To realize userspsila complex requirements, services with different functions, but sharing common features, should be selected quickly from a huge number of services on internet to be collaborated. Researches on the discovery of services have put the emphasis on the finding out of services with similar functions, which is unable to accomplish the purpose of collaboration. We propose a discovery method for the collaboration based on Collaborated Semantic Link Network. C-SLN is constructed using services represented by E-FCMs and the similar and associated relations between E-FCMs as well. Through the experiments on a set of public web services, our approach shows that it can help to improve the efficiency of the discovery of services in favor of the collaboration.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131754134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The SPL is equipped with semantic service to decouple the static binding relation between business process and its participants and it enables describing process activity implementations semantically which increases the flexibility of business processes. The concept of rule is also introduced in SPL to separate business decision from business logic to satisfy varying user requirements in evolving environment. The proposed SPLDE framework is used to design and execute business process based on semantic Web services with SPL language, which tries to offer an effective systematic solution for development and execution of service-oriented software system.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123595899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the complexity of NS, requirements engineering is now emerging as a critical issue in it. In the user-driven and networked-resources oriented environment, how to capture highly variable non-functional requirements become more and more important. In this paper, a context awareness non-functional requirements metamodel based on ontology is proposed, which introduces knowledge and rules provided by domain ontology to induce non-functional requirements in specified domains. So it can be used to establish meaningful semantic relationship between non-functional and context information, help users to complete their non-functional requirements to some degree, and finally support automatic detection of software requirements.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116974225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this, the semantic Web service matchmaking framework is one of the absolutely necessary components of service oriented architecture. This paper proposes a matchmaking framework based on Description Logic for semantic Web service described by RDF4S model, a novel semantic Web service description which consists of three layers: service oriented knowledge base, semantic description model and semantic description language. We describe the service description and service query conditions by using the ontologies that are included in service oriented knowledge base. The service resource specification is described according to Description Logics syntax and a Description Logic reasoner is used to compare service descriptions. By representing the semantics of service descriptions, the matchmaker enables the behavior of an intelligent agent to approach more closely that of a human user trying to locate suitable Web service resources.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131136156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the ever increasing multimedia resources and the rapid progress of cross-media technology, the annotation between different modalities of media information is becoming possible. This paper presents a study of a cross-media annotation technology. In this technology, some multimedia examples expressed by structured information segments are submitted to a cross-media meta-search engine, to which the results in return, as the examples of other multimedia, are submitted again. The correlation between those examples and results is calculated per-time so that a cross-media semantic network is constructed by the iterative process. Thus the content of a Web page could be explained by different audio-visual perceptive cross-media information using the semantic network. This technology is proved to be feasible and effectual in the archetype system CMA (Cross Media Annotation).","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126517871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Semantic Web-based information processing framework is constructed, so that we can process information based on agent, effectively translate information superiority into knowledge superiority and finally build the decision superiority. At the same time, this paper also propose an ontology-based Web Service description model to describe the Web Services in multi-directions, on the basis of which agent can accurately and correctly comprehend the function and process of Web Services. Most template detection methods utilize content repetition as a hint to detect template blocks that lots of Web pages are required as input. So they usually process Web pages in batches that a newly crawled page can not be processed until enough pages are collected. This consumes large storage consumption to cache Web pages and results in a huge delay in data refreshing. In this paper, we present an incremental framework to detect templates in which a page is processed as soon as it has been crawled. Under this framework, we donpsilat need to cache any Web page. Experiments show that our framework consumes less than 7% storage than traditional methods. And also the delay of data refreshing induced by the batch process is completely eliminated.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123523624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The value of measure is computed from the joint histogram obtained from the intensities of all pixel pairs in the overlapping area of two images and if two images are geometrically aligned, it is probably assumed to have a maximum value. By employing the PML function, we can assign much more weights on transition probabilities which occur in an important overlapping range. Therefore, the proposed registration method will provide a more accurate registration while being more robust to the various degradation environments. The accuracy and robustness of the proposed registration method as well as two other methods such as the mutual information (MI) technique or the maximum likelihood (ML) method are tested on real images. The experimental results show that our approach is more optimal registration method than other methods.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117134019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, adjusting business vision to new market conditions leads to high volatility in requirements of Web applications. Thus, the organizations require Web systems to update and/or grow at a rate of business requirements change. To address the issue, we propose a MDA-based approach to workflow-oriented Web application development. It focuses on modeling and analysis of business requirements in CIM level and model transformation from business process to BPEL in PIM level through a well-defined mapping. To assist the developers, we also provide a support tool suite for practical Web projects.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121495766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
