We want to offer the participants the opportunity to present their scientific works in the following areas: Social Sciences, Economic Sciences, Legal Sciences, Humanities, Education Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Sport. This journal provides students the opportunity to create and/or to improve their abilities to write scientific papers. So each appearance (two appearances per year at which we can add supplements) contains a number of papers written by students, masters and doctoral from the faculties from the country or/and abroad. The journal promotes original studies contributing to the progress of knowledge and it is motivated by the need to address issues of theory and practice in the areas mentioned above.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125144600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study analyzes the impact of different pedagogical methods in six sections of macroeconomic principles taught during the 2011–2012 academic year. A traditional lecture/discussion control section is compared with experimental sections that used an extensive class simulation and two hybrid online sections that met only once per week during the regular semester. Students in simulation sections scored on average nearly five percent worse on the post-test, although those who participated the most did score higher. Students in the hybrid online sections scored nearly ten percent lower than students in the control section. These results indicate that instructors and administrators should be wary of unproven methods, especially online instruction.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126226583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One set of determinants may be stochastic production shocks, and in particular non-neutral shocks. To communicate this idea to undergraduate students, I present a model in which shocks to the capital stock introduce both growth and inequality. To engage students and reinforce the empirical consequences of this relationship, I employ an online simulation which implements the model. Representative simulation results are presented and discussed herein.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124275377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Outcomes of a case-study assigned in prior cohorts showed marked improvement in depth of understanding of three key economic concepts. Given the minimal time involved in equipping students with basic spatial analysis tools, the results suggest there are increasing returns to scale from employing GIS in economics education. Two specific directions for future research are recommended based on the results from the initial student experiences.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127739812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a generic term, the “impact” envisaged in this paper is noticed in the analysis of the beneficiaries’ opinions – managers, teachers, and students – about the usefulness and need of using the information technology in the education process. Probably the most significant answer obtained in this respect is the general opinion of students concerning the legitimacy of using the new technology in order to avoid socio-professional cast out. Most students consider that those who do not have access to a computer will be in a disadvantaged position later (90,4%), while only 8,7% think this issue is not important. The impact plans of the new technology on the educational process and system are countless, and determining them is a difficult and complex process. Anyway, a few incidence points have been found during the evaluation and they concern aspects of institutional development of schools, some implications for the professional training of teachers, as well as perceptions of beneficiaries regarding the effects of TIC (Information and Communication Technology) on students’ proficiency and the development of digital skills.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121245810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tata’s Nano will go up as another example in this inspiring history. While some argue that the recession is a bad time to launch new products, a body of research shows that new products are the least resistant to recessions. Indeed, the Nano has the potential of flourishing despite the recession, becasue of its extraordinary low price. It’s a radical innovation precisely because it is a poor man’s car.","PeriodicalId":383397,"journal":{"name":"Innovation Educator: Courses","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115232265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
