However the adoption of SOA is still at the early stage in many organizations and may not be well understood due to the absence of a methodological framework that would explain influential factors of SOA adoption in organizations. Thus, the aim of this research is to investigate the key factors influencing adoption of Service Oriented Architecture within the private sector in Malaysia and propose a model that improves the decision-making process. Using quantitative approach, the data was gathered via empirical study and analyzed using SPSS and PLS graph tools in order to analyze factor and effect size. The findings showed that not all of the factors identified by previous researchers can be accepted by private sectors in Malaysia, where only nine out of eleven have significant influence to the adoption of SOA. The results extend our knowledge of why organizations should adopt SOA and what they need in order to achieve a high degree of SOA adoption.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123821289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students that are well exposed to ICT in the early stage of their education can capitalize the knowledge to seek for more information over Internet and other interactive sources. This is not necessary the case for school in rural areas, with limited provision of ICT infrastructure and different cultural background such as indigenous schools. To understand the real situation, this study had conducted a study at indigenous primary school in Selangor, located in peninsular Malaysia. The teachers' expectation and experiences using ICT as a tool for ICT and science subject presented in this paper. At the same time this study looks into the adequacy of ICT infrastructure and the challenges in using the school facilities.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130010668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the literature, low health literacy and negative health attitude are the two main causal factors for high number of lifestyle disease. Meanwhile, mobile health or better known as mHealth is found to enhance health literacy and encourage positive health attitude. This study aims to find the relationship between health literacy, health attitude and lifestyle disease for residence in Malaysia. A total of 150 responses have been collected using a questionnaire posted via social media platforms. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between health literacy and lifestyle disease as well as health attitude and lifestyle disease. Majority of the respondents have been found to have low health literacy and negative health attitude too. A mHealth application with features of disease information, symptoms checker, calorie counter, medication information and exercise can be proposed with hope to improve health literacy and attitude of Malaysia residence. The proposed features are based on responses solicited from the questionnaire.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129477823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation shared services in organization become more crucial especially in ICT shared services. However, how to measure the successful ICT shared services is still lacking. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence success in ICT shared services and determine the level of ICT shared services implementation. The study uses a systematic literature review (SLR) to identify the factors characterizing the success of the ICT shared services model. The SLR reveals six factors which influence the success of ICT shared services in the organization. These factors are organized using multiple theories under three different perspectives: technologies, organizational and the personnel responsible for producing the ICT shared services Model.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129622808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Personalization is usually carried out using local resources that are available at one's disposal. This local resource presents a snapshot of user preference at a particular moment. It doesn't address the long term user preferences. These concerns can be addressed using resources available with the user. This paper proposes a model that taps the user browsing history with emphasis on smartphone browsing history to personalize movie recommendations. The browsing history and movie plot summaries are used to generate a similarity score. The obtained score is incorporated into a latent factor model that computes latent user and item features. This model enables prediction of user ratings under sparsity and cold-start scenarios using user browsing history and eventually fetches movies that are similar to the ones the user liked.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125083167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is focused on discussing findings and lesson learnt from the scaffolding progress monitoring case study of a LNG plant maintenance project. A novel approach by using Building Information Modelling (BIM) and image processing technologies to automatically estimate scaffolding progress through site photos is being developing. The case study by adopting the developing approach at a real LNG plant is currently carried on. The collected scaffolding photos have been used to iteratively improve the developing approach. The plan of the case execution is outlined and introduced in the paper including the development of an image recognition algorithm for scaffolding progress estimations and a Navisworks plug-in for productivity analysis in terms of cost and schedule. By going through site data collections, observations, data analysis and discussions with related contractors and the operator at site, the feasibility of the approach adoption and related implementation issues are identified. The feedback from industry partners can be summarized into five perspectives: (1) the complexity of scaffolding structure affects the performance of the proposed recognition algorithm a lot; (2) the proposed approach is considered reliable if the average accuracy of the progress estimation can be slightly higher than that of the conventional way; (3) a guideline for data collection process is necessary; (4) reduce site work and shift the work load back to the office is preferred and; (5) the proposed approach benefits implementation contractors the most. It is expected that these findings among the ongoing study can further adjust the development direction and identify following studies for the proposed approach in the future.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127644187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given that intense rivalry in the mobile telecommunication service industry, customer experience and customer satisfaction have become a vital concern for the mobile service providers. However, determinants of behavioural intention such as customer experience and customer satisfaction are overlooked in many studies. Extensive literature review indicated that the nine factors influencing behavioural intention and repurchase behaviour are: the facilitating conditions, effort expectancy, performance expectancy, social influence, customer satisfaction and customer experience. Therefore, this paper examines key antecedents effect on behavioural intention. An online survey has been conducted with 364 valid responses in Australia. The study results indicate that the customer experience has a positive influence on customer satisfaction. The results from this empirical study revealed that customer satisfaction, social influence, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions have positive direct impact on behavioural intention. This study contributes to the body of knowledge in the fields of service marketing, business, and customer relationship management. A heuristic solution method is developed to cope with the complex customer repurchase behaviour problem.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127056193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Before applying PD in primary schools for game design, there are processes that must be identified. The selection of journal articles and papers are based on rigorous systematic literature review method, with 386 papers and books on participatory design and educational game topic identified, in which 21 were deemed relevant. An analysis table was developed on these selected papers to uncover the series of process and stages applied in the studies. Our analysis reveals that while different fields applies the participatory design process; most of the research share the same theme in the process. Meta analysis technique was used to form a suitable PD process framework from the theme gathered in the analysis. The formed is called the PDEduGame Process Conceptual Framework, which will act as a guide to educational game design. We suggest that the PDEduGame to be used in the context of primary schools in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127911269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, studies on how mobile social network affects knowledge workers' attention management are lagging. In this research-in-progress, we attempt to fill the research gap by developing a research model to understand the underlying mechanism. Based on the resource allocation theory, we propose that mobile social network engagement affects focused attention, and the effect varies upon the social network content. Extending the unconscious thought theory, we propose that focused attention affects task performance, and task types moderate this relationship. A laboratory experiment will be conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. This study has both theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, this study is effective in understanding how mobile social network usage affects knowledge workers' focused attention and task performance. Practically, this study sheds light upon how to manage the use of mobile social network in the workplace.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"227 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133544289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although it is not as rigorous in western countries, BIM is starting to gain momentum in Indonesia as more projects nowadays requires BIM in their design-and-build process due to global market demands. This paper presents case study of BIM usage in two projects: new construction of BNI Tower and renovation of GBK National Stadium. We look how BIM was involved in project phases and how the BIM process, models, and team members were managed as the team worked remotely from different cities. In the end, based on these projects experiences, we discuss how the best BIM practices can be derived and applied in the future.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134488561","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
