Acquiring fast processing time for some specific tasks workload most likely will satisfy users. In response, cloud providers need to accommodate it by provisioning good tasks allocation policy. Cloud computing as business view, on the other hand, allows provider to manage their physical resources smartly in order to save the energy consumption for their own merit. The approach is beneficial for private Cloud provider in which the privacy can be maintained while still leveraging the potential of public Cloud. This work would like to find a middle point for the good of both. In this paper, virtual and physical machine load balancing scheme is proposed to satisfy both side. This paper contains two different allocation policies in two different level view: Tasks scheduling view and VMs remapping view.","PeriodicalId":387859,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131825649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the static force analysis, it was known that there is one parameter that must be fulfilled by a weighing scale. That parameter, theoretically, causes measurement result not to be affected by the object position. In addition, an equation has been derived to calculate the capacity of sensor required. From the experiment on two commercial weighing scales, the reading error has been identified. The experiment results show differences in measurement reading if the object position is varied. Those differences cause the weighing scale have a reading error. However, the reading error is relatively small, i.e. less than 4%. The results reported here can be used to develop weighing scale for further purpose such as weighbridge.","PeriodicalId":387859,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116785363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, to prevent death in people with urgently needed malaria parasite detection can be done rapidly and accurately, mainly in such areas which is lack of experienced medical officer, such as in rural areas in Borneo and Papua. Furthermore, in an effort to malaria diagnosis, the data are inconsistently made with standard procedure, hence the blood smear data produced are non-standard data. This becoming a huge challenge for the researcher to be able to detect parasite on non-standard data. By using microscope, eyepiece camera, and computer, we propose a method to detect the presence of parasite inside the red blood cells using combination of the Double Thresholding techniques and BLOB analysis. The advantages of this topology are reducing components usage, minimizing the devices stress, and resulting lower output voltage Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). This design employs a high-performance TMS320F28335 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) from Texas Instruments. The chip is powered with Floating Point Unit (FPU) feature for processing three-phase controlled algorithm. The proposed modulation strategy is Carrier-Based Pulse Width Modulation (CBPWM) that can be implemented with a very simple algorithm and fast processing time. In addition, it can generate the highest modulation index up to 1.154 that is feasible under linear modulation, such as Space Vector Modulation (SVM). Finally, a 6 kW three-phase T-type inverter is verified by simulation and experimental result. It can reach 99% efficiency in the full-load condition.","PeriodicalId":387859,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126076503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system is made up of an embedded Arduino microcontroller equipped with Visual C# programming as graphical user interface (GUI). The prototype of the prosthetic hand has five grip modes i.e. hand open and close, hook finger movement, peace finger movement, pointing finger movement, and active thumb. The mechanism of prosthetic hand is designed with selected mode grip pattern, where each motion is triggered from muscle contraction that is acquired using EMG sensors. In addition, the input of EMG signal can be monitored from the graphs in GUI based on Visual C# programming. Each finger in the prosthetic hand prototype is driven by a linear actuator. The objective of this study is to design and develop a prototype of myoelectric hand based on EMG sensor and create a prosthetic hand grip pattern mode program.","PeriodicalId":387859,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123009135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Until now the process of recognizing white blood cell cancer or leukemia is still done conventionally, which method can cause a diagnosis difference if done by different medical personnel. To answer these problems, a desktop-based application will be built. This application is made to help the process of identification and classification of types of leukemia using the technique of processing microscopic images of human blood cells. By doing several approaches, such as pre-processing, using the median filtering method, conversion color (RGB to HSV) to clarify the blood image and tresholding to get the image pattern of blood cells that have. Segmentation will be carried out to separate between objects that will be taken with unnecessary objects. This system will use extracted form features from each cell in microscopic blood images. This feature retrieval will be used as a classifier input which is divided into two classification classes, namely Acute Lympotic Leukemia (ALL) and Acute Myolegenous Leukemia (AML). With this method an accuracy of 80% can be generated for the detection of ALL cells separately (one cell), 100% for AML detection separately (one cell) and 90% for cell detection throughout (many cells).","PeriodicalId":387859,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121859866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
