Unlike stocks or foreign exchange, Bitcoin price is fluctuated, mainly because of its 24-hours a day trading time without close time. To minimize the risk involved and maximize capital gain, traders and investors need a way to predict the Bitcoin price trend accurately. However, many previous works on cryptocurrency price prediction forecast short-term Bitcoin price, have low accuracy and have not been cross-validatedThis paper describes the baseline neural network models to predict the short-term and the long-term Bitcoin price change. Our baseline models are the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and the Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) models. Data used are Bitcoin's blockchain from August 2010 until October 2017 with 2-days period and the total amount of 1300 data. The models generated are predicting both for short-term and long-term price change, from 2-days until 60-days.The result shows that long-term prediction has a better result than short-term prediction, with the best accuracy in Multilayer Perceptron when predicting the next 60-days price change and Recurrent Neural Networks when predicting the next 56-days price change. Multilayer Perceptron outperforms Recurrent Neural Networks with accuracy of 81.3 percent, precision 81 percent, and recall 94.7 percent.","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131011672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is an opportunity to develop the power distribution network system. Distributed generation (DG) or small power plant spread over the distribution network level is one solution that could increase the power quality of the distribution system. Installation of distributed generation (DG) could increase the value of voltage, reduce power losses in the line, improve the reliability system, power quality, preventing drop voltages on the distribution network, maintain voltage level according to established standards and also as back up generation and voltage support especially at the summit load in the distribution network. So in accordance with the things described above it is designed a simulator determining the location and size of the optimally distributed generation (DG) by using Particle Swarm Optimization. In this simulator using the Graphical User Interface (GUI) system, so that in determining location, there’s an easy view to understanding and it’s expected to be used as non-technical considerations on the installation of distributed generation (DG).","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115305263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, one of the solutions that this study offered is to improve production results through innovations by performing an automatic plantation’s watering process that can be monitored remotely. The purpose of this study is to help farmers to be able to control the condition of the soil moisture, together with the automatic watering process. The hardware used in this research is the NodeMCU Board with Wi-Fi ESP-32, Relay, and Moisture Sensors. This research applied the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT), where each sensor module was assembled to be an object that has been programmed to carry out its tasks. A fuzzy-based module was developed to regulate the pump control, measure soil moisture, and control the water pump machine. Furthermore, each object was given its own identity to facilitate the communication process of every object. This process was connecting each object through the internet network by applying a lightweight communication protocol, the MQTT protocol. The data from sensors that represented the condition of each object were displayed on a graph in real-time. There were also tables of data that can be printed into a document file. This research was able to assist farmers in the process of watering their plants. Therefore, the harvesting process had increased, with only a little maintenance cost.","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132808498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A smart home is one of the IoT technology applications that facilitate human activities. The problem of physical abnormalities is a matter of limited activities for disabled people. This paper proposes a design of IoT-based smart home application with a remote control device that developed using voice commands for disabled people. Smart home control systems help disabled people to control their home electrical devices such as television (TV), lights, and fans using only voice commands without moving to turn on or turn off electrical equipment. The voice recognition on electrical equipment is using the Google Assistant's application on smartphones. The Google Assistant application will accept voice commands when the pronunciation is correct. Voice commands on IoT-based Smart Home are more simple to apply, without typing text messages. Users get convenience compared to using text. The signal strength of an Internet connection will create a useful performance device at the Response Time of Google Assistant, Response Time of System Processing, activating and deactivating Electrical Equipment. We expect that this device could be more useful to help disabled people interact with their environment by utilizing IoT technology facilities.","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115653800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with the development of communication technology, each traveler shares data about the ranking of travel destinations through their mobile devices. The commonly used data sharing architecture is the centralized model. However, this architecture still has some weaknesses, so it needs to be improved, for example, through decentralized architecture as developed in this research in a Tourism Destination Rating System (TDRS). This system is a combination of 6AsTD as a framework for assessing the success level of tourism destinations and blockchain as the data-sharing architecture between tourists. The 6AsTD frameworks use six variables as a reference for assessing tourism destinations. The rating results distributed to each traveler's mobile device connected to the blockchain network. Furthermore, the system built-in this study was tested on several tourists in Batu Tourism City. The TDRS can generate assessments that can be quickly submitted to other users using applications connected to the Blockchain network.","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114140142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For emergency communication applications, the HF communication system is expected to send text messages by implementing a digital communication system. This paper presents the design of the HF digital communication system on a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) platform for easy implementation. To achieve a good error rate performance, the AX.25 protocol is used at the data link layer. The system performance is evaluated by measuring Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Bit Error Rate (BER), Character Error Rate (CER), and Frame Error Rate (FER) with and without the AX.25 protocol. The results show that the system has been successfully implemented on the USRP platform with LabView as the user interface, while the use of the AX.25 protocol generates a zero error rate.","PeriodicalId":375166,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications (ICoSTA)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124023454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation of IS requires many interrelated processes. Failure in implementing IS can lead to negative impacts for higher education, both material, time and other resources. Change is one of the impacts of IS implementation that must be considered. The success of implementing IS depends on how far the change can be managed successfully. Therefore, guidelines are needed to manage changes in IS implementation. A change management model for IS implementation is proposed in this paper. There are 8 domains and 20 aspects of the model that are arranged based on three existing management models.
