distinctive batik and is different from batik from other regions, so this batik is admired by the Karawang community itself. The distribution of Karawang batik still has many obstacles both in terms of regional conditions, the number of craftsmen and branding that are not yet strong. This research focuses on re-mapping the flow of Karawang batik distribution with reference to risk management. This research is very important to improve the flow distribution of Karawang batik, so that it will make the distribution coverage of this batik even wider. This study uses a mapping method distribution flow, taking into account the risk management. The risk management itself uses a Risk Register map, so that the risk exposure from Karawang batik will be increasingly clear and is expected to make mitigation and minimize risk. After conducting a causal analysis and risk map, several proposals were extended to expand the scope of marketing, including the Religious Community, the Government Organizations, Banking Companies, Private Companies, Motor and Car Commodities. The proposal is expected to be implemented and have a positive influence. Furthermore, it will be monitored once a year to see the changes < Keyword: batik karawang; causal analysis; risk register map","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134451831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to manage the critical situation, the stakeholders are trying to implement the most recent and innovative technique to the production system. The aim is to attain effective and efficient. One important step to reach efficient working process is by understanding wastes occurred along the production line and try to reducing their presence. Lean manufacturing approach is one of the powerful philosophies to guide a company to improve their quality, by providing varieties of tools and strategies. This approach is able to help company in many sectors, such as identification and elimination of waste, better quality of product and service, lowering the production cost, reducing the human effort and the production process time. In this study, a small industry was chosen as the object of the research. The aim of the research is to identify waste that occurs in the production using waste assessment model then solve the problem and determine the value added activity in the whole production process of cake using value stream mapping. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that based on the current state value stream mapping, the value of the process cycle efficiency is only 28.49% which is still relatively un-lean. From the overview is also identified the departments that were subjected to the identification are the emergence of goods WIP (work in process), the amount of finished goods inventory, and long lead time. After using PAM, it is known that the whole process of making cake consisted of 28.49% of time spent on value-added activities, 3.35% non-value-added activities, and the rest for necessary but non value added activity. This study has proposed schedule for the Green-bean-filling`s department. This proposed schedule is able to increase the process cycle efficiency to 41.36%. Planning the amount of inventory that will be owned company is one of the problems often faced by companies. Especially when the inventory is one important factor that can support the company's production processes and help meet customer demand. For companies that have strategies make to stock, inventory can have a major impact on the pricing of the product or the company's finances. Appropriate inventory management can be one of the keys to minimize and optimize the company's costs to be incurred. Determination lot size in MRP is a complex and difficult problem. Lot size is defined as a quantity stated in the order acceptance and delivery of orders in the MRP. Decisions about the size of the lot and when production is very important because it involves the use of labor and equipment are economical. Based on observations there are 13 components which are arranged in the trolley assembly process and are divided into 4 work stations in the production process. After making a map process operations per each work station, the cycle time for 1800 seconds is obtained. Based on data analysis about inventory costs for each component, it can be seen that the calculation using the EOQ method is the method that produces the calculation results with the largest value of Rp. 111,000,500, - then for the L4L and POQ methods produce the calculation results that have the same value of Rp. 16,200,000. Then the decision taken is to choose the L4L method because with this technique can produce exactly how many raw materials needed.","PeriodicalId":393244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Industrial Engineering and Halal Industries","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131289685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
