The aim is to explore the various aspects of eMobility by practical laboratory tasks. In the first phase of the project, an eKart was assembled. In this phase of the project, the electronic controls are implemented. To finally implement drive-by-wire in an eKart, the speed controls, communication and the drivers-display, are implemented in a single steering wheel. Communication with the speed controller and the battery management system, has to be included in this steering wheel. By implementing all controls, communication as well as the drivers display inside a single steering wheel, simplifies the final eKart design. However, they operate under demanding conditions. Components such as the cross bracket, used to transmit the excitation from the actuation motors to the screen frame, are prone to failure. To improve the welded joints, a newly developed vibrating screen mounting bracket was heat-treated in the oven at 580˚C to relieve the residual stresses in the weld. The air that was trapped inside the interior of the vibrating screen bracket expanded due to the heating and this cased the permanent deformation. This necessitated detailed analysis of the behavior of the bracket under elevated temperature conditions to mitigate the permanent deformations while maintaining expected performance dictated structural integrity. This work aimed to determine the load that caused the permanent deformation of the vibrating screen mounting bracket using experimental, analytical, and numerical methods. The pressure that caused the permanent deformation was determined to be 0.510 MPa and 0.6235 MPa analytically and numerically respectively. This showed a percentage difference of approximately 18%. Some existing techniques, used to identify and classify wireless communication signals, show strong performance, but their sensitivity to noise levels or high computational complexity pose challenges. In this paper, we propose to use a Deep Learning technique, based on Residual Neural Networks (ResNet) to detect and classify V2X (vehicle-to-everything) signals. Three V2X communication technologies are studied and evaluated: ITS-G5, 4G, and 5G. This high fuel prices further aggregate to elevate the total ownership cost and have led to an epiphany of national energy security. Further, the emission from conventional fuel combustion urges a need to cogitate about the already saddled environmental concerns. Alternatively, electric vehicles are looked upon as a potential option to conventional vehicles due to no tail-pipe emissions and low operating costs. However, if a complete life cycle is considered, an intuitive assumption that electric vehicles have no emissions and costs less can be a deception. Hence, the feasibility of electric vehicles as an option for conventional vehicles needs to be contemplated in economic and environmental aspects. This article presents the comparison between battery electric vehicles and conventional vehicles by performing a life cycle analysis (economic and environmental) in the Indian context. A Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model is developed for financial analysis to depict the compatibility status of battery electric vehicles. The environmental analysis is conducted by using OpenLCA software based on ReCePi 2016 method for all the impact categories at mid-point as well as end-point levels. The results reckon electric vehicles are costlier than conventional vehicles with current statistics and policies in India. However, by implementing certain optimizing parameters in sensitivity analysis, electric vehicles are found to have cost parity and even become more economical than conventional vehicles in some cases. The outcomes from environmental analysis unveil that the GHG emissions from battery electric vehicles are less than that from conventional vehicles. Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Plants use heliostats which can track the movement of the sun for increased energy storage. Different heliostat designs already in the open literature are reviewed in this paper. 5 different heliostat designs are prepared to compare and select the most effective one. Finite element analysis (FEA) is employed using the pressure obtained through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. These systems are widely intruded on during operation through sensor attacks and their associated drawbacks. A robust technique for identifying and preventing sensor attacks in systems such as drones must be implemented in smart transportation networks. This paper proposes a novel intrusion anomaly detection approach (IADA) for MES sensors using recurrent neural networks. F1-score and One class classification (CM) anomaly detection was used to carry out performance assessment on several countermodels and classifiers. The results demonstrated that the proposed detection achieved 96% of F1-score, 99% of sensitivity, and 92% of precision in comparison to other counterparts across several drone platforms. The UC acts as an energy storage system to compensate for the slow dynamic response of the SOFC. This combination of components effectively maintains a stable output of power from the Wind system. Control systems are implemented to manage the power converters associated with the energy system to meet the expected demand. The SOFC needs to increase its power in the face of changes in the inverter power or a decrease in Wind power, and in both cases, the UC supplies energy until the SOFC reaches the desired power output level. Recharging of the UC is done using Wind power. The hybrid system is capable of providing constant power irrespective of fluctuations in wind speed. In addition to a touchscreen, a light-emitting diode lighting system (LED) with a dimmer, a Raspberry Pi 4 central processing unit (CPU), and a Raspberry Pi camera were all included into the module. A visible HSI (VIS-HSI) method was developed that could create an HSI image from any RGB image taken by the Raspberry Pi camera. A near-infrared (NIR) camera and the NIR-HSI method, which was created to determine the spectral reflectance between the wavelengths of 780 and 2500 nm, may be used in lieu of the Raspberry Pi camera. This milestone direction of development is an evolutional way in nuclear power plants (NPPs) development. The chromium seems to be one of the best materials for protective coating. The chromium has excellent characteristics of corrosion and oxidation resistance compared to zirconium both for the NPP normal operation temperatures and high-temperature conditions. It is very important for the nuclear safety including the resistance to beyond-design-basis and design-basis accidents at NPPs. However, recent experimental data showed that in the temperature range close to upper limit of designbasis accident (1200°C) and higher there is a considerable worsening of Zr/Cr cladding protective properties. In particular, a role of Cr-Zr interdiffusion with subsequent influence on degradation of protective properties is revealed. In this paper, the new advanced model of high-temperature oxidation of Zr/Cr cladding is developed based on simultaneous solution of oxygen and zirconium diffusion equations in different layers of the cladding. In particular, a very important role of Zr outward diffusion to the interface between chromium oxide and metallic chromium resulting to severe degradation of protective properties is discovered recently. This phenomenon is taken into account in the model. The model is implemented to newly developed numerical module. The predictions of the model are compared with some experimental results on Zr/Cr claddings high-temperature oxidation available in the literature.
