However, this type of machines is also susceptible to several combined faults which affect it at the same time. The aim of this work is to study firstly the effects of the mass imbalance with the supply voltage unbalance faults in a combined state, and specifically its effects on the stator currents (distortion of currents waveform and augmentation of current unbalance factor (CUF)). The findings of this research were derived from experimental tests, which enabled us to produce the combined voltage and mass imbalance fault intentionally. The second purpose of this paper is to identify these irregularities. In the field of induction motor fault diagnosis, the stator current analysis techniques have shown to be quite successful and have gained widespread use. Therefore, we used the well-known method motor current signature analysis (MCSA). In addition, we have strengthened the research by using spectral analysis on the Park's components (Id and Iq). The obtained results demonstrate the efficacy of analyzing stator currents and Park components spectra (particularly the direct Park component (Id)) for detecting this kind of electrical and mechanical combined defects","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44537551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We considered two different MZI configurations: the first one with an S-bend & Y-junction and the second with an angular Y-junction. We determined the critical cut-off radius and the critical cut-off angle for the S-bend & Y-junction and the angular Y-junction configurations respectively. Based on the analyses of the evanescent field intensity, the mode polarization and cross section dimensions of the Silicon Rib waveguide are optimized using beam propagation method. The critical parameters of the design are calculated to ensure minimal optical losses and a new sensitivity value of 308 dB/RIU with a detection limit of 10-7, which shows the ability of the structure to produce biosensor.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46411723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In today's technologically advanced digital world, it is regarded as the new digital key. There are two operating modes for biometric systems: identification and verification. The most popular biometric modalities are fingerprints, which are employed in many different industries and professions. Three distinct thinning methods are examined in this study. The proposed work looks into how thinning affects fingerprints, as well as minutiae extraction and texture feature analysis. To improve the quality of the fingerprints, thinning techniques such as Zhang- Suen's, Halls, and Guo Halls have been used. In terms of minutiae extraction, the thinning methods were compared. The minutiae points obtained were used to elaborate on the precision rate of fingerprints after processing. The simulations were run, and the experimental data was examined.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45397474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sensing capabilities of a device to send the collection of sensor data to a cloud requires crowd sensing in order to receive reliable data. Crowd sensing is used in many areas such as traffic monitoring, smart cities, health care, transportations, environmental monitoring and many more. Most of existing works are only based on assumptions in task scheduling about the number of candidate users and are mainly performed optimization of single task allocation. If the candidate users are few, then the completion of task with in the schedule can be difficult for many sensor applications. In this work, we proposed a social network-based task allocation scheme for the optimization of multi task allocation. The main idea of the proposed work is to maximize the task completion within the allocated schedule. It is evident that the task scheduling algorithms are NP-hard and we introduced a decreasing threshold task allocation (DTT) and fast greedy selections (FGS) algorithms along with Crow COOT Foraging Optimization (CCFO) algorithm to allocate the tasks parallelly with maximum efficiency. The proposed algorithms such as C-DTT (CCFO-DTT) and C-FGS (CCFO-FGS_ are used for the efficient allocation of tasks. The combination of these algorithms can be helpful in selecting the candidate users who will perform the completion of maximum tasks. Due to the selection of proper users in each round, the time consumption of the tasks to be completed is greatly reduced. The experimental results also indicates that the proposed work performs well in the optimization of multi task allocation than the other state of the art models.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42070674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, there is a surge in demand for comprehensive data mining techniques that can be applied on agricultural prediction. Data mining techniques can be used effectively for predicting the agricultural growth using stochastic model sensing concept which is used to perform better analysis for predicting the dataset. The proposed work introduces a stochastic model that can be applied for agricultural data to predict the growth of any crops using primary time series datasets The framework has assisted in taking correct decisions to classify the dataset based on the threshold value of micro and macro nutrient obtained from National Food Security Mission (NFSM). This paper focus on analyzing the stochastic pattern that assist the proportion of micronutrient elements and also predicts the feature that affect the growth of agriculture by increase or decrease the level of micronutrient elements. Thus, the Expected Growth of Agriculture (EGA) has increased or decreased based on the strength of soil nutrients. Moreover, it will recommend chemical fertilizers and nutrients range to improvise the agriculture growth for each crop. The processed soil sample dataset based on the threshold value of micro nutrient level is obtained from National Food Security Mission (NFSM). The present-day networks necessitate seamless connections regardless of node position and connectivity that has to be accomplished between personal are network (PAN). In this work, a novel method called, Markov Renewal Prediction and Radial Kronecker Neural Network (MRP-RKNN) based optimized handover for seamless mobility in PAN is proposed. By employing a Markov Renewal Prediction model for Seamless Mobility along with the two-hop network architecture, in this paper, we propose a transition probabilities (TP) function to mitigate the persistent handover issue in conventional wireless communication systems. The proposed Markov Renewal Prediction model for Seamless Mobility significantly reduces handover execution time and seamless mobility handover accuracy with efficient transition probabilities. In PANs, the unavoidable deployment of low power sink nodes permits the mobile nodes with many issues in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) due to complication of recurrent handovers due to high mobility. Addressing this issue of handover optimization in the deployment of PAN, this work proposes a model called to optimize the handovers in a cost-efficient manner. In this work, Radial Kronecker Delta Neural Network is utilized for handling frequent handovers based on received signal strength and cost metrics. Here, the resultant desired output is obtained using the Radial Kronecker function being a function of two variables with which optimized handover is performed. Simulation results presented in the study exhibits the performance and prediction rate of the proposed method in terms of handover execution time, seamless mobility prediction accuracy, mobility handover cost and packet loss rate.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43337194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Air suspension systems have a dynamic character that allows good handling of the road and a comfortable ride, but in a certain area for this reason the stiffness of the air suspension must be flexibly changed. The air suspension has been developed with the inclusion of a hydraulic actuator to create an additional force that withstands the incoming vibration from the road. The pneumatic suspension system parameters, such as vertical acceleration, road holding, and vertical displacement, are improved continuously based on the controllers that have been used for nonlinear pneumatic suspension systems, fractional order proportional integral derivative (FOPID), and fuzzy logic control (FLC). The genetic algorithm is utilized to tune the controller's parameters to the nonlinear active pneumatic system's 3-DOF. A model's simulation outcomes with controllers improved the suspension performance. The proposed active pneumatic system and pneumatic suspension systems are compared when a vehicle is traveling at a speed of 72 km/h on an ISO level B road to test the ability and efficiency of the system to suppress body vibration to enhance safety and provide a comfortable ride on rough roads. According to simulation results, the improved suspension substantially lowers vertical vibrations and enhances road adaptability.","PeriodicalId":38637,"journal":{"name":"Instrumentation Mesure Metrologie","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46296704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
