Women's lives have changed dramatically over the past quarter century. Progress on gender equality remains limited. The still strong patriarchal culture prolongs the suffering of the helpless and complicates the struggle and change toward justice and gender equality. Discrimination against women is a common problem in almost all occupations, even in most parts of the world. It can be understood that gender is a distinction that is neither biological nor divine nature. The purpose of this study is to raise the theme of gender equality which is discussed based on Church documents, namely Gaudium Et Spes art. 9 and art. 29. This research uses a type of library research, which has the aim of tracing and analyzing data or information about the essence of Gaudium Et Spes Article 9 and Article 29 documents concerning Gender Equality. The contribution of Gaudium Et Spes Art. 9 and Art. 29 is that the similarities between men and women are through the institution of goodwill in the sense that both men and women participate in what the church stands for, which is the struggle to shape human life more humanely. The Catholic Church also stressed that this will take a long time, considering that the fight for gender equality is not easy, especially in a world that is heavily influenced by patriarchy. In addition, this research is useful to open horizons regarding gender equality and everyone, both men and women, realize the differences that exist as God's goodwill. Through this document, the Church strives to think about how gender issues are taken seriously to avoid injustices in public life.","PeriodicalId":372927,"journal":{"name":"Kamaya: Jurnal Ilmu Agama","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121070930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This plurality has the potential to cause conflict. Conflict can be avoided by the openness of religious institutions towards other religions or beliefs. One of the ways to show this is the openness of a house of worship towards other religions and beliefs. This research aims to dig deeper into the openness of the attitude of the Nam Ha Kwan Se Im Pu Sa Temple towards other religions and beliefs. Data was collected by deep interviews, observation, and documentation. The selection of informants or research subjects was carried out purposively. This temple has a very open attitude towards other religions and beliefs by making altars or pavilions for holy figures of other religions and beliefs. This temple not only honors Buddhist figures but also other figures such as Macopo from Taoism, Spiritual Bells from Confucianism, Our Lady from Catholicism, Lord Ganesha from Hinduism, Eyang Semar from Java, Eyang Prabu Siliwangi from Tatar Sunda, and Nyai Roro Kidul who is trusted by local residents as the sovereign of the South Sea. This research is based on the occurrence of several ripples of conflict with religious nuances in Lombok Island, including those that have occurred in the city of Mataram. Anticipating this, education as a vehicle for developing knowledge and values for students has a central position. Education, including non-formal education, must contribute to strengthening the awareness of religious moderation to students. As a type of qualitative research, the data obtained in this study were collected using library techniques and document recording. The results of the analysis show that the forms of mythological discrimination received by epilepsy sufferers in the Tri Education Center are restrictions, shunned, ostracized, humiliated, humiliated, and even imprisoned. The causes of the emergence of mythological discrimination of people with epilepsy are due to the low quality of education (formal, informal, non-formal), the low implementation of human values, the degradation of morality, and the low implementation of the teachings of Catur Marga Yoga. Solutions that can be taken to overcome the phenomenon of mythological discrimination of epilepsy sufferers according to Hindu religious teachings include improving the quality of tattwa (philosophical) education, increasing moral quality, integrating human values that are integrated in the concept of Pawongan with tat tvam asi, and the last is realizing the implementation of the teachings of catur marga yoga (bhakti marga yoga, jnana marga yoga, karma marga yoga and raja marga yoga).","PeriodicalId":372927,"journal":{"name":"Kamaya: Jurnal Ilmu Agama","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126214914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
