The Indonesian application is called PeduliLindungi. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive understading of the public’s intention to use such applications by incorporating trust, trust in government, privacy concerns, and social influence variables as an extension to the technology acceptance model (TAM). A questionnaire was distributed online through social media to attain 371 participants among Indonesian inhabitants based on the convenience sampling method. Descriptive analysis and covariance-based structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that intention was predicted well by trust, attitude, and social influence. Furthermore, trust in government played a role in predicting the application’s trustworthiness. The government and decision-makers should consider this observation in promoting the PeduliLindungi application, as it could increase its effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"34 15","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135819123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data was gathered through online surveys conducted among adults residing in a four-county region in northern Texas during a two-week period in late 2022, yielding 130 valid responses. The results of regression analysis indicate a positive association between the inclination to utilize ChatGPT for enhancing one's community and proficiency in information literacy and privacy literacy. However, an unexpected observation emerges as data literacy skills do not exhibit a significant relationship with this inclination, despite ChatGPT's standing as a data science innovation. Moreover, age, gender, educational attainment, and internet usage patterns are identified as influential factors in these associations. These findings hold substantial importance in comprehending the intricate dynamics of how diverse literacies and individual and community-related variables mutually shape each other's development.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"35 12","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135818159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data digitisation, computing infrastructure and machine learning are helping AI tools to spread across all sectors of society. This article presents the results of a bibliometric analysis of AI-related publications in the social sciences over the last ten years (2013-2022). Most of the historical publications are taken into consideration with the aim of identifying research relevance and trends in this field. The results indicate that more than 19,408 articles have been published, 85% from 2008 to 2022, showing that research in this field is increasing significantly year on year. Clear domains or disciplines of research related to AI within the social sciences can be grouped into sub-areas such as law and legal reasoning, education, economics, and ethics. The United States is the country that publishes the most (20%), followed by China (13%). The influence of AI on society is inevitable and the advances can generate great opportunities for innovation and new jobs, but in the medium term it is necessary to adequately face this transition, setting regulations and reviewing the challenges of ethics and responsibility.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135818882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are a tool for any emerging company that wants to increase consumer numbers of a specific target audience, effective for several generations. This research focuses on examining brand equity and consumers’ attitude and purchase intentions depending on credibility, measured as the expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness of social media influencers. To study these variables, a study hypothesis was made using the PSL-SEM model based on a measured questionnaire. The obtained results suggest that both credibility of social media influencers and brand equity have a positive impact on consumers’ purchase intentions and they are positively interrelated. These results also make it possible to infer that although the independent variable, trustworthiness, does not directly influence brand equity, it has indirect impact through other variables.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"26 15","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135818909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper is part of a wider research project on the social acceptance of payment implants as an example of Human Enhancement Technology. At this stage, the focus was on identifying the characteristics attributed to users of this form of augmentation in order to assess social attitudes towards them. The study used the method of projection techniques, recognizing that real attitudes towards payment implants may be unconscious or reluctantly verbalized by a person. The research results indicate that the profile of people using payment implants as perceived by society and the set of characteristics attributed to them differs depending on whether the user is a woman or a man. Attention was also drawn to the differences in social and individual attitudes towards this form of augmentation.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"34 23","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135818166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research data set is based on surveys conducted by the European Commission in 2020-2021 for 35 European countries. Canonical analysis revealed that 66.67% of cybercrime cases (Phishing, Pharming, Online identity theft, etc.) determine individuals' choice of personal protection method (using a security token, social media logins, electronic identification, etc.). Kohonen's self-organizing maps were used to form 9 clusters of countries depending on the attitude of IT users to personal cybersecurity. The map results showed that individuals behave less responsibly using a security token, electronic identification certificate or card, pin code list or random characters of a password, and other electronic identification procedures. Users from Denmark, the Netherlands, Iceland, Norway, the UK, Austria, and Finland were the most responsible Europeans in terms of personal protection, while people from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina were the least conscientious about protection.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"34 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135819129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pandemic situation of recent years has highlighted the benefits of using state-of-the-art ICT. However, exploring the negative consequences is a less popular topic. The aim of this research is to identify the most significant risks factors of technostress that threaten the balanced performance of employees at work and the possibility of work-life balance. In 2021, statistical correlations between risk factors for technostress were identified using SPSS 26, based on the opinions of 237 Hungarian higher education staff. Using SPSS AMOS 27, a proprietary model was built to test the impact of the most serious risks on personal and work life. The results show that three factors have the greatest impact on work-life balance, which also affect organisational performance. Loss of leisure time due to techno-overload and techno-invasion, and a feeling of techno-uncertainty due to lack of ICT competence cause a sense of threat. These compromise work-life balance and, at the same time, work performance. The mutually reinforcing negative effects influence the sense of well-being (happiness) at work, the feeling of job security and force employees to learn continuously.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"106 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75687089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They affect, among other things, the organisation of work, work structures, employment patterns and working time. Solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence (BI), robotic process automation (RPA), workflow, process mining, etc. are now a daily reality in the corporate sector, be it physical or mental work. However, the spread of digital solutions across organisations, spaces and sectors is uneven. Can the impact of this uneven spread be observed in employment, especially in atypical forms of employment? In our questionnaire research, we seek to establish how employees with tertiary education in two pairs of sectors (Hungarian and Romanian non-profit sectors and Hungarian non-profit and for-profit sectors) in two countries perceive some demographic characteristics of teleworking. In our research, we analysed the responses of Hungarian and Romanian working-age citizens with tertiary education who had been working in telework for at least one year at the time of completing the questionnaire. In addition to the deterioration of work relationships and the lack of personal contacts already shown by many studies, it is observed that the work-life balance is upset for single people and those without children, while the number of children does not influence opinions on teleworking. The differences observed and presented in the study are typically not gender-specific but largely based on globalised perspectives.","PeriodicalId":37614,"journal":{"name":"Human Technology","volume":"26 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72402564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
