NOMA has been shown to provide significant performance gains over orthogonal multiple access (OMA) in terms of spectral efficiency and throughput. In this paper, two scenarios of NOMA are analyzed and simulated, involving two users and multiple users (four users) in order to evaluate the performance of NOMA in terms of bits per error ratio (BER) and achievable sum-rate (R-sum), then comparing NOMA with OMA in terms of achievable sum rate. The obtained results indicate that an improvement is achieved for two users NOMA (16.7 (bps/Hz)) compared with OMA (15.53(bps/Hz)), while for multi-users NOMA (20.69 (bps/Hz)) compared with OMA (15.79 (bps/Hz)) at transmitted power equal to 25 dBm.","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129246925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is featured by a progressive decline of kidney function and is mainly caused by chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. CKD is a complex disease due to cardiovascular complications and high morbidity; however, there is no single treatment to improve kidney function in CKD patients. The aim of the study is to evaluate the relationship between chronic renal failure and diabetes, as intensive glucose control can slow the loss of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and possibly progression to the end stage of the disease.  The study will focus on finding the percentage of kidney failure in the community, its causes, clinical symptoms and treatment.\u0000\u0000","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123744824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If the patient is exposed to radiation for an extended length of time, his life will be jeopardized. Noise reduction in the photos is necessary when asked to lower the high radiation dosage and time it takes, which hides some of the right information from the physician and makes it difficult for him to appropriately analyze it. As a consequence, pre-processing has become the most significant item in digital image processors, and in this research, we offer a novel hybrid technology approach to decrease noise caused when photos are captured with medical equipment or when they are transferred. While respecting the image's edges, the resulting noise of the salt and pepper type. The statistical quantity measurements, Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) are used to assess the enhanced picture quality. To illustrate this method, take 0.08 salts and pepper noise and compute it as MSE it becomes 2.58 and PSNR 202.67, which indicates that this method is better than others at removing higher noise as well.","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"427 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115655096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the study is to check the level of anthropometric variables (Age, Body Mass Index, Waist circumference and waist to hip ratio), the variables to study T2DM ( FBS, HbA1C, Insulin and HOMA-IR) in other hand, study of thyroid hormones ( T3,T4) and pituitary hormone (TSH)  that effect on and effected by T2DM. This study involved collecting (140) samples (80) patients females diagnosed with T2DM and (60) samples of healthy females, all samples were collected from subjects of the same age group P?0.05 was used to determine whether the study's findings were significant. The difference in age between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05), while anthropometric characteristics showed highly significant differences (P<0.01) for the other parameters the level of glucose, insulin, HbA1C, HOMA-IR, T4 and TSH were substantially higher (P<0.05) in patients females than in control, T3 level was non-significant (P>0.05) effect. From the collected information it is clear that weight and it is variables have a big effect and conceder as a reason for T2DM, the study of FBS and HbA1C is done to give evidence  that the harm happened in the pancreas makes the body unable to digest glucose. The insulin is secreted in patients more than control and it  insured that the reason made it unable to work is the activity of insulin resistance , the interruption of some auto immune effect causes the elevation in IR and that’s  makes the insulin unable to do his job in the body and decrease the level of glucose. The level of TSH raised and T4 decreased in T2DM patients and that back to the fact that the thyroid hormones join in the metabolism of glucose and the dysfunction in the work of this gland effect by several ways on T2DM.","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127347820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nanoscale materials contain unique electrical, magnetic, catalytic, and optical properties that can be applied in various fields, including engineering, medicine, and the environment. Nanomaterials with appealing chemical and physical properties are being researched for potential energy and environmental applications. Nanomaterials have grabbed people's interest due to their ability to enhance efficiency through-beam gap control, chemical composition, structural diagram, light propagation, and charge/transport collection, among other things. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles are mass-produced all over the world for use in a range of applications. TiO2 nanostructured materials have aroused much interest in the energy and environmental sectors due to their future applications in photocatalysis, solar cells, and pollution remediation. Furthermore, because TiO2 nanoparticles are widely available, inexpensive, and non-toxic, they are routinely employed in various products, including cosmetics, where they are used as a UV filter in sunscreens, face creams, foundation, and lipstick. Analgesics. Because of the relevance of titanium dioxide, we will discuss it in this review by demonstrating its characteristics, photocatalysis mechanism, and uses that come into direct contact with human existence.","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127372175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are various methods for central corneal thickness measurement, which differ in their operating principles and technology beside the difference in their advantages and limitation. This study aims to compare central corneal thickness (CCT) values of healthy eyes measured by two common devices: ultrasound pachymetry (UP) and non-contact specular microscopy (NCSM) and to determine the average difference between the two measurements. The study was conducted in the ophthalmology outpatient clinic in Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital- Hilla city and included 99 healthy individuals (198 eyes) of both genders. Results indicated that NCSM tends to give thinner CCT values compared to UP while providing quicker, safer and more comfortable evaluation for corneal thickness in addition to corneal endothelial cell density.","PeriodicalId":376434,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Nanotechnology","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123767838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
