Ali","doi":"10.1145/3034950.3034957","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3034950.3034957","url":null,"abstract":"In this research we have tried to identify successful and unsuccessful projects on GitHub from a sample of 5000 randomly picked projects in a number of randomly selected languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript, C#/C++, HTML). We have selected 1000 projects for each of these languages through the publicly available GitHub API, refined our dataset, and applied different machine learning algorithms to achieve our aim. We initially implemented numerous queries against the dataset and found meaningful relationships and correlations between some of the fetched attributes which have an effect on the popularity of these projects. As tapping into the sensory data and resources of the smartphones becomes common place, it is necessary to ensure the privacy of the device user while maintaining the accuracy and the integrity of the data collected. IoT system devices often sacrifice either user privacy or data integrity. It has also become important to limit the computational cost and burden on the user devices, as increasingly more services desire to tap into the resource that these devices provide. In this paper we propose a balanced truth discovery (BTD) framework that attempts to meet all three of the aforementioned needs: user privacy, data integrity, and limited computational cost. The BTD framework also reduces user participation in the truth discovery process. The nature of the BTD framework provides the possibility for easy modification (e.g. cryptography and weight assignment). This reduces computation cost for the user device, but also limits the interactions between the devices and the server, which is essential to data integrity. BTD framework also takes steps to blur the user device's original sensory data, by processing results in groups called zones. An enhanced method takes privacy preservation a step further, by protecting the user from an untrusted data-collecting party. As a result, diagnosing software faults and maintaining software becomes more important and normalized. There is an urgent need for effective methods to locate faults and maintain software. The paper presents a simplified dynamic slicing algorithm based on input classification. Building the program dependency graph on definitions of control dependency and data dependency, the new algorithm decreases the conditional control sentences by input classification, which reduces the space of the traditional slicing algorithm and gets fewer sentences after slicing. We model the software systems into pushdown systems and use model-checking to verify them. The reachability analysis is the base of model-checking problems. It is an iterative work on transitions and configuration rules. However, with the rise of the complexity and scalability of those software systems, the size of transitions and configurations rules rises as well. This means the traditional methods are not suitable for such work. Therefore, we propose a new parallel reachability analysis method for such scene. In this study, we propose an intelligent control and information management system based on Internet of Things (IoT). Every IOT system has three layers that are the sensing layer, the transmission layer, and the application layer. We implement the sensing layer through the Android subsystem software design with environmental parameters. The Android application software was built to realize the many functions such as the plants' morphological data collection, display of the environmental information in the PGC, and monitor ship of the plant growth process in real time, make the reasonable regulation of the control node meanwhile. The IoT transmission layer communicates in WiFi wireless way. In the application layer, the vegetable maturity could be forecast by fusing the images information through two artificial neural networks on the IoT server. Moreover, the several other feature functions, including remotely monitoring the PGC and the posting the environmental data, pictures and videos of the plant in the SQL database, are available for the user to manage the PGC. The experimental results indicate that the control strategy in IoT sensing layer and maturity prediction model in IoT application layer are of high-efficiency. Some studies show that gamification can motivate engineers in Software Engineering (SE) if applied appropriately. However, most gamification implementations are lacking well-defined frameworks or models.\u0000 This paper develops a software gamification model (SGM) with a well-defined framework that provides a robust process for implementing gamification for SE. This model also contains elements from applied psychology, Social Software Engineering (SSE), and the Capability Maturity Model (CMM). Having those elements ensures that the model has a solid foundation in gamification and SE disciplines. The model is further tailored for cross-cultural software development teams (CCSDT).\u0000 CCSDT have been popular in recent years due to the fact that software development has become a global business. However, as more and more CCSDT are formed, many challenges and issues have been raised in those cross-cultural environments stemming from miscommunication, misunderstanding, cultural differences and conflicts.
