Currently, there is no universally accepted treatment protocol, and the diagnostic markers, etiology, and specific pathophysiology for developing effective non-pharmacological treatments remain unknown.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To determine the currently established rehabilitation treatment methodologies for CFS. In addition, to establish an analysis of the efficacy of the treatment plans studied and to determine advances on the etiology of CFS.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>A systematic review of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) published since 2011 was conducted. Studies evaluating non-pharmacological interventions for adult CFS patients were included, differentiating them according to chosen diagnostic criteria and variable measurement. The treatment hypothesis of the selected interventions was also taken into account.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>17 RCTs were included, 6 of which based their performance protocol on a self-management booklet and 11 of which did so through face-to-face involvement of a therapist and active therapy. The results of these studies were assessed primarily by patient-reported outcomes, and 5 of these studies reported on objective outcome measures.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>There is no significant evidence on the efficacy of non-pharmacological interventions in CFS patients. In addition, the lack of consensus on diagnostic criteria makes it difficult to compare studies and to develop a standardised treatment plan. The objective is to describe a case of SAE as a form of presentation of a stroke.</div></div><div><h3>Development</h3><div>Male, 72 years old, Spanish, with ischemic heart disease, dyslipidemia, COPD. Autonomous for Activities of Daily Living. Admitted for chest pain on slight exertion. Presents difficulty in responding and obeying orders, feels that the accent and speed of speech are different. His relatives say that he speaks like the English, but in Spanish.</div><div>In neurological examination conscious, oriented, obeys orders, no dysarthria. Language is clear, fluent and intelligible, with alteration of intonation and rhythm. Mild right facial paresis.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>A care plan was developed based on Gordon's functional patterns, with NANDA diagnoses, interventions (NIC) and expected outcomes (NOC). Due to the rarity of the case it is justified to establish an individualized care plan, obtaining 7 nursing diagnoses and 12 nursing interventions with their respective NOC.</div><div>The Clinical Judgment was of ischemic stroke of cardioembolic origin. Epilepsy has always been stigmatized, largely due to lack of knowledge about the disease. One of these myths has been the relationship between chocolate and its power to promote the onset of epileptic seizures.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>Find scientific evidence on brain activation by chocolate and its capacity for epileptogénesis.</div></div><div><h3>Methodology</h3><div>A literature search was performed on PubMed, Google Scholar and Trip database. Subsequently, a critical reading of the selected articles was performed obtaining a total of 10 relevant articles.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>In animal studies, a relationship was found between chocolate consumption and hippocampal seizures. No studies have been found in humans in this line of research, however, in studies in healthy people it has been observed that chocolate activates the mesial temporal and frontal areas, with epilepsy originating in the temporal and frontal lobes, and more specifically the mesial structures, the most prevalent in humans. However, the Tinetti scale has not yet been validated in the Spanish neurological population.</div></div><div><h3>Objectives</h3><div>To analyze the convergent validity of Tinetti scale in post-stroke patients in the subacute phase.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>A cross-sectional study was performed in a neurological rehabilitation clinic including patients who had started rehabilitation within 2 months after the stroke and were hemodynamically stable, excluding patients with psychiatric disorders. Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated to analyze the convergent validity of the Tinetti scale with the clinical assessments TIS, PASS and FAC measured at the beginning of rehabilitation.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>A total of 63 participants were analyzed. The average age was 63.87<!--> <!-->±<!--> <!-->12,93 years and men (58.73%), ischemic stroke (69.84%), stroke located in the middle cerebral artery (44.44%) and high grade of affectation patients predominated. The convergent validity of the Tinetti scale in patients with stroke in the subacute phase at the initial assessment was significantly high with TIS (0.805) and very high with PASS (0.936) and FAC (0.927) (p<!--> <!--><<!--> <!-->0.05).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>Tinetti scale is a valid instrument to assess balance and gait in subacute phase stroke patients and has an excellent convergent validity with other balance and gait clinical scales. It is the first reason for consultation in neurology. About hospitalized patients, we do not have epidemiological data on the global prevalence of headaches in hospitalized patients.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To describe the prevalence of headaches in hospitalized patients, their triggers, and the level of compliance with nursing records.</div></div><div><h3>Methodology</h3><div>This is a descriptive, observational, and cross-sectional study at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH). The data collected were sociodemographic, related to the reason for admission and pain during admission. Statistical analysis was performed with R v4.1.1.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Of the 45 admitted patients, 55% (25/45) participated, 55% (25/45) participated, 64% (16/25) were women. 60% (15/25) had presented headaches during admission, of which 73.3% (11/15) occurred in the last 24<!--> <!-->hours. The 33.3% (5/15) recognized stress as the most frequent trigger, noise (5/15), and income derivatives (3/15). During the daily follow-up by the nurse, 100% (25/25) of the patients answered that they had been asked about pain in general and 32% (8/25) specifically about headaches. No records were obtained due to the computer program's non-existence of nursing clinical variables.</div></div><div><h3>Conclussion</h3><div>Headache is a symptom that occurs prevalently in hospitalized patients. Stress and noise seem to be triggers of this situation. The intervention group consisted of 4 patients and the control group consisted of 8 patients. The control group performed conventional rehabilitation and the intervention group, in addition to conventional rehabilitation, had a 20-minute virtual reality intervention once a week for 6 weeks. Clinical outcomes were measured for the literacy variable before the intervention and 6 weeks after the intervention in both the control group and the intervention group.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>An improvement in literacy was obtained in the control group (9 vs 9.38; p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.18) and in the intervention group (13.75 vs 14.25; p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.31) after the 6 weeks duration of the study. Among biomarkers, the determination of neurofilament light chain (NfL) levels in both cerebrospinal fluid and serum have been shown to predict the severity of MS. Therefore, the objective of the present work was to evaluate the levels of NfL in patients in different stages of MS.</div></div><div><h3>Methodology</h3><div>A descriptive study was carried out, which included 70 patients diagnosed with MS; plasma NfL levels were analyzed using the adsorption enzyme immunoassay kit and the levels of the MS patients were compared with the levels of control patients<strong>.</strong></div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>In patients with MS, 87,14% were women, 21,43% were taking antidepressant drugs, 48,57% had vision complications, and 80% had spinal injuries. It was found that patients with relapsing-remitting phenotype and of male sex have higher levels of NfL.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The results show an increase in NfL in relapsing-remitting phenotype and in male patients, which suggests that there may be greater neuroaxonal deterioration in men and that they have this disease phenotype.
