","PeriodicalId":39101,"journal":{"name":"Revue d''Homeopathie","volume":"12 1","pages":"Pages 42-45"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122533479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Context

Faced with the failures he encountered in treating chronic diseases using only the principle of similarity, Samuel Hahnemann gradually developed a more holistic approach to the patient. He identified three miasms or diatheses, also called chronic reaction modes (CRM), corresponding to the body's different reactions to disease. Starting with the responses to scabies, he developed the psoric CRM. Then with responses to gonorrhea, the sycotic CRM and with those to syphilis, the syphilitic CRM. In the twentieth century the tuberculin CRM was added.

Objective

To provide the diagnostic elements to enable the identification of a patient's CRM.
