The impacts of the rate of roll diameter, decrease in altitude, and rotational speeds of the rolls on the width of cross-section and the curl radii at the leaving point of deformation for the brass and aluminum bar materials were investigated. Furthermore, the asymmetric rolling process of square section bars was simulated using ABAQUS commercial software. A great convergence was demonstrated among the findings forecasted by the FEM simulation and the experimental findings. It was found that by increasing the rate of rolling diameter, the curl radius and the width of the bar cross-section at the exit have been increased, and the roll speed has a insignificant impact on the width and the curl radius of the rolled bar.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44574070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hybrid systems included series-parallel and parallel-series with symmetric components representing the machine's operation times; these times follow a generalized exponential distribution. Furthermore, we suggested employing a hybrid system parallel series in the application part of this research, which includes the operation times of Baghdad's Vegetable Oil factory machines. The results of the reliability function for the factory system indicate that the probability that the factory machines will stop during the first hour is more than 40%. Still, if the hybrid parallel-series system is applied, the probability that the factory operating system will not stop during the second hour becomes 80%.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47438148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to maintain high standards and achieve excellence, they must continuously seek out the most effective practices and strategies for success. Strategic management has been demonstrated to be an efficient tool for enhancing institutional performance, and the university's organizational culture, which is comprised of traditional institutional elements, is recognized as a significant factor in how organizations operate. Through the utilization of strategic thinking as a mediator, this research aims to evaluate and clarify how organizational culture impacts institutional excellence. A simple random sample was employed to gather information from individuals in managerial positions across multiple sections. Most people use wearable devices for mHealth, hence there are many potential applications for the “Internet of Medical Things (IoMT)”. Only 5G can provide the necessary support for smart medical devices to perform many different types of demanding computing activities. Today, heart disease was the major mortality on a global scale. For patients who need a greater accurate diagnosis and treatment, the advancement of medical innovation has created new obstacles. Although many studies have focused on diagnosing cardiac disease, the findings are often inaccurate and fail to fulfill patients' expectations of quality of service (QoS). So, this paper introduces a novel “feed-forward Bi-directional long-short term memory (FF-Bi-LSTM) algorithm to predict heart disease more accurately with enhanced QoS in IoMT based on 5G”. Linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and min-max normalization are employed, respectively, for preprocessing and feature extraction. Several measures, including precision, recall, accuracy, and f1-score, are used to the assess effectiveness of the suggested strategy. The proposed method also compared to certain existing techniques. These results show that the suggested strategy outperforms existing strategies in terms of improving QoS.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49024683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using sensor networks, intelligent wearable devices have exchanged data that has benefited in the evaluation of possible security hazards. If smart wearables in sensor networks use an excessive amount of power during data transmission, both network lifetime and data transmission performance may suffer. Despite the network's effective data transmission, smart wearable patches include data that has been combined from several sources utilizing common aggregators. Data analysis requires careful network lifespan control throughout the aggregation phase. By using the Nomadic People Optimizer-based Energy-Efficient Routing (NPO-EER) approach, which effectively allows smart wearable patches by minimizing data aggregation time and eliminating routing loops, the network lifetime has been preserved in this research. The obtained findings showed that the NPO method had a great solution. Estimated Aggregation time, Energy consumption, Delay, and throughput have all been shown to be accurate indicators of the system's performance.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46372739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some requirements are low cost, lightweight, durable and withstand the loading environment. Different methods have been used to make such selections based on the optimisation of material properties such as statistical, graphical and computer software. The selection of the optimal material for the socket, shank and foot of BK prostheses is thus considered in this work using the multi-criterion decision-making (MCDM) technique. One of the MCDM strategies is TOPSIS, which was used to choose the ideal material and make a recommendation to design BK prosthesis under different conditions. The common materials used for socket, shank and foot are collected from research works as reference data including polymers, composite, metal alloys, and wood. The results show that pineapple fibre-reinforced composite (PFRC) composite provides light and stiff sockets and PFRC composite provides elastic thought sockets. Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) provides a stiff shank, and stainless steel (SS 304) alloy provides shock resist shank. Hardwood can be used for low-cost foot, and carbon fibre for shock resistance foot.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47398029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, water treatment centers in general need a reliable evaluation that helps in evaluating the output Water treatment centers according to the standards set for each center. The research aims to evaluate the reliability of the Rashidiya water center using the two-parameter Weibull distribution, where the distribution parameters were estimated using the least squares method using the (Matlab 2022) program. The chi-square test was used for Goodness of Fit at a significant level of 0.05, through the Easy Fit 5.5 professional program. It was found to be distributed according to the Weibull distribution, and descriptive statistics were calculated for each parameter, and it was found that the mean (and median) of the turbidity values (9.379), which is within the permissible limit, The mean (and median) chlorine values are (0.0279), which is also much less than the permissible limit. The efficiency scale was used to remove turbidity. It was found that the average efficiency of turbidity removal is 71.35%, which is a relatively acceptable level. However, it is necessary to increase the turbidity treatment to raise the level of efficiency. It was found through the Weibull distribution analysis that the value of reliability for the removal of turbidity is (0.99), and for the remaining amount of chlorine is (0.99). The research concluded that the Rashidiya water center is reliable during the research period. The research recommends evaluating all water treatment centers in Iraq in general, and in Baghdad in particular, periodically and at certain time periods. The research also recommends using the natural logarithm distribution as it is suitable for evaluation.","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45646148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This new shrinkage estimator is a modification of (Ridge and Adaptive Lasso) shrinkage regression method in the presence of the mixing parameter that was calculated in the Elastic-Net. The Proposed estimator is called (Improved Mixed Shrinkage Estimator (IMSHE)) to handle the problem of multicollinearity. In practice, it is difficult to achieve the required accuracy and efficiency when dealing with a big data set, especially in the case of multicollinearity problem between the explanatory variables. By using Basic shrinkage methods (Lasso, Adaptive Lasso and Elastic Net) and comparing their results with the New shrinkage method (IMSH) was applied to a set of obesity -related data containing (52) variables for a sample of (112) observations. All shrinkage methods have also been compared for efficiency through Mean Square Error (MSE) criterion and Cross Validation Parameter (CVP). The results showed that the best shrinking parameter among the four methods (Lasso, Adaptive Lasso, Elastic Net and IMSH) was for the IMSH shrinkage method, as it corresponds to the lowest (MSE) based on the cross-validation parameter test (CVP). The new proposed method IMSH achieved the optimal shrinking parameter (λ = 0.6932827) according to the (CVP) test, that leads to have minimum value of mean square error (MSE) equal (0.2576002). The results showed when the value of the regularization parameter increases, the value of the shrinkage parameter decreases to become equal to zero, so the ideal number of variables after shrinkage is (p=6)","PeriodicalId":37519,"journal":{"name":"Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43964459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The capabilities of WBAN are developing to meet these needs. The complexity, heterogeneity, and instability of the mobile context make it difficult to complete these duties successfully. A more secure and flexible WBAN setting can be attained using a trust-untrust nodes classification, which is one method to satisfy the security needs of the WBAN. Considering this, we present a novel Deep Learning (DL) approach for classifying WBAN nodes using spatial attention based iterative DBN (SA-IDBN). Z-score normalization is used to remove repetitive entries from the input data. Then, Linear Discriminate Analysis (LDA) is employed to retrieve the features from the normalized data.
