Understanding how gamification affects existing customers is crucial to the success of these applications. To address this, we developed a study proposing a conceptual model that assesses the impact of variables such as gamification, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, reward, emotional motivation, benefit motivation, intended use behavior, and customer loyalty. The reward factor indirectly impacts both motivations for customer loyalty. This model can be used by scholars to study technology adoption behavior related to gamification in service industries. The study collected a sample of over 300 Gen Z individuals and used both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including the 5-point Likert scale and software such as SPSS and SMART PLS to analyze the data and test the SEM model. The findings provide valuable insights into the application of gamification as a novel marketing strategy, which can help ensure user loyalty and attract more potential customers, thereby increasing business revenue. Overall, this study contributes to understanding the impact of gamification in e-banking and e-wallets.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135219794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, research on doctorate education point out that most candidates in Kenyan public universities spend lengthy period of time to earn their doctorate degrees. Furthermore, data of those enrolling in selected Kenyan public universities demonstrate that less students enroll for doctorate programmes in contrast with those who register for Master and Bachelors’ programmes. Institutional resources have been cited as a critical ingredient toward enhanced students’ enrolment into doctorate programmes. The purpose of this paper was, therefore, to establish the influence of institutional resources on doctorate degree enrolment and completion rates from selected Kenyan public universities. The study sought to analyse institutional resources influence on doctorate degree programmes enrolment and completion rates from selected public universities in Kenya for the last fifteen years. The study employed the mixed methods research design. Data was collected from four purposively sampled universities using questionnaires, analysis of documents (on enrolment, completion and staff enrolments) and interview schedules. Qualitative data was coded and then thematically analysed guided by the study objectives while quantitative data was analysed using percentages and graphs. The study revealed that institutional resources influence enrolment and completion rates at doctorate level. Availability of qualified and sufficient academic staff, funding, mentorship programmes, well equipped libraries, reliable internet connections and ambient social environment to be critical in determining where one enrolls for a doctorate programme and how long it will take to complete. The study furthermore established that between 2003 and 2017, there was low doctorate programmes enrolment and completion rates at the selected public Universities Kenya. This was demonstrated from trends in the numbers of those who enrolled and those who graduated. The trends revealed that more males than females enrolled and completed their studies with the highest being between 2008 and 2013. The findings of this research would be resourceful to university policy makers, administrators and lecturers to improve on institutional policy framework with regard to institutional resources which could be used to enhance doctorate programme enrolment and completion in Kenyan public universities.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135995157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This has led to a steady increase in academic interest in knowledge workers research, as evidenced by the rise in the number of related publications. However, there is a dearth of research on the growth and existing literary landscape of research focusing on knowledge workers, thus making it challenging for scholars to determine the current trends and future direction in this area. To address the issue, this study provided an overview of the evolution of academic research on knowledge workers over four decades (1981-2021) and identified the existing key trends. A bibliometric review of the data extracted from the Web of Science database using Biblioshiny and VOS viewer. The analysis of 1667 articles confirmed a steady growth in the literature on knowledge workers both in terms of the number of publications and citations. The study identified the evolution of knowledge research in three key dimensions: knowledge work, performance, and human capital. Moreover, “performance”, “management” and “model” have also become the most frequently occurring words. The research findings not only deepened our comprehension of the research landscape but also provided insights into potential implications.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135995038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a delayed retrospective questionnaire, this paper aims at eliciting EFL reading strategies from seven Chinese high school students. The results show that most of the students are able to adopt cognitive strategies, in their reading progress, such as memorizing, using background knowledge, underlining the key information, and finding clues from the context. However, low-proficiency students tend to use fewer strategies than high-proficiency students due to either limited English competence or a lack of self-confidence. In addition, all of them also adopt testing strategies such as skimming and scanning, but very few have an awareness of meta-cognitive strategy that refers to self-reflection on effective EFL learning method. Pedagogical implications are discussed, and possible suggestions are proposed for this EFL community.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135259191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article presents and analyses the issue of labeling of special educational needs, as it is a complex theme with potential benefits and disadvantages. The main idea of the present paper is an empirical investigation regarding methods to reduce the label of educational needs in the classroom.Method: The research is based on the principles of qualitative methodological design without making generalizations (Willig, 2015). A focus group of postgraduate students-teachers with experience in different educational contexts took part in the context of Higher Education. The data were collected based on free-writing texts. The free-writing texts were subjected to content analysis. The free-writing texts were anonymous and the names of the postgraduate students are not referred.Results and Conclusions: The analyses of the data show that labels in Special and Inclusive Education must be addressed with an emphasis on human rights (Clough & Corbett, 2000). Collaborative learning and inclusive teaching combined with teacher abilities and skills are useful to improve the inclusiveness of a school class and to help the school inclusion of all children. Inclusive education is a continuous process of transformation of the education system and it is both an approach to teaching and learning (Bethere et al., 2023).Contribution: The practical significance of the research lies in the inclusiveness of Primary, High School and Higher education for persons with disabilities and the prospects for overcoming them (Akopova et al., 2023). ","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83590228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Burnout is linked to job satisfaction, and both significantly affect job performance. Indeed, the effect was even more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, research has established job satisfaction and quality productivity among professionals, even among teachers, are positively related to emotional exhaustion. This study investigated workload and mental health concerns among teachers. A group of 367 out of 4 447 targeted teachers in public secondary school settings were part of the study utilising a descriptive survey design. Data on burnout was obtained using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-S), while the JSS-S measured teachers’ job contentment. The results showed that burnout is strongly linked to job satisfaction, and the study suggests that the underlying causes of burnout need to be addressed to improve teachers’ work satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76413299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, as a result of the ASEAN economic community's integration in 2015, Cambodia has been focusing more on enhancing its educational system in response to the rapid development of these educational institutions. As a result, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of institutional integration elements on students' academic and intellectual development in three rural universities in Cambodia. Despite numerous research undertaken in developed countries, only few cases have been conducted in least developed countries. This type of research has not been conducted, particularly in Cambodian context. That is why the research will be created and carried out to fill gaps in prior studies of industrialized and developing nations, particularly Cambodia, which has had difficult higher education institutions. This research would be helpful to improve educational experiences in Cambodian rural public universities. This research also helps to a better understanding of how institutional integration elements affect students' academic and intellectual development. The quantitative cross-sectional survey method was utilized in this investigation. A self-reported questionnaire was given out. The participants were 381 third-year students from three Cambodian rural institutions who were chosen at random using stratified random sampling. The data was analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) and structural equation modeling (SEM) tools. According to the statistical findings, three hypotheses had a substantial influence on student's academic and intellectual growth, while one hypothesis was rejected. The findings suggest potential institutional variables for integrating students into social and academic activities to support their academic and intellectual efforts. Furthermore, Cambodian public higher education institutions are encouraged to enhance their academics and academic-related concerns in order to prepare students to compete in regional and international markets. There are also limitations and suggestions for future research.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88995446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intensive involvement of student leaders in school peer counseling programs is a worthwhile link between the students’ body, teachers and the school administration. It is an opportunity for the student leaders to interact and share with the students’ body as they air their views and concerns on academic and discipline issues in the school. Utilization of the information gathered from peer counseling forums by the school administrators in decision making translates to impressive learners’ discipline and academic performance. The study was carried out in Machakos sub-county, Machakos County, Kenya to investigate the impact of student leaders’ participation in school peer counseling programs on learners’ discipline in public and private secondary schools. The study was guided by two objectives; to establish the status of student leaders’ participation in school peer counseling programs and establish the impact on learners’ discipline. The study embraced a descriptive survey design. Simple random sampling and purposive sampling were employed to get the Sample size. Data were collected using questionnaires for the students and teachers and interview schedules for the deputy principals, principals, Board of Management (BoM) chairpersons, and directors of private schools.  Further, relevant documents were scrutinized for triangulation of the information provided by the respondents. The data collected was processed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 21. The statistics were tabulated and subjected to regression analysis using ANOVA and coefficient models.The study established student leaders’ participation in school peer counseling programs as a golden chance for student leaders to interact with fellow learners’ as they express views and suggestions on school routines, rules, and regulations. Action on gathered information created a peaceful school environment suitable for mentoring learners .The result was improved learners' discipline. In contrast, student leaders who did not actively and openly interact with other learners missed an opportunity to gather information on learners' views and hence did not identify real issues affecting learners for the school administration action. The study concluded that participation of student leaders in school peer counseling was significantly higher at (p) 0.003 than student leaders not participating in school peer counseling programs (p) 0.047. Hence the null hypothesis was rejected. The study recommended that school principals and other school administrators should organize frequent school peer counseling programs and encourage student leaders and other learners to air their views.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74970056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That’s because there are many cases where students choose to copy from others or to cheat in their exams and it’s something that many universities try to overcome and avoid. The sample of our study consisted of 250 people studying in various faculties of Greek universities throughout the country. Their answers were analyzed in a questionnaire using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Students’ answers revealed that almost all students at least once in their lifetime have cheated or copied in their homework or in their exams, even though the majority of them knew the effects that plagiarism has in the university community. They state that there are many reasons that have led them there with the most frequent ones being the lack of time, the pressure from the multitude of obligations, the absence of strict controls from the teachers and their desire to succeed.","PeriodicalId":38847,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83146262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
