It is vital to reduce energy consumption to improve lifetime of wireless sensor network. A proficient way to improve lifetime is to partition sensor network into groups called cluster with high energy node acting as leader of the cluster called cluster head. Cluster head is responsible for managing intra-cluster and inter cluster communication. Energy level of cluster head at a given point of time determines life of cluster and thereby whole sensor network. Failure in the cluster head brings cluster communication to halt and may require re-clustering to get sensor network back on track. These activities involve additional energy expenditure and ultimately possess great impact on lifetime of sensor network as a whole. To balance energy consumption among the cluster heads this paper proposes to have cluster of cluster heads within the cluster of sensor nodes. Given a moment, one cluster head act as master of the given cluster and the master-ship is rotated among cluster heads after specified number of rounds of communication. We consider a distributed learning algorithm arisen in the context of CRNs. There are multiple distributed SUs searching for idle channels temporarily unused by the primary network. Optimal MAC is also analyzed with multiple channels and multiple secondary users (SUs). MAC solution for cognitive radio can also be implemented by the perfect and imperfect learning scheme. Perfect or partially observed Markov decision process (POMDP) framework is suitable when the PU's transition probabilities are known or partially known to the SUs. But in the CRNs, SUs are not exactly aware about the presence of the primary user's transmission in the particular spectrum band. So, imperfect learning model is also proposed for these type of unknown transition probability of primary users. Both perfect and imperfect learning is considered with and without the acknowledgement by the receiver. This MAC technique optimizes SU access policy while protecting PU performance. The proposed scheme utilizes W-CDMA system with STBC and a receive array antenna with SBAA processing at the receiver. The received signal is converted into the frequency domain before de spreading and adaptive processing is performed for each subband. A novel SBAA construction is introduced to process W-CDMA signals based on STBC. To improve the performance of the proposed scheme, the evaluation is performed over STBC-SBAA using spreading codes. The introduction of mobile device makes a huge revolution in the field of computer. Unfortunately the storage capacity of these devices is limited; it may hence be useful to have the possibility to store the files on the web and retrieve them at anytime and anywhere. To satisfy this need FTP4Android is available but this protocol having some drawbacks. Our aim is to overcome that problem. Our solution provides enhancement to the FTP4Android by overcoming their drawback. In this dissertation work we proposed the compression technique which will be use to increase the speed of transmission. Also we provide solution over inconsistency and security. We observe that the size distribution of small clusters exhibits persistence over time, and the behavior of large clusters becomes the key to distinguishing the network state at different time step during the evolution process. We also study the behavior of cluster split and merge process, the results shows that small clusters prefer to take part in split process, and merge process prefers to happen between a pair of clusters which have one large cluster at least. Another interesting result we found is the number of free nodes taking part in join process is approximately equal to those taking part in leave process when the time window is large enough. In mass emergency situations wireless technology is the best solution in health care sector also helpful in human disasters and military conflicts. A number of technologies today are emerging with zeal of customer satisfaction. We can use these technologies in Continuous interactions between patients and doctors, monitoring and logging of medical information. Wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, RFID, and WiMAX are exploring the healthcare sector. In this paper we have focused on care of hospitalized patients and prioritizing the maximum information transfer in accidental case from boarding of patient in ambulance to hospital arrival until the patient is out of danger.
