The research is based on historical-genetic and statistical methods. It is concluded that Vyaznikovtsy did not belong to the leading sources of the Ekaterinburg merchant class of the 19th — early 20th centuries, as their specific weight rarely exceeded 10 %. Much attention is paid to the study of areas of entrepreneurial activity practiced by the them. It is concluded that Vyaznikovtsy preferred trade, selling groceries, haberdashery and manufactory goods, and had relatively little interest in production activities. The article notes that some of them were interested in gold mining and some industries. They mostly founded small enterprises, but in some cases, there were large enterprises well equipped technically. This was especially the case in the flour-milling industry. The article pays attention to the participation of Vyaznikovtsy in the social life of Ekaterinburg, which largely consisted in close cooperation with the local government, as well as in a variety of charitable activities.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135701151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan has a rich past and is closely connected with the brightest and stormy pages of the history of the country as a whole. The article, using the example of the description of the route along Gogol Street, attempts to identify the key points that need to be taken into account when working on the routes of a literary tour of the city of Ufa. In this case, we are talking about pre-revolutionary Ufa, Bashkir and Russian culture. The study of the urban landscape shows the prospects of thematic walking routes. The systematization of the material demonstrates the insignificant involvement of the authorities in the process of perpetuating the cultural heritage of the city, the scattering of memorable places associated with the names of famous writers, which causes difficulties in their visual demonstration. The authors of the article come to the conclusion that the chosen direction is promising and actively developing, it contributes to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the city of Ufa.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69596990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the objects of leisure policy, the work with which close attention was paid, it is possible to point out female workers. This led both to the imposition and artificial integration of a number of leisure practices into their lives, and to the real consideration of requests. The model of the new Soviet woman being created was in many ways similar to what could be observed in Western countries — athletic, strong, educated, energetic and far from prejudice. There were similar tendencies towards the masculinization of leisure, a clear evidence of which was the spread of physical culture and sports, including their paramilitary forms. The main difference was the active limitation of the women’s freedom degree, which did not allow them to realize their right to leisure. Paternalism in leisure policy led to the struggle with those types of it that were considered “bourgeois” or decadent, although they were an integral and very important component of female independence. It is also need to mention the modest financial capabilities of most women and the limitations of the leisure industry, when the charming aesthetics of wealth and pleasure were forced to remain only a picture from a foreign film.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69597652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The initial topology of the place created as an industrial settlement, in different technological patterns and historical circumstances, sets the main vector of the city development in the meridional direction. During periods of decline or stabilization of industrial activity, when non-industrial tasks come to the fore in the development of Ekaterinburg, the “west–east” axis becomes dominant. Based on data on architectural and planning solutions common to them, the northern territories of Ekaterinburg are presented as a single whole, united by general design principles and correlating with the complex of industrial enterprises in the southern part. Since the historical landscape and planning structure of Ekaterinburg remain underestimated as a specific unique resource for the future development of the metropolis, in order to make adequate decisions that preserve the identity of Ekaterinburg, foster its intergenerational continuity, realize the diversity and significance of the historical and cultural heritage created here for Russian and world history, the article proposes to consider the city as a whole in its historical dynamics and link specific innovations with its original topology.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135701163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One or two rooms dwellings were studied here, in which flat-bottomed dishes, stone tools and food residues were found. The features of the Mulymya cultural type sites are also complemented by exploration sources with typologically similar ceramics and stone products. The sites of this cultural type make up 10 % of the number of the known Neolithic sites in the Konda River basin. The preliminary results of the study were based on the results of 2019. The excavation of the eastern part of the site was completed in 2020, and 14C dating was obtained at the same time. The article aims at fully describing the excavation materials: the typology of structures, ceramic complex and stone inventory, justification of the chronological position. Special attention is paid to the problem of the correlation of the definitions “Mulymya cultural type of sites” and “Satygino type of pottery”. A comprehensive study of the materials suggests the presence of western and/or southern vectors of cultural contacts of the Konda population in the second half — end of the 7th millennium BC. The markers of these ties in the Late Mesolithic — Early Neolithic are probably the types of buildings (two-chamber semi-dugouts) and stone tools (retouched arrowheads on plates).","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135701169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It considers the conflict between Armenian Gregorian and Catholic communities in the town of Astrakhan, 1755–1760. The author traces the objective prerequisites of the conflict (confessional hostility, economic contradictions, and the desire of the community leaders to take a prominent place in relation to the Russian authorities in the center and in the region). Further, the study indicates the areas in which this conflict manifested itself most often — family relations, the choice of confession of children born in mixed marriages, inheritance of property. Finally, the typological nature of such conflicts is revealed, precisely their conditionality by ambiguous, tangled inter-confessional relations in the urban surrounding. The author concludes that the analyzed conflict was a particular case of urban social competition in the light of the complication of religious life noted in Astrakhan.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135701174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The personnel composition of the staff and chief officer ranks of the field regiments of the Siberian Division is considered according to the data for 1798–1799. The parameters such as the age and social origin of officers, the time of their military service and combat experience, disciplinary indicators are analyzed. As a result of the research, it was found that not all of Paul I’s innovations were put into practice in the field units of the Russian army stationed in Siberia by the end of the 18th century. In particular, the Russian nobles made up a significant but not dominant group among the officers, and most of them belonged to small-scale or had no serfs at all. The group of hereditary military, persons of non-noble origin, staff and chief officers’ children, was increased. Neither the widespread idea of the predominance of foreigners in command positions during the reign of Paul I, nor the popular thesis about the massive spread of severe disciplinary punishments in the Russian army, could be confirmed. In addition, the reforms resulted in decreasing to a certain extent the combat capability of these units, as evidenced by the significant rejuvenation of the personnel of their officer corps and the obvious lack of experience of participation in hostilities among most officers.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69596624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The “Artyn” population’s burial practice is reflected in the materials from Protoka, Vengerovo-2A, Ust-Tatrtas-2, Avtodrom-1 cemeteries. The specifics of the Avtodrom-1 burial construction correlate with the other cemeteries of the series, they all have a common burial pit, storied arrangement of remains in the pit, covering with small soil mound, surrounded with an unclosed ditch. Morphologically, the burial constructions are similar to the dwellings with ditches known from the Late Neolithic materials in the Middle Irtysh River (the Artyn culture) and Surgut Ob River region (the Bystrino culture). The specifics of the Avtodrom-1 burial constructions and other cemeteries of this typological group allow suggesting the following order of rituals: creation of the main bowl-shaped pit and pitches around it; erection of a burial construction on the ground with a thick sod-soil covering; burials with partial covering of the pit with soil at each level, following crash of the ground construction which made a small hill. Historically, this is one of the most ancient manifestations of kurgan burial tradition with semantical symmetry — dwelling-burial, with sacral burial surface emphasized in relief. This marks the Artyn culture cemeteries apart the necropolis of other Neolithic cultures of Southern Siberia with their in-soil mostly individual inhumations. Theoretically, this tradition is connected with clan groups who buried in individual tombs.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69597343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors divide the entire history of post-Soviet science into several periods. The first period, the most dramatic one, from the early 1990s to the early 2000s, was due to adaptation to the market under the conditions of the “shock therapy” of science. The second period lasts from the beginning of the 2000s to 2013, its main content was stabilization associated with the formation of new mechanisms and principles for the implementation of scientific activities, including planning, financing and reporting. Finally, the third period, which began in 2013, is associated with a radical reform of the academic sector of science, which involved depriving the Academy of Sciences of the status of the country’s main “scientific headquarters” and transferring the most important powers to manage fundamental research into the hands of state bodies: first, Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations, and since 2018 — the Ministry of science. There were two basic models of functioning of the academic institute of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences: “federal” and “unitary”, which did not exclude the presence of intermediate options. There was also a stratification of the previously fairly homogeneous scientific community, due to the degree of adaptation to the changed conditions of life and activity, the factors of which are involvement in the processes of commercialization of science, the ability to find additional funding (grants, economic agreements), and the demand for scientific topics in the market of scientific products.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69597549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model region is far northeastern Europe (The Republic of Komi, Nenets autonomous area and eastern part of the Archangelsk region). The reference data are informative assemblages of 3rd millenium BC with the evidences of the copper use and its processing. According to modern concepts, they are related to the “Chirkovo-Seimino” cultural type and the Garino (Choinovty) culture. For comparison, regional data submitted to the L’yalovo and Chuzhyayol’ traditions were chosen. The research is based on the concept of technological criteria of archaeological periodization and definition of the Eneolithic as a period of the use of stone tools and copper artefacts made by forging or melting. The methodical basis of studying flint knapping is E. Yu. Girya’s works. The region specifics are the presence of population of the Russian Plain, Urals and Western Siberia cultures, and this fact allows comparing two ways of variability of flint industries during the distribution of the early metal. The bearers of the “Chirkovo-Seimino” cultural type inherit and keep the L’yalovo culture tradition of flint knapping of the Neolithic. It is characterized by manufacture and use of tanged arrowheads. In the Urals, the Garino culture population spread technology of bifacial secondary thinning for making arrowheads and figurines, the amount of them exceeds domestic consumption. The artefacts are given esthetic, symbolic and maybe game functions. In the region under study such cardinal changes are related to the migration of new populations, probably provoked by the challenges of the Eneolithic.","PeriodicalId":37813,"journal":{"name":"Ural''skij Istoriceskij Vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69597704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
