In this paper, aided by some programmatic texts written by party members, it is intended to question this conception. For this, rather than seeking the supreme ideological affiliation of the cooperative members, the emphasis is placed on the discussions and disagreements that arose between the ideas of the members of the political organization. Hand in hand with this approach, it is possible to shed light on the split suffered by the party during the presidential conjuncture of 1924.","PeriodicalId":38223,"journal":{"name":"Signos Historicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45488431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

His stay in Mexico, plagued with incon-veniences, allowed him to create a professional research model of folk music for the recently founded Section of Musical Research of the National Institute of Fine Arts (inba, by its acronym in Spanish), as a result of his earlier work in Barcelona for the project l’Obra del Cançoner Popular de Catalunya . Based on his papers housed by the archives of National Center for Research, Documentation and Dissemina-tion of Music (cenidim, for its Spanish acronym) and other sources, this paper presents his experiences in Mexico, which given the circumstances proved rather frustrating. Samper has been largely ignored both in musicology at large and in the literature on the Spanish exile in Mexico.","PeriodicalId":38223,"journal":{"name":"Signos Historicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44467160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Michoacán, 1876-1914","authors":"Leticia Mendoza García","doi":"10.24275/prqq5055","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24275/prqq5055","url":null,"abstract":": The objective of this paper is to expose the participation of the Presbyterian liberals from Zitácuaro, Michoacán, in political affairs, which was felt from the beginning of the Porfiriato, continuing their activism during the Maderista government, and later during the Carrancista revolution. Through a socio-political analysis, the position of this group of Presbyterian liberals will be analyzed face of state and federal reelections; his opinion on the policy of conciliation between the State and the Catholic Church; his foray into the armed struggle; and finally, its political rearrangement at the local level before the triumph of constitutionalism. It is shown with the above that they were declared porfiristas and that their incursion into the revolution alongside the constitutionalists, corresponded to the need to adapt to the new political circumstances. Resumen: El objetivo de este artículo es exponer la participación de los liberales presbiterianos de Zitácuaro, Michoacán, en los asuntos políticos, la cual se aprecia desde el inicio del Porfiriato, continúa durante el gobierno maderista y se extiende hasta la revolución carrancista. A través de un análisis sociopolítico, se muestra la postura de este grupo de liberales presbiterianos ante las reelecciones estatales y federales; su opinión en torno a la política de conciliación entre el Estado y la Iglesia; su incursión en la lucha armada, y, finalmente, su reacomodo político a nivel local ante el triunfo del constitucionalismo. Se demuestra con lo anterior que fueron declarados porfiristas y que su incursión en la Revolución, al lado de los constitucionalistas, correspondió a la necesidad de adaptarse a las nuevas circunstancias políticas.","PeriodicalId":38223,"journal":{"name":"Signos Historicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45662506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research shows that this conspiracy theory reflects the historical transformation the Mexican Catholic Church went through between the Cristero Wars and the Second Vatican Council. This conspiracy theory was possi-ble due to the adaptation of the European intransigence discourse to the Mexican circumstance. Such discourse was redefined by the Mexican Catholic belligerency. The modus vivendi established afterwards did not put an end to the belligerency. The conspiracy theory reflects that Mexican Catholicism kept being politicized. Resumen: Este artículo estudia las condiciones de posibilidad y el significado histórico de una teoría de conspiración anticomunista publicada en 1950 por el jesuita mexicano Joaquín Cardoso, en un impreso titulado El comunismo y la conspiración contra el orden cristiano . Esta investigación demuestra que esa teoría de conspiración es representativa de la transformación histórica por la que pasaba la Iglesia católica en México entre la guerra cristera y el Concilio Vaticano II. Esta teoría fue posible porque el modelo europeo de la intransigencia católica se adaptó a la circunstancia mexicana. El discurso de la intransigencia europea se redefinió a la luz de la beligerancia católica. El posterior modus vivendi no eliminó esta beligerancia. La teoría de conspiración prueba que el catolicismo mexicano siguió politizándose.","PeriodicalId":38223,"journal":{"name":"Signos Historicos","volume":"88 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68882926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
