Time evolution of such processes is characterized by time intervals where some state components are kept constant, so that classical models are not generally available. The state components can be found in two statuses, namely: active or blocked. Such systems are a particular case of Variable Structure Systems (VSS). The main idea in this paper is to model SBS by using so called blocking functions and to realize a parameterization based on time intervals. Different cathegoruy of SBS are presented. A time variable decomposition is proposed. Examples obtained by numerical simulation point out the advantages of this approach.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127160002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the research was to determine electrical characteristics for AC voltage supplying the MR damper coil. Understanding of the dynamic characteristics of the control coil is necessary for the proper selection of the parameters for current controllers supplying MR dampers. In order to know the dynamic characteristics of the damper control coil laboratory tests and numerical calculations were carried out. The tests were performed for sinusoidal voltage with an amplitude of 1 V and frequency changed in the range of 0.1-100 Hz. The results of the experiments were compared with the results of the simulation by step responses, the characteristics of amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency. This work will be used to build a model of a self-powered vibration reduction system equipped with a conditioning system.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122183184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Usually, mechanical parameters, such as position and velocity are estimated by measuring only electrical signals. This concept is referred as \"sensorless\" and has the major benefit of saving costly external sensing elements, thus reducing costs and improving robustness. Regarding solenoid actuators, the position and velocity of the moving part is usually to be estimated. A literature survey has showed that in corresponding solenoid models thermal behavior is not properly considered. In case the device is subject to significant temperature deviations or internal heat gradients, model parameters, thus estimation accuracy may suffer from significant \"thermal\" uncertainty. In this paper, major thermal phenomena related to valve actuators are highlighted. The concept of multilayer laminates is proposed for modeling and an analytical solution sought. General treatment of the underlying problem is also presented with the most important modeling principles discussed.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121581893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two-port networks, also known as four-terminal networks, are usually represented using matrices which allow the network to be analyzed easily without getting through internal current and voltages. In this paper we present the mathematical properties of a generalized fractional-order two-port network represented as a symmetrical T-section through its hybrid parameters.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134221115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Basic improvement was achieved in significant increasing of heat exchange area, heat distribution and in the hydrodynamics. Development and operation of this thermal apparatus is based on physical and mathematical modelling, which can significantly contribute to acquire required critical knowledge. For lumpy and granular material thermal treatment the approximate mathematical model based on elementary balance method was developed. Model adequacy and complexity is crucial part of generation of the effective VR system. One of the possibilities to master this difficulty is generation of the hierarchical simulation models. Presented system consists of the following discriminations levels: Production line, technological aggregate, aggregate components, processes. The production line is of granular materials thermal treatment. Regarded technological aggregates are rotary furnace, shaft furnace, microfluid furnace and the furnace in compact thin layer. The modelled processes are gas flow, material flow, combustion, heating, cooling, drying, condensation, calcinations and sintering. Models are part of the developed VR system.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133573790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several model constraints are fulfilled. Test rig design is featured and described. Its main elements are: vertical stiff rod (a tower) and a system of steel plates and blocks that is fitted rigidly at rod's top (a nacelle), connected horizontally via a spring and MR damper with an additional mass of vibration absorber. The nacelle is excited horizontally, forcing tower bending modes of vibration. The rod itself may be either fitted rigidly at its bottom to the ground and excited horizontally at an arbitrary height by the second shaker, or laid on the steel plate being excited horizontally.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133308062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fuzzy transform method is design as a pair of two transform. The first one maps a continuous function to a real vector. The second one, inverse transform, is naturally a mapping from the space of real vectors to the space of continuous function. Later on, more and more applications had been appearing to be appropriate because of several valuable properties which are typical for the method. This paper proposes a short overview of these valuable properties. It however, avoids technical and mathematical details since they are not crucial for such a technical paper. Our main task is to introduce the method to practitioners, present its applications for smoothing of measured courses of output variables of control systems. Processed courses are used to control system identification. An example of Humusoft helicopter model identification is described in the paper with the purpose to show how to apply the Fuzzy Transform for smoothing of functions.","PeriodicalId":373601,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"116 28","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131912997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
