So, a full automatic fault diagnosis approach for communication links is proposed as follows. If the path information that which node are available or unavailable to communicate with from the node(s) taking charge of network management has both been known, a fault diagnosis model is developed in combination with probability computation, by which the node(s) in charge of network management can implement full automatically the real-time identification of the range where the link failures happen most probably. Then, the link failures can be positioned accurately via quick tests. Based on this approach, a hierarchy network management architecture is designed to deal with the fault diagnosis for a heterogeneous network environment. The simulation results showed that this approach is real-time, highly accurate and full automatic with no or few extra bandwidth occupied.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Aiming at solving the existing problems in representation of user profile includes incapability of effectively representing userpsilas recent interest, lack in dynamically effectively updating. This paper presents a new method of representation of user profile. By computing the interest degree with association degree between topics, updating of interest degree is preformed. By introducing memory model, it can predict which Web pages are still concerned by the user. By classifying the operations on the presented user profile, the construction and evolution can be done. In case study a userpsilas browsing activities is traced and corresponding user profile is built and evolves, thus to prove the feasibility of this method.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125734844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this algorithm, we uniformly integrate various kinds of information in the corpus. At first, we train a salience model of sentence global features based on Naive Bayes Model. Secondly, we generate a relevance model for each corpus utilizing the query of it. Then, we compute the personalized prior probability for each sentence in the corpus utilizing the salience model and the relevance model both. With the help of personalized prior probability, a Personalized PageRank ranking process is performed depending on the relationships among all sentences in the corpus. Additionally, the redundancy penalty is imposed on each sentence. The summary is produced by choosing the sentences with both high query-focused information richness and high information novelty. Experiments on DUC2007 are performed and the ROUGE evaluation results show that PPRSum ranks between the 1st and the 2nd systems on DUC2007 main task.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127821546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An automatic acquisition method for SEs based on statistical decomposition was proposed in this paper. Firstly, .analogical decomposition was applied to decompose abandonable SE and two conditions are found to assure the correctness of decomposition. Secondly, three statistics were designed, namely parameter index, translation index and language model index, to measure the rationality of analogical decomposition. Finally, multi-attribute decision making values for the above three statistics were prioritized to choose the best decomposition. Abandonable SE could be decomposed iteratively thereafter. Experimental results show that the accuracy has reached around 60%.","PeriodicalId":378383,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Workshop on Semantic Computing and Systems","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130896209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

P2P networks are vulnerable to attacks by malicious peers that have an incentive to spread viruses, in authentic data, or provide poor quality services.
