With fierce competition under the epidemic, the American multinational fast-food company McDonald's must attract the attention and satisfaction of a wide range of customers through consumer stimulation. Since high substitution products make the industry highly competitive, high frequency differentiation strategy is needed to meet the freshness of consumers. McDonald's, one of the world's most well-known fast-food brands, has also made enormous changes in the process of entering China. Because local culture and in-depth communication are the embodiment of brand value and the integration of localization, this paper analyzes McDonald's cultural strategies in four areas: product, marketing, people management and production, and provides some suggestions for sustainable development. Cultural exchange is used and respected in all these important aspects, which is a big reason for shaping the uniqueness of different regional brands. Overall, McDonald's has done a successful job in product development and localization in China, which is an exemplary case among fast food brands and can bring many suggestions and implications to other familiar brands.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131440655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From 1980s to 1990s, liberalization, marketization, globalization and Neoliberalism had become the world main trends of economic development. During this period, the evolution of the social systems of the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries, the rapid rise of the four Asian tigers and Chinese achievement in reform and opening up made Indian government realized that under such circumstances, reform is particularly important. This paper discussed what process and impact (pros and cons) included in Rao’s reform by using the approach of literature reading. The paper got a significant conclusion that Rao’s new policies provided an effective path for Indian development, broke the traditional closed economic model by changing the structure of enterprise ownership and other scientific approaches. Finally, helped India open the door of Neoliberalism. This study provided experience for developing countries to choose policies and formulate targets.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"6 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114011871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to cope with the epidemic and the changing international situation and to leave from economic difficulties, the Modi government has adopted a series of neomercantilism policies to meet the uncertain challenges. This paper analyzes the implementation of Indian policy from the manufacturing, international trade, and consumption industry. Because the epidemic factors will be long-term and policies are effective only within a period, neomercantilist policies are only viewed as a phased tool. They cannot provide long-term support for economic development. Coupled with structural contradictions in the Indian economy, the effect of Indian policies is not good. The long-term development of the Indian economy still needs to be worked hard to solve the economy's fundamental problems and realize industrial transformation and upgrading.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115534858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, after the ruling was issued, China viewed it as a “scrap of paper,” and the Philippines had no intention of restraining China through the ruling. International law is considered a “paper tiger” due to the lack of mandatory enforcement, and international regimes were once seen as dysfunctional and chaotic systems. Then both China and the Philippines put bilateral relations back on track through economic diplomacy and negotiations. It is clear that sovereignty is at the core of maintaining international law and regimes, but it does not mean that states can adopt the principle of “self-help”. How can international regimes be reshaped to be flexible and resilient, and how can a virtuous model of balances between state power and international regimes be achieved in future international conflict resolution? To answer these questions, this study will explore the possibility of transforming and reshaping international regimes, using neoliberal institutionalism as a logical starting point and complex interdependence theory as a model framework. International regimes are not a means for the weaker states to achieve their claims; achieving a win-win situation in economic and power reciprocity is the most direct way to resolve disputes over the South China Sea, and the resilience of international regimes is reflected by expanding from bilateral to multilateral models of shared governance in the South China Sea through alliance politics and economic diplomacy.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131034608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Economic policy during the Great Recession and COVID-19 had the impact of stabilizing the economy and saving the unemployment rate. It is of great significance to study the enormous positive and negative effects of these policies on the U.S. and global economies at that time and later. This paper analyzes and contrasts these effects with the support of literature and data. The Fed first changed its stance on rate hikes to cushion economic pressures, and then turned to rate cuts because of escalating trade frictions to sound recession alarms in the market. The spillover effect of U.S. macroeconomic policy adjustment is comprehensive. Affected by the financial hegemony of the United States, not only emerging economies are unable to resist the impact, developed countries are also difficult to escape the 'tail effect'. At present, many countries have government banks in order to avoid devaluation of their currencies, to prevent capital outflows, had to follow the Federal Reserve to make the decision to raise interest rates. The policies aimed at easing have all had a different impact on the U.S. economy and society.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128778181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extensive studies have focused on the newly industrialized countries such as Japan and Singapore. The examination and critique on how the emerging new economies like Indonesia and Malaysia adapt to and resist the wave of globalization to achieve its political and economic autonomy remain a compelling topic of discussion, which can be further scrutinized through the lens of leadership roles and impacts. This paper will focus on the time of first tenure of Malaysia’s Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamod. Specifically, the paper will answer the question that how the national leadership and its political stance and economic policies play a role in realizing the rapid growth and modernization while revitalizing the economy amidst the contagion of financial crisis. By conducting a chronological analysis on legal documentations on policies implemented through end of 1970s to 2000s and probing onto the official statistics reflective of Malaysia’s economy’s performance, the paper concludes that an effective national leadership and its affiliated political and socio-economic policies play instrumental roles in helping Malaysia achieve a rapid economic growth and modernization since 1980s, while sustaining the economy’s vitality through the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127451845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various product merchants are also aiming at this trend, using the influence of netizens and bloggers to put more of their own product promotion on such platforms. Female college students, as a kind of customer group with strong willingness to consume and more exposure to new media platforms, have naturally become the target customers of many product merchants. The purpose of this study is to analyze the consumption tendency of female college students towards the existing mainstream new media platforms, and provide some reference and ideas for customers, product merchants, and new media platform operators. This study collected the familiarity, acceptance and consumption frequency of 150 female college students on five types of new media platforms’ common marketing modes by means of questionnaires. After analyzing their responses, it is concluded that female college students are more familiar with the product marketing forms placed by well-known and female-targeted new media platforms and are more likely to accept more subtle marketing strategies with a smaller ratio of advertisements to the content itself, and to make multiple purchases under the marketing platforms and marketing styles that have easier and complete shopping channels and more emotional appeal.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132628361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in order to obtain greater benefits in the Chinese market, some multinational corporations choose to seek illegitimate commercial interests through bribery. The increasing corruption cases of transnational corporations have bad influences on China's economic development, business environment and international reputation. However, there are still many deficiencies in China's legal system to regulate the corruption of transnational corporations. This paper will study the legislation on transnational corporations’ corruption in China, and put forward more effective suggestions for China to regulate the corruption of transnational corporations in legislation. This paper will analyze the current anti-corruption legal system against transnational corporations in China and other countries, and use the method of comparison and case study to find deficiencies in Chinese laws.
