The main function of these types of networks is their ability to collect physical data from a given environment such as temperature, humidity and light, etc. They are mainly designed for low-power embedded communications. One of the most felt drawbacks of sensor nodes is their inability to recognize their own positions if they are not equipped with a global positioning module (GPS). In this paper, we first implemented the traditional \"Distance Vector Hop\" localization algorithm, known by the acronym \" DV-Hop\" , on the Cooja/Contiki platform, which served as a control sample. Subsequently, we developed a new contribution in which the unknown node estimated its distance to all anchors in the network, based only on locally available information. Our goal was to significantly reduce the distance gap between the actual and the estimated distance. The idea of the contribution was implemented on the Cooja/Contiki emulator, and was based on two techniques: 1-Calculating the distance error rate (Euclidean distance/SSRI distance). 2-Converting the type of node once located into an anchor. Our simulation results show that the proposed DVA-Hop algorithm had a better accuracy than the native \" DV-Hop\" method.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44192663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this type of machines is also susceptible to several combined faults which affect it at the same time. The aim of this work is to study firstly the effects of the mass imbalance with the supply voltage unbalance faults in a combined state, and specifically its effects on the stator currents (distortion of currents waveform and augmentation of current unbalance factor (CUF)). The findings of this research were derived from experimental tests, which enabled us to produce the combined voltage and mass imbalance fault intentionally. The second purpose of this paper is to identify these irregularities. In the field of induction motor fault diagnosis, the stator current analysis techniques have shown to be quite successful and have gained widespread use. Therefore, we used the well-known method motor current signature analysis (MCSA). In addition, we have strengthened the research by using spectral analysis on the Park's components (Id and Iq). The obtained results demonstrate the efficacy of analyzing stator currents and Park components spectra (particularly the direct Park component (Id)) for detecting this kind of electrical and mechanical combined defects","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44537551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We considered two different MZI configurations: the first one with an S-bend & Y-junction and the second with an angular Y-junction. We determined the critical cut-off radius and the critical cut-off angle for the S-bend & Y-junction and the angular Y-junction configurations respectively. Based on the analyses of the evanescent field intensity, the mode polarization and cross section dimensions of the Silicon Rib waveguide are optimized using beam propagation method. The critical parameters of the design are calculated to ensure minimal optical losses and a new sensitivity value of 308 dB/RIU with a detection limit of 10-7, which shows the ability of the structure to produce biosensor.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46411723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In today's technologically advanced digital world, it is regarded as the new digital key. There are two operating modes for biometric systems: identification and verification. The most popular biometric modalities are fingerprints, which are employed in many different industries and professions. Three distinct thinning methods are examined in this study. The proposed work looks into how thinning affects fingerprints, as well as minutiae extraction and texture feature analysis. To improve the quality of the fingerprints, thinning techniques such as Zhang- Suen's, Halls, and Guo Halls have been used. In terms of minutiae extraction, the thinning methods were compared. The minutiae points obtained were used to elaborate on the precision rate of fingerprints after processing. The simulations were run, and the experimental data was examined.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45397474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sensing capabilities of a device to send the collection of sensor data to a cloud requires crowd sensing in order to receive reliable data. Crowd sensing is used in many areas such as traffic monitoring, smart cities, health care, transportations, environmental monitoring and many more. Most of existing works are only based on assumptions in task scheduling about the number of candidate users and are mainly performed optimization of single task allocation. If the candidate users are few, then the completion of task with in the schedule can be difficult for many sensor applications. In this work, we proposed a social network-based task allocation scheme for the optimization of multi task allocation. The main idea of the proposed work is to maximize the task completion within the allocated schedule. It is evident that the task scheduling algorithms are NP-hard and we introduced a decreasing threshold task allocation (DTT) and fast greedy selections (FGS) algorithms along with Crow COOT Foraging Optimization (CCFO) algorithm to allocate the tasks parallelly with maximum efficiency. The proposed algorithms such as C-DTT (CCFO-DTT) and C-FGS (CCFO-FGS_ are used for the efficient allocation of tasks. The combination of these algorithms can be helpful in selecting the candidate users who will perform the completion of maximum tasks. Due to the selection of proper users in each round, the time consumption of the tasks to be completed is greatly reduced. The experimental results also indicates that the proposed work performs well in the optimization of multi task allocation than the other state of the art models.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42070674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
