Although there are assessments that determine a variety of behavioral influences, including a cultural quotient (CQ) or an emotional intelligence quotient (EQ), there are few tools that can determine the impact of perception to provide a perception quotient (PQ). If perception can be defined as a way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something, it is critical for organizations to recognize the impact perception has on employees’ ability to communicate effectively. A new tool, the Perception Power index (PPI), was created to assess the factors that impact perception in working adults, including evaluation, prediction, interpretation, and correlation. The validity of the PPI was evaluated using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. The factor analysis with Varimax Rotation indicated a Cronbach α of 0.89 for evaluation, 0.87 for prediction, 0.81 for interpretation, and 0.75 for correlation. Although other tools measure forms of perception, there are no tools that measure these four factors that impact the perception process. The results indicate that the PPI is a valid tool.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83538955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research indicates the positive impact that ethical training has on a variety of organizational outcomes. However, in practice, ethics training efforts are often met with resistance and skepticism by employees. This cynicism may be merited and perceived failures in ethics training could be in part a function of the type of ethics training intervention they receive. This study examines the extent to which different types of training interventions impact participants’ moral judgment. Evidence suggests that experiential learning is superior to lecture, immersion, behavioral modeling, and role-play. This research contributes to the training and pedagogical literature. It provides evidence suggesting how higher education and industry may better equip students and employees for the ethical challenges they face in today’s workplace.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78490785","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A primary survey was conducted to study an individual’s role in prevention and control of antibiotic resistance. It was found that antibiotics are being irrationally used and the efficacy of antibiotics, as previously transforming the medical sciences and saving lives of many is in danger due to the quick emergence of bacterial resistance. Extensive efforts are therefore required to manage crisis by implementing new policies and renewing research efforts. Additionally, there exists a dire need to educate patients and public regarding antibiotic resistance crisis.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85813164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Media reports of late have uncovered that Black people of all ages and genders have faced the difficult choice of giving in to discrimination of their natural hair in school and at sporting events. The CROWN Act of 2020 was introduced as a response and a way forward in overcoming this burden. Furthermore, this legislation is an effort to educate the general public about the natural hair styles that are often seen as unkempt but are a proud aspect of Black culture. This paper will give the author’s perspective of the significance of this legislation and personal experiences that have formed these views.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83919667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is the sector that contributes the most to job creation as well as to export. There are two main categories of factories: free zone companies that are moving towards export and small and medium-sized units who produce for local consumption. The lack of technical competence of the majority of the employees constitutes a common block for the two factories category. The failure is related to the low employee’s education level. This gap questions the competitiveness of textile enterprises in Madagascar at national and global level. Moreover, quality is one of the critical success factors that must be mastered by textile companies to be able to dominate the world of competition. This paper suggests a managerial strategy, the Knowledge management, as lever of quality production improvement. It has as objective the capitalization, enhancement and improvement of the company's knowledge while placing at the center the human resources. These are the sources of knowledge and the challenge is to formalize and share expert is know-how. Nonaka’s model has been exploited to achieve knowledge transfer. MASK method is used to rationalize Nonaka's knowledge management cycle. It is recommended that textile companies in Madagascar integrate knowledge management into their management system in order to optimize production quality, productivity and stimulate innovation.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76471403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For a competitive advantage, marketing plays an important role. Environment changes needs to be monitored and necessary changes are to be made in an organization. An efficient knowledge management system is required to acquire, store and retrieve the knowledge when needed (Moradi et al., 2013). Being environment friendly, these activities are best suited to the state as they are more labour intensive and less capital intensive in nature, thus having scope for employment generation at a large scale. The Kashmir handicraft products have earned worldwide fame for their attractive designs, functional utility and high quality craftsmanship. However this sector has suffered a lot due to unorganized market Lack of skilled workers new technology and absence of brand image. So in order to improve the production and branding of handicraft Geographical Indication is needed. Geographical Indication (GI) identifies a good/product as originating in a particular region, where a particular quality of the good is attributable to its place of origin. GI will help Jammu and Kashmir producers differentiate the uniqueness of the products from similar competing products, establish brand and goodwill of local products, fetch premium price for such products, and increase sales/export by protecting reputation of the products. The essence of GIs is that specific geographic locations yield product qualities that cannot be replicated elsewhere. GI-registered product is produced using the GI technology. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the status of the geographical indication in the state of Jammu and Kashmir as well as its prospect. The state has so far brought six of its ethnic and region specific products under geographical indication. All of these products belong to only one product category i.e. Handicrafts. The state has huge panorama of using geographical indication for its unique and famous ethnic and region specific products. However, lack of knowledge about intellectual property rights is not giving proper value and recognition to the geographical indication in the state.","PeriodicalId":37927,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Business Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75830575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
