The paper gives some overview on the background of traffic violations and irregular overtaking maneuvers. Driver's decisions before and during the irregular overtaking maneuvers are similar to the normal ones, except of the decision about committing the violation itself. A decision support application is recommended to reduce the number of overtaking violations and useless overtakings.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125464307","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

His approach is accepted in mathematics but officially has never reached computer sciences, informatics, especially non-traditional computer related activities. However, we have recently found that his problem solving concept fits perfectly into our typology of computer problem solving approaches. In the present paper we take one further step and provide details as to how we can measure the mathability of computer tools based on our problem solving typology.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129146488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many researches regarding imitation motion, most of them consider it from the view point of the person imitating another person's motion. The imitation motion is cooperative motion by both persons who are the person imitating and the person being imitated. It is, therefore, worth to consider the imitation motion from the view point of the person being imitated. Thus, this paper considers an imitation motion from the view point of the person being imitated under the conditions that the person being imitated can recognize own posture by own somatic sensation and can recognize motion of another person by own visual sensation. In particular, this paper tries to select the feature points of the imitation motion based on human motion and sensation. As a results of experiment, it turned out that the person tends to feel that the motion of another person was not imitation motion if a delay of the motion was increased. However, the amplitudes of the motion did not affect the impression of the person being imitated. Therefore, this paper concludes that the feature point on imitation motion is the phase difference (delay) between the motions of another person and subject.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129256359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, we focused on analyzing factors that affect task decoding using Hidden Markov Models in an experiment with different pictures and tasks. Three pictures were chosen along with four questions each for the subjects to perform several visual and cognitive tasks. Areas of interest were chosen for each picture based on the heat maps of the scanpaths from a preliminary experiment. Hidden Markov Models with discrete emissions were used for task prediction. Three variables in particular were tested - the impact of post-answer period, the impact of dwell time in Hidden Markov Models and the impact of a task being performed first in a picture. There were three sets of experiments performed in which the order of the questions was changed. Using dwell time in Hidden Markov Models showed significant improvement in success rates whereas excluding post-answer period decreased them. The analysis of the sequence of tasks of the three data sets showed that the average success rates for tasks were higher when they were seen second in the sequence than when they were seen first.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129477153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to understand the issues of communication between visually impaired user and mobile navigation application, qualitative analysis related to the structure of navigation process should be used. Therefore we propose a design of new usability evaluation tool that is based on the functional model of a general navigation system for blind. We implemented the tool and evaluated it with data from our recent experiment on mobile navigation aid. Results showed that the tool allows analysis of navigation problems and investigation of specific user behavior, specifically issues related to timing of the navigation dialog in relation to the position of visually impaired user and verification of correct execution of navigation instructions.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129234651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Whilst eye movements have long been shown to reflect the reading process, the task of predicting quantified measures of reading comprehension has been attempted with unsatisfactory results. We conducted an experiment to collect eye gaze data from participants as they read texts with differing degrees of difficulty. Participants were sourced as being either first or second English language readers. We investigated the effects that reader background and text difficulty have predicting reading comprehension. The results indicate that prediction rates are similar for first and second language readers. The best combination is where the concept level is one level higher than the readability level. The optimal predictors are ELM+NN and Random Forests as they consistently produced the lowest MSEs on average. These findings are a promising step forward to predicting reading comprehension. The intention is to use such predictions in adaptive eLearning environments.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131418378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This phenomenon is intensified by the rapid evolution and spreading in practice of the Internet of Things services. A huge amount of data is created continuously by the physical and logical sensors embedded into various equipment and aimed to monitor the state of physical processes. Time critical query-response mechanisms of the QoS based systems are more and more penetrating in the low bandwidth wireless sensor environment, as well. The behavior of the wireless sensor network requires special evaluation of the state information sent to and processed by the sink node. The items of the status information flow are affected by the low energy and low bandwidth characteristics of sensor networks. Despite of uncertainty of the data transmission in wireless sensor networks the energy constraint permits rarely retransmission of data affected by error. To mitigate the aforementioned issues, cognitive infocommunication algorithms may prove to be an effective solutions. Consequently, this paper presents a method to detect special events and surprises in time processes of the sensor network communication. The proposed method is applied to ZigBee sensor network (based on IEEE 802.15.4 standard) in different congestion scenarios.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"287 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126919088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the tools are extended with online functionality, new online collaboration environments are appearing and bring along wide range of data for collection. Following this shift with the appearance of cognitive infocommunication we established a framework and created a usage scenario as an online system for supporting programmers in our Smart Campus platform. When we created the platform, extendibility and adaptivity were the primary goals to stand for efficient data collection through crowdsourced collectors. This paper is the continuation of our work and describes our online programming contest environment where services are applied to help the users solving assessments and grading them. The collected data help us to discover hidden correspondences and fine tune our problem suggestion service. While we continuously collect data, the applied clustering algorithms could help us to understand the problems arriving through the students' learning path and along these we could achieve a much more fine-grained solution for our services.","PeriodicalId":377891,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116942022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
