Abstract
The article considers the problems associated with the perpetuation of monuments of the history of culture of the city of Ufa, one of the ways of which is organizing and conducting literary excursions. The capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan has a rich past and is closely connected with the brightest and stormy pages of the history of the country as a whole. The article, using the example of the description of the route along Gogol Street, attempts to identify the key points that need to be taken into account when working on the routes of a literary tour of the city of Ufa. In this case, we are talking about pre-revolutionary Ufa, Bashkir and Russian culture. The study of the urban landscape shows the prospects of thematic walking routes. The systematization of the material demonstrates the insignificant involvement of the authorities in the process of perpetuating the cultural heritage of the city, the scattering of memorable places associated with the names of famous writers, which causes difficulties in their visual demonstration. The authors of the article come to the conclusion that the chosen direction is promising and actively developing, it contributes to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the city of Ufa.

The Institute of History and Archaeology of the Ural Branch of RAS introduces the “Ural Historical Journal” — a quarterly magazine. Every issue contains publications on the central conceptual topic (e.g. “literary tradition”, “phenomenon of colonization”, “concept of Eurasianism”), a specific historical or regional topic, a discussion forum, information about academic publications, conferences and field research, jubilees and other important events in the life of the historians’ guild. All papers to be published in the Journal are subject to expert reviews. The editorial staff of the Journal invites research, members of academic community and educational institutions to cooperation as authors of the articles and information messages, as well as readers and subscribers to the magazine.
