Therefore, education system must be\u0000embedded with essential 21st century skills to confront the life challenges\u0000in this competitive 21st century. The study delimited to three skills out of\u0000most highlighted fifteen components of 21st century skills. These three\u0000essential abilities were Critical and Logical Thinking Skill, Digital\u0000Literacy Skills and 3Rs Skills. Population of the study consisted of 151\u0000F.G. secondary schools of Islamabad. The number of sampled science\u0000students was 100. The number of sampled arts students was 100.\u0000Therefore, 200 sample of students was taken for data collection through\u0000stratified random sampling. The survey approach using scales to\u0000measure the perceived level of critical thinking skill, digital literacy skill\u0000and 3Rs skill was employed in the study design. Hypotheses were tested\u0000by taking alpha 0.05, as level of significance. Data was analyzed using ttest. The findings revealed that there was no significant difference in the\u0000overall perceived level of 21st century skills among secondary schools\u0000students when compared according to their academic stream. It was also\u0000found that science group students were higher on digital literacy,\u0000whereas students showed non-significant difference was found in the\u0000perceived level of critical thinking. It is concluded that the significant\u0000difference was found with respect to digital literacy skill.

To examine the\u0000linguistic nature of these claims, mix methodology was used by utilizing the\u0000list of claim markers proposed under metadiscourse theory. The study found\u0000that the ratio between Boosters and Hedges employed by the authors of\u0000Islamic Studies is around 2:1 which is not aligned with international\u0000practice i.e. 3:1. The most noticeable academic writing expressions used for\u0000making stronger claims are modal verbs including should and must which is\u0000not a conventional practice in any discipline at the international level.\u0000Similarly, the authors preferred modal verbs including would, may, could\u0000and might in order to make their claims softer which in some cases is likely\u0000to restrict the meanings to be understood by the readers. For the present study, a snowball\u0000sampling technique has been used to select the respondents because it was\u0000challenging to identify irregular emigrants due to their hidden nature. In the\u0000first phase of the data collection, some male family members of the emigrants\u0000were contacted working in a public sector organization in district Gujrat with\u0000the principal researcher.
