The research sample consisted of 201 respondents aged 20 to 50. The assessment tool used was the Anxiety Inventory (AT 29: Tovi-lović, S. & Novović, Z., Novi Sad Faculty of Philosophy), consisting of 29 items which describe traits of behaviours typically associated with anxiety: Extremely low anxiety, Low anxiety, Medium anxiety, High anxiety, and Extremely high anxiety. Another assessment tool was the Assertiveness Inventory (Tovilović, Okanović & Krstić, 2009), consisting of 27 items measuring the assertiveness response: Extremely low assertiveness, Low asser-tiveness, Medium assertiveness, High assertiveness, and Extremely high assertiveness. The results have shown that there is a significant negative correlation between anxiety and assertiveness (r= -.536; p<.01); therefore the inintial hypothesis has been proven correct. On the other hand, the results have not confirmed the significance of gender differences related to anxiety and assertiveness levels.","PeriodicalId":37246,"journal":{"name":"Civitas","volume":"90 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71209265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was conducted on 201 respondents aged 20 to 50. The Assertiveness Assessment Scale (Tovilović, Okanović, and Krstić, 2009) consists of 27 items, which measure the degrees of assertiveness, ranging from Extremely low assertiveness, Low assertiveness, Average assertiveness, High assertiveness, to Extremely high assertiveness. The Perfectionism Inventory (PI, Hill, Huelsman, Furr, Kibler, Vicente & Kennedy, 2004) consists of 59 items divided into eight dimensions for measuring perfectionism: Concern over Mistakes, High Standards for Others, Need for Approval, Organization, Perceived Parental Pressure, Planfulness, Rumination, Striving for excellence. The research results have shown that there is a significant negative correlation between assertiveness and the overall score on the perfectionism scale (r=-.28, p<.01). Furthermore, there is a significant negative correlation between assertiveness with the following dimensions of perfectionism: concern over mistakes (r=-.49, p<.01), need for approval (r=-.53, p<.01), negative attitude and thinking (r=-.42, p<.01), On the other hand, assertiveness positively correlates with the organization dimension (r=.29, p< .01). When it comes to gender differences, making mistakes present the greatest concern for men (t=2.47, p<.05), while organization presents the greatest concern for women (t=3.44, p<.01).","PeriodicalId":37246,"journal":{"name":"Civitas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71209073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, their testimony is one of the most significant forms of evidence, while obtaining the testimony is a complex action in the criminal proceedings context, as well as in the psychological sense. In light of the significance of the subject matter, and its complexity , and in order to provide a precise and scientifically relevant review of the topic, the paper will examine the three important constitutive elements included in the hearing of the defendant as a form of evidence, namely: 1) the notion of the defendant; 2) the notion of the hearing, the essence of which is to obtain the testimony of the defendant; and 3) the testimony that arises as a result of the hearing.","PeriodicalId":37246,"journal":{"name":"Civitas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71208881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since this is a relatively new area for the national economy, there is no established awareness or required consensus to regulate this area through legal norms. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia published the influential Corporate Governance Code in 2012, as a way of supplementing the Business Organizations Act. This kind of instrumental approach is in accordance with the legislative methods of the European Union and has proved useful in several ways. First of all, it represents the initial, non-invasive regulation of perspective and important legal matters in Serbia, one that has the potential of eventually becoming part of the hard law. Considering the high normative standards, and flexible nature of this soft law instrument, it is justified to expect that by further use of this Code, the quality practice of corporate governance in Serbia will continue to thrive. Furthermore, it is expected that the Code will soon be amended in accordance with the 2018 changes to the Business Organizations Act.","PeriodicalId":37246,"journal":{"name":"Civitas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71209067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Predicting future events has become the primary goal in all segments, because the protection against risks in modern business (e.g. frequent changes in market conditions) has become the key to success. The research method used is based on qualitative research , as well as the analyses of pre-existing quantitative studies. The subject of this research is a comprehensive examination of possible applications of Markov processes in the finance sector. The aim of this examination is to identify the key methodological segments in a qualitative sense, and to explain the mathematical instruments used in this field. The expected results of the research will not contain any new or empirical data. The purpose of this paper is to present and emphasize the significance of Markov processes, and the possibilities of their wide application in economics and finance.","PeriodicalId":37246,"journal":{"name":"Civitas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71209132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
