The system can detect up to 16/24/32 fuses of 12v, 24v, 60v, 110v DC & AC. Traditional system used digital circuits to achieve the monitoring & changeover. Later system which incorporated microprocessor or micro controllers also employed the same for monitoring & changeover thus providing limited connectivity information such as a single potential free contact for an entire unit of 16 to 32 fuses. However, the proposed system incorporates a unique digital bus to propagate individual fuse status from each motherboard of 4 fuses in a unit of 16 to 32 fuses to the main/master unit controller which in turn provide the detailed status of main as well as standby fuses numbering from 16 to 32 fuses on a two wire RS485 bus with the hardware serial number or machine address of the system. Up to 255 units of fuse auto-changer system can be connected to a single RS485bus thus the proposed system provides a unique method of monitoring up to 32X2X255 fuses on a single RS485 bus.","PeriodicalId":383195,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd Technology Innovation Management and Engineering Science International Conference (TIMES-iCON)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131233710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is still a challenging task to obtain effective features for detecting violence in CCTV videos due to the visual quality of the video data. In this work, we propose a novel representation learning approach to improve the detection rate of violent behaviors in videos. Our proposed approach consists of two parts. In the first part, we leverage features extracted from image-based deep convolution neural network to describe spatial information in a video frame. We also introduce a new kind of image features, named multiscale convolutional features, to handle variations in the video data. In the second part, a bidirectional long-short term memory (LSTM) is applied to learn a video-level classifier from both violent/non-violent video sequences. Experimental results on three challenging datasets demonstrate that accuracy improvements are achieved by the proposed detection method compared with the previous methods.","PeriodicalId":383195,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd Technology Innovation Management and Engineering Science International Conference (TIMES-iCON)","volume":"60 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132545983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system was developed by the internal team instead of outsourcing. An action research method was employed in order to examine how requirements should be handled; and implement the effective ways to carry out the elicitation process. The system development was divided into 9 phases starting from student activity system. During the elicitation process, four main problems were discovered: 1) users tried to avoid the interviews or reluctant to state their requirements; 2) users did not know how computers would change their work; 3) users asked for changes even after system was developed; 4) technology change was not taken into consideration. From these problems, some solving methods were applied during the elicitation process: 1) arranged study visits to obtain new ideas of software solution; 2) created prototypes to compare with users' requirements and experiences; 3) considered an issue of technology change to find possible applications of current technologies.","PeriodicalId":383195,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd Technology Innovation Management and Engineering Science International Conference (TIMES-iCON)","volume":"39 12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129075439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this approach ignores typically many criteria that can be affecting the suitable welding process selection. Therefore, knowledge automation through knowledge-based systems will significantly improve the decision-making process. The purpose of this research propose integrated data envelopment analysis (DEA) and technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) approach for investigating the best welding process for storage tank in the food and beverage industry. The proposed approach compares each decision-making units (DMUs) with two virtual DMUs called ideal DMU (IDMU) and anti-ideal DMU (ADMU). Furthermore, the final result is determined by the relative closeness (RC) index. The proposed approach is used to give a ranking for six welding processes that are commonly used in the storage tank manufacturing.","PeriodicalId":383195,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd Technology Innovation Management and Engineering Science International Conference (TIMES-iCON)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121558600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
