Memory is the essential aspect of the psychological discourse that Tadjo employs as a tunnel connecting the past to the present. The fiction exposes how the genocide causes personal turmoil that creates psychological and emotional breakdown among the victims. The objectives of the study were to examine how the lives of the victims of the war and even survivors had been beaten horribly out of shape by the constant blow of inhumanity. It also examined the application of memory as cathartic in the process of bringing healing to a chaotic and traumatic past and as the individual’s means of coming to term with personal, family, social and political experiences that have refused to be harmonized into an acceptable past. The paper specifically deployed the Charles Mauron’s pschocriticism, a variant of Sigmud’s psychoanalysis, to unravel the mimetic and cathartic representation of dreams and tortures as revealed by metaphors and symbols in the memoir. These metaphorical networks are significant for latent inner realities. The study concluded that the cruelty and human brutality of the genocide in Rwanda exceeded worst expectations. The author aroused the psychological emotions of the fictional characters and transfers same to the readers by creating a cinematographic account of the horrible situation. It also reveals how memory and imaginative fiction are interwoven to provide a connection between the past and present.","PeriodicalId":377638,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Qualitative Analysis","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127584451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some legal issues have been raised by someone who accused Chinese failing to cooperate with World Health Organization and other countries to prevent spread of coronavirus over the world. In fact, several cases have been filed in the federal courts of the United States. This situation makes necessary for legal response. Against theses backgrounds, this paper argues the merits to respond such accusations in accordance with the international laws, focusing on three legal issues, first, to distinguish the general obligations of international cooperation for global health under Constitution of World Health Organization from the special obligations in fighting COVID-19 according to International Health Regulation, secondly, to demonstrate that China did not break these obligations based on the public records or disclosed evidences, and finally, to discuss the litigations in the United States against China from the perspectives of customary international law of the jurisdictional immunity of a state from another state. The method used by this paper is mainly normative analysis to interpret the relevant treaties and to review the cases of international and domestic courts in order to clarify what are the international obligations imposed on China in combating COVID-19 and what are the customary international laws related to the domestic jurisdiction on any cases against China. The conclusion of this paper is that China has not violated any international health laws and the customary international law of sovereignty immunity does not permit any domestic jurisdiction in this regard.","PeriodicalId":377638,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Qualitative Analysis","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134219567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foremost among these is road traffic accident which is serious cause of death in the whole world today. This study examined and mapped rate of reported cases of road accidents across the 36 States and the federal capital of Nigeria between 2013 and 2015. Data acquired from Federal Bureau of Statistics was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Bar charts, graphs, dot map and thematic map were prepared to depict the spatial distribution of the occurrences and fatality classification while regression analysis was used to predict the future situation of road accident in Nigeria. Results showed that; highest rate of accidents 36.9% occurred in the year 2013 with 5,539 deaths. Ogun State recorded highest number of accidents with 9.7% in 2013, Lagos State with 15.4% in 2014 and Ogun State with 6.1% in 2015 which can be attributed to the strategic position of these two States as the gate ways to Nigeria economy. The regression result shows the strong positive relationship between numbers of recorded cases of road accident and death from road traffic accident with regression R value of 0.78 and R2 of 0.61 respectively.","PeriodicalId":377638,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Qualitative Analysis","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130943150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are limited studies on formulating of injera from composite flour with legumes (lupine). The effect of two factors two lupine varieties (Australian sweet lupine and dibettered lupine seed) and blending ratios (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 17.5 and 20). Maximum and minimum levels of independent variables were first investigated by doing a preliminary analysis and founded that tef (80-100%) and lupines (0-20%). Response surface methodology was applied to find the formulations and predictive model. Oil absorption capacity and swelling power properties of composite flour decrease as blending ratio of lupines increased and water absorption and foaming capacity increased as blending ratio of lupines increases for both varieties. The L* value and number of eye by injera eye software were 72.77 to 79.84 and 14220.43 to 18929.33, respectively. The L values of blended injera increased as lupine proportion were increased, but the number of injeras eyes decreased. Therefore, the findings of this study were found to be very significant and it is believed that this study could give insights for use of lupine flour mixed with tef flour in home and industry level for making injera.","PeriodicalId":377638,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Qualitative Analysis","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126831555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
