It employed ex-post factor research design in which time series secondary data covering a nine (9) years period from 2010 to 2018 was obtained for the TEU container freight ocean transport cost, price inflation rates in the economy, TEU container freight road haulage cost from Lagos seaports to the regional hinterland markets in Kano in the north, Onitsha in the east, and Alaba international market in the west. The multiple regression analysis method was used to analyze the obtained data using the OLS method. The findings indicate that, cumulatively, the TEU container freight ocean transport cost and road haulage costs borne by shippers in transporting imports from China through the Lagos seaports to the regional hinterland markets in Nigeria, West Africa, does not significantly influence levels of inflation in commodity prices in the Nigerian economy. The study concluded that, though transport cost influences price inflation rates in the economy; it is not a significant or determinant factor of inflation in commodity prices in the Nigerian economy. Recommendations were proffered on the basis of the research findings.","PeriodicalId":37730,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Information and Decision Science","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77734498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That’s also because bioceramics are often used in the field of tissue engineering as well as implant applications. It is a direct consequence of the effective use of bioceramics. Three-dimensional printing is now the production technology used most often for bioceramics. On the other hand, there are also various approaches (3D Printers). The manufacturing processes have certain commonalities (such as the production of materials in successive layers). Still, they also share some variances (such as the amount of time it takes, the amount of money it costs, and the temperature at which the machine operates). This study contains research on the many ways that may be used to create bioceramics and the benefits and drawbacks of the various methods applied in the manufacturing process.","PeriodicalId":37730,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Information and Decision Science","volume":"127 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88700463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such a great driving force of power has been suppressed by the hazards of insecurity through the means of violence, inequality and sexual harassments. Statistically, the brutalism against women is increasing to a greater extent. The Constitution of India has been supporting much for the empowerment of women by advocating many laws and legal acts like Domestic Violence Act and Dowry Act which ensures the protection of women from the opposing gender and other torment relations in all means of abuse and demands. Apart from the intrinsic securities, and friends and family shielding, women tend to face various challenging circumstances which results in emotional and psychological pain of stress for them. They should learn to stay strong and have the awareness and safety measures to overcome the stress factors, develop their confidence, and mainly modeling their valor abilities to their children thereby raising a courageous daughter and a responsible son who knows the behavioral and disciplinary patterns towards womanhood. Sexual harassment can jeopardize the victim’s emotional and mental health. It may result in loss of self-esteem and depressive hormonal imbalance. This study aims to find out to what extent the safety measures helps to overcome the stress among women in India.","PeriodicalId":37730,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Information and Decision Science","volume":"AES-17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84564566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because the nucleus of commercial banks is intertwined with risks that should be off-set. This study sought to determine the effect of hedging on financial sustainability of commercial banks in Kenya.The study adopted a positivism research philosophy and an expost facto research design. Target population was 43 commercial banks. The study adopted panel data and the pooled, fixed effects or random effects models were adopted in the study. The study sought to find-out which model was the most appropriate to explain the effect of hedging on financial sustainability. Findings revealed that the fixed-effect model was the most appropriate model that was adopted to explain the effect of hedging onfinancial sustainability. The findings were as follows; options ( β = .0118, p < 0.05), forwards (β = .6116, p < 0.05), swaps (β = .0114, p < 0.05) and futures (β = .5555, p < 0.05). The study concluded that hedging has a significant effect on financial sustainability of commercial banks. Financial derivatives such as options, forwards, swaps and futures helps commercial banks to hedge against risk. Hedging is the most optimal approach for off-setting risk so as to achieve financial sustainability. The fixed-effect model is the most appropriate model to explain the effect of hedging on financial sustainability. The study recommended that all financial institutions should practice hedging so as to off-set risk and be able to realize financial sustainability. Options, forwards, swaps and futures are the financial derivatives that should be adopted by commercial banks to hedge against risk.","PeriodicalId":37730,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Information and Decision Science","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91207247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the United States fashion business, privately owned brick-and-mortar fashion boutiques face the unique challenge of strategically competing with online retailers who usually have low overheads and inventories. Low adaptability,limited innovation, and inadequate attention to a changing marketing landscape could be responsible for the decline in the survival rate of several traditional, or pure brick-and-mortar fashion boutiques. Newer approaches may be essential for traditional and online entrepreneurs, to increase adaptability and business sustainability and in increasing customer marketing outreach. Grounded in the general systems theory, the research conducted in this qualitative study was with the invocation of a multiple case design and entailed gaining insight into the exploration of strategies used by successful brick-and-mortar fashion boutique owners in contending with the purely online retailers. Semi-structured interviews constituted the means for data collection and involved 5 brickand-mortar fashion boutique owner participants, who operated retail fashion businesses in the southeast region of the United States. The successful existence of the business for more than 5 years was an important prerequisite for participation criteria in the study, as also indicated merit in studying the critical success factors in traditional fashion retailing. The data from interviews were analyzed and triangulated with credible secondary sources such as information and reports from the U. S. Small Business Administration, U. S. Census Bureau, and the fashion industry. From a thematic analysis of the interview data, the major emergent themes were the importance of the business success of marketing strategies, cognizance of fashion trends and the role of customer preference in economic success resepectively. The ensuing knowledge from the utilization of the study may serve to increase the success rates of traditional and online fashion startups and possibly provide knowledge on the strategic imperatives for these businesses to compete in an online business world.","PeriodicalId":37730,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Information and Decision Science","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84912227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
