MAK Halliday’s Transitivity System was used for this qualitative-quantitative research by selecting the 30 latest online news articles from May 9, 2023, the election day. Two hundred twenty (220) clauses containing direct and indirect descriptions of Marcos, Jr., and Robredo, whether part of the subject or the predicate, were extracted and analyzed. The results revealed that the three newspapers’ dominant processes were material and verbal when they were clauses’ subjects. Verbiage and goal were also the prevailing circumstances when they were in the clauses’ predicate. This postulates that Marcos, Jr., and Robredo are presented in the news media by what they do and say rather than what they think, feel, become, possess, behave, exist, or are. Further, the study revealed that despite obtaining the same dominant processes and circumstances, they have separate representations – Marcos is presented neutrally, while Robredo is presented positively.","PeriodicalId":385918,"journal":{"name":"AIDE Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132730263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studies are limited to those only from 2019 until the present. Results showed that despite being published and peer-reviewed, most of the arguments used in the studies were only of type 2 under said classification, which includes the presence of one or more claims with simple justification or grounds (data, warrant, and backing) but no rebuttal. Only five include backing, only three have rebuttals, and only two have both. This means that most of the arguments are weak and may easily be defeated by another claim supported by its own data, rebuttal, backing, and counterargument. It is recommended that all the elements of the Toulmin method be used to produce strong arguments. It is also recommended that the Toulmin model be used by those who submit their studies for publication by journals and for these journals to use the said method to determine whether the claims of studies submitted to them are strong and convincing. Inpoliticalinterviews, Roqueascertainstheoverallconversational style portrayed by former Sec. Roque, and glean the conversational style used by Sec. Roque. To achieve these, a descriptive research design was utilized. Five political interviews featuring Roque with accumulated airtime of three hours were transcribed to acquire on-hand data from the conversations. The conversation analysis revealed that Spokesperson Roque employed dominant turn-taking strategies such as overlapping, directness, and indirectness to control the conversation and assert his authority. He did not conform to the traditional manner of politicians, as he was straightforward in his utterances and did not use evasion when asked questions. Spokesperson Roque’s conversation style aimed to command attention, assert authority, talk upfront, and talk longer in political interviews. However, this style aligns differently with the mandate of being a spokesperson as promulgated in Executive Order No. 4, 2010, which emphasizes information sharing and trust building. Notably, Spokesperson Roque’s conversation style was like that of former President Duterte, which highlights the critical role that Presidential Spokespersons play in shaping public perception of the President and their administration. This study underscores the importance of understanding the complex dynamics that govern the relationships between Presidential Spokespersons and the leaders they serve, particularly in modern political communication.","PeriodicalId":385918,"journal":{"name":"AIDE Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125273788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study utilized a mixed method of research, particularly convergent parallel design, with a researcher-made questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. Three hundred twelve (12) participants consisting of one hundred (100) Higaonon, one hundred sixty (160) Manobo, and fifty-two (52) Mamanwa students answered the survey questionnaires. Findings revealed that Multicultural Education has a high impact on the attitudes, beliefs, and practices of indigenous learners. By engaging in multicultural education, learners learn to accept their own culture, which helps to enhance self-knowledge and self-development. Through multicultural education, indigenous learners have learned to appreciate and respect others despite cultural differences. Moreover, findings showed multicultural education had improved the communication skills of indigenous learners; these learners were able to meet and make new friends with non-indigenous learners. However, indigenous learners experienced bullying, which made them feel unwelcome and unrespected. IP learners claimed that poverty, dealing with IP learners, and bullying are the difficulties they have encountered in school. IP learners have learned how to use cellular phones and adapt to the latest music, fashion, and social media trends. Results have shown that multicultural education promotes and has instilled the importance of education among indigenous learners. Higaonon and Manobo learners, however, asserted that IP-related cultural activities were limited only to Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH) lessons, whereas Mamanwa learners claimed that no culture-related activities were conducted in school. Based on such findings, a proposed plan of action was made to solve the issues involving the impact and the undesirable experiences of the Caraga Region IP learners while enrolled in a multicultural education setting. \u0000","PeriodicalId":385918,"journal":{"name":"AIDE Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117177600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study made use of the descriptive quantitative research design. The study was conducted in the School Division of Cauayan City in San Fermin Elementary School, San Isidro Elementary School, and North Central School for the academic year 2021-2022. This paper facilitated a researcher-made questionnaire to gather data on the teachers’ profiles, motivation forms, and perceptions of using the strategy. A Likert Scale was used to analyze the perception of the respondents. Also, the researcher used Spearman’s Rho to draw a correlation between the profile of the respondents relative to their perception and form of motivation used in their elementary classroom. The results revealed that the teachers often used different forms of motivation are small items. Also, teachers perceived the rewards system to be effective for all pupils. Moreover, the elementary teachers strongly agree that using this strategy benefits the classroom facilitators. Hence students’ academic performance increased, and the student’s participation became active with a reward system. In conclusion, the study found that the teachers’ profile and perception of using the reward strategy, higher educational attainment, length of service, and grade level were significantly related. Correspondingly, the forms of motivations of the teachers are linked to the quality of higher educational attainment of the teachers and the grade level they are handling. Thus, the perception of the use of the reward strategy and its forms depends on the profession’s service, the quality of students’ foundation, such as distractors and needs, and the pedagogical mastery acquired through pursuing higher education. The school should encourage teachers to improve the mechanism reward system in their classes. The study participants were delimited to elementary school teachers teaching in a private school in Imus Cavite, Philippines for the school year 2021-2022. The qualitative research strategy based on hermeneutic phenomenological research was used. A guided interview was used to collect data. Data collection and qualitative data analysis are usually done at the same time. The study came out with the following findings: The teachers need music workshops, training, and seminars to help them effectively employ music integration in their classroom for effective delivery of instruction, the teachers’ lack of supportive leadership from the school head, and the lack of resources to be used for teachers to integrate music. This conclusion points to the importance of providing workshops, training, and seminars to teachers, a need for a supportive school head and principal to motivate them to integrate music into their subject matter, and a provision of desired access to resources that would fill the needs of the teachers. Based on the above findings, the following conclusions are presented: The participants’ “lack of music training and ability” is the main reason behind the lack of an even more tremendous amount of implementation in the classroom. The participants do not have enough resources, materials, or a broad grasp of strategies and methods used for music integration. The following recommendations were drawn from the findings of this study: The school should provide desired access to resources and a source that would fill the needs of the participants. The purpose of this study was to investigate junior high school student’s performance in geometry as well as the degree of instructional support provided by their teachers at secondary schools located within the Pampanga Division. For this piece of research, the researcher chose to apply the quantitative research design. A descriptive- correlational methodology was utilized for the purpose of this investigation. According to the findings, instructors have a strong connection and a positive rapport with the groups of pupils that they are responsible for teaching. In addition, it was discovered that school administrators give teachers in public elementary schools training and innovative tools so that the instructors can improve their delivery of the national curriculum while also fostering dynamic and fruitful classroom debates and activities. The results of the study showed that most of the students who participated in the survey did not meet the criteria established for their performance in geometry. The conclusion that may be drawn from this is that kids have a bad performance in geometry, as would be attested by their assessment. In conclusion, the results suggested that there is no significant association between the level of instructional support offered by the teacher- respondents and the level of achievement attained by the student-respondents on the topic of Geometry. It provides the idea that there is no connection between the level of instructional support offered by the teacher-respondents and the performance of the student-respondents in geometry and vice versa. This study investigated the perspectives, challenges, and coping mechanisms of 15 special education (SPED) teachers in Sarangani, the Philippines, employing blended learning as a basis for an enhancement of the blended learning program. Purposive sampling was used in selecting the participants. A hermeneutic phenomenological research design was employed. An interview during the focus group discussion method was used to gather important data. The study used thematic coding called thematic analysis, which finds themes in a text by analyzing the meaning of words and sentence structure. The findings revealed that SPED teachers’ perspectives on blended learning are tough for teachers, parents, and learners, and it requires to support and a strong engagement between teachers and parents. Their challenges were inadequate training on blended learning, unstable internet connection during online instructions, and parents’ lack of instructional knowledge in remote teaching. SPED teachers coped by modifying learning activities to meet the unique needs of the learners and establishing a support system with other teachers in the district to gain new knowledge. The proposed work plan for enhancing the blended learning program is beneficial to support the special education teachers to improve blended learning instructions.","PeriodicalId":385918,"journal":{"name":"AIDE Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115529689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They had to quickly upskill and adopt blended learning (BL) in teaching. That necessitated the most significant shift in teaching practice implemented at the fastest time (Reyes 2021). This research explores teachers’ lived experiences on the BL approach at three Tagaytay City public schools in the Philippines. Findings showed the teachers had a ‘culture shock and were initially reluctant to implement BL as they found themselves neither prepared nor adequately skilled with technology use. The biggest challenge for teachers and students is a lack of access to appropriate devices and reliable internet connection. Teachers eventually adopted BL and a positive mindset to BL to engage students and change pedagogical practices. Teachers improved their technical skills and fostered new collaborative relationships among themselves, their students, and the families of their students. The Study highlighted that continuous teacher training, and the availability of suitable devices are paramount to BL implementation. Training in technology and pedagogy is crucial for better and more effective education delivery through blended learning.","PeriodicalId":385918,"journal":{"name":"AIDE Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129460033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
