This study analyzed altruism and servant teaching theories and used a qualitative case study method. The study was completed at a four-year university and included participants who had at least three years of online teaching experience. Three research questions framed this study, asking how online social science faculty judge the influence of instructor altruistic and/or servant teaching behaviors on student learning. The study used three instruments to collect data, a questionnaire, one-on-one interviews, and focus group discussions. The coding process identified five themes, which were rapport, barriers, values, success, and response. From these themes, the data was found to be consistent with previous literature, showing that these behaviors can be influential in student learning.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127903509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their scope of influence and efficacy is thus enabled through leadership appropriateness and skill. As leadership theory remains constant in the face of an ever-changing higher education landscape, leaders have the opportunity to utilize culturally competent best practices gathered throughout education and career to solve problems and meet the needs of diverse student populations. Furthermore, students are dependent on such competencies as they are likely to model their leaders as they assume leadership roles in their academic and professional environments. The following semi-systematic review offers insight into four leadership styles, charismatic leadership, servant leadership, transformational leadership, and situational leadership. Recommendations grounded in these are included for those responsible for effective cultural competency in academic settings.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132475786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though there has been increased awareness, unethical leadership continues to rise, requiring the need to slow the progression of future business leaders' tendency to be unethical by training them to develop ethical value systems as undergraduates. Although there is much debate about whether business students should receive ethical training, the main issue is its teaching. The researcher in this study explores developing students' affective domain using the Boricua Colleges' Business Administration Differentiation of Personal and Professional Values course. The course focuses on students developing their mental and emotional states by deconstructing the constructs of ethics to develop ethical value systems. The researcher explored this course as a possible link to address what is missing from the Business Administration curriculum to support developing ethical business students in their behaviors and decision-making.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133044086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indicated is how the review of scholarly peer-reviewed studies is an investigative process providing context to scholarship studies and overall scholarship. Further, the scholar-practitionership application exhibits how exceptional scholarship skills improve the body of data, structure, and quality needed to investigate global issues. Scholars provide a wide-ranging analysis of phenomena to convey conceptual, theoretical, and empirical analysis of studies. Further, substantive feedback from collaborative research panels allows for substantiation and a well-developed final product. Likewise, the content of a scholarly study must align to reflect objectivity and continuity. The present study examined the effects of SPS and leader deception on ethical decision-making. Participants completing a scenario-based ethical decision-making task were given information within the task that their hypothetical leader was honest or deceptive. Results revealed that people higher in SPS who had an honest leader made significantly better decisions than both 1) people higher in SPS with a deceptive leader and 2) people lower in SPS in general. Results suggest that for people higher in SPS, cognitive processing may be disrupted by leader deception, so ethics interventions should help them to learn techniques or use cognitive tools to overcome the disruption.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132901795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to weakened academic integrity, it involves re-ranking and impacts earnings. The practice of grade inflation also provides a mismatch in the labor market resulting in students who are highly skilled being harmed. Academic administrators, college leadership, and faculty can partner to develop policy, training, and best practices that diminish or completely abate the inflation of grades. The purpose of this case study is to examine the issue of grade inflation in higher education using a three-part evaluation that will include a review of the case and case analysis followed by a recommended case solution.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"153 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132634909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Current leadership strategies are proving ineffective and outdated. While many prevalent leadership styles have positive outcomes, they are incapable of leading organizations in a new, complex, and progressively dynamic environment. Effective leadership in contemporary society must consider a holistic approach that pushes beyond mere temporal values to call leaders to a higher standard of living and performance. This paper presents an overview of the literature on current leadership patterns and introduces a new approach influenced by the Christian virtues of service and humility. Stemoh leadership offers a unique approach that drives leaders to greatness through integrity, insight, agility, flexibility, and resilience.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134412180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this quantitative study is to increase the understanding of what concerns medical professionals have about data usability generated by these devices, and if blockchain can eliminate these challenges. An online survey was distributed to 29 medical professionals. The findings that surveyed participants showed that significant concerns that the patients' IT skills, device malfunction, data privacy, the patient's exam skills and environment during the exam are factors that may affect the patient health data. Upon analyzing blockchain capabilities, it was discovered that it can be used as a solution to some of the identified hurdles and help to comply to the health data priorities in healthcare ethics.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121663080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The digital age holds great potential for increased inclusion and closure of the „Gender Leadership Gap“, especially in the construction industry. Industry standards, including global ones, are being examined to achieve more inclusive corporate governance models. The construction industry, which is regarded as one of the most traditional and conservative, male-dominated industries, serves as the best example for a long overdue need for dynamic restructuring and action related to women leadership. There is a need to redefine, recalibrate and reshape this industry by increasing women’s role in the social-, digital - and business transformation processes. This approach bridges the current divide and facilitates movement from discussion and advocacy towards application and practice.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125734975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To our knowledge, no research has addressed this relationship in a context of political instability. So, this research seeks to study the influence of both transformational and authentic leadership styles on LMX in a period of political instability. The objective is to know whether these two styles of leadership remain effective in a context of democratic transition. To this end, a quantitative approach is adopted. A questionnaire was distributed to 126 managers belonging to industrial firms in Tunisia. Unlike the literature, authentic leadership does not influence the LMX. The latter is partially influenced by transformational leadership. Therefore, it is important to consider other factors such as political skills in order to maintain the quality of LMX in a situation of political instability.","PeriodicalId":373087,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Responsible Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129431032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
