Particularly in the context of Software-Defined Networks (SDN), addressing this challenge necessitates the strategic selection of backup paths based on traffic patterns. In response to this critical issue, our paper introduces a groundbreaking approach known as Machine Learning-based Network Intrusion Recovery (MLBNIR) for enhancing intrusion recovery in SDN. We leverage a dedicated SDN dataset to train a flow-based Machine Learning (ML) model, enabling a deeper understanding of traffic dynamics within the SDN framework. Our study, presented in this paper, reveals that the MLBNIR approach significantly reduces intrusion recovery time by up to 90% and concurrently increases network bandwidth consumption by up to 57% when compared to existing methods reviewed in the literature.","PeriodicalId":37239,"journal":{"name":"Arab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135815004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Green processing and employing natural derived materials are solutions to this issue. In this work, an electrical double-layer capacitor (EDLC) fabricated from green polymer electrolyte (GPE) sandwiched in between two microbial cellulose-based electrodes is characterized. The eco-friendly electrode films of interconnected cellulose and multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) are obtained via harmless, inexpensive, and simple procedure. The GPE consists of methylcellulose-potato starch blend as polymer blend and ammonium iodide (NH4I) is chosen as ion provider. Glycerol serves as plasticization agent for alternative pathways enabling ionic migration. The most optimum GPE possesses good ionic conductivity of ∼ 10−3 S/cm. Ions are the dominant charge carrier in the GPE as ion transference number shown to be close to unity. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) analysis illustrated that the GPE is electrochemically stable up to 2.4 V. The green EDLC stores energy through non-Faradaic mechanism and the specific capacitance from charge-discharge, Ccd is influenced by the sweep rates. The EDLC can be charged and discharged up to 2 V with a stable 1000 cyclability performance. This work implied the potential of microbial cellulose-based EDLC as ideal green-based energy storage device for low voltage applications such as smart electronic textiles.","PeriodicalId":37239,"journal":{"name":"Arab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136193072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigate two well-known NLPDEs, namely, the (2 + 1)-dimensional first integro-differential KP hierarchy equation and the (2 + 1)-dimensional second integro-differential KP hierarchy equation, through a well-stable algorithm known as the (G′G′+G+A)-expansion approach for the first time. This algorithm is generally based on the expansion of function method and has the advantage of easy implementation and can provide a reliable solution to any NLPDEs. Employing the algorithm, we have been able to perceive the closed form solitons of the two chosen NLPDEs that physically represent the solitary wave solutions like, singular, singular periodic, bell, and anti-bell-shaped types of solitons. Furthermore, we explore the graphical manifestations of the obtained solutions, which are of the mentioned soliton types. From the findings of our in-depth study, we can state that the acquired solutions for the selected two equations may greatly aid to extracting the associated natural phenomena in mathematical physics such as fluid dynamics and ocean engineering.","PeriodicalId":37239,"journal":{"name":"Arab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136107288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These functions are referred to as Jacobi functions. In a similar fashion as associated Legendre functions, these break into two categories, functions which are analytically continued from the real line segment (−1,1) and those analytically continued from the real ray (1,∞). Using properties of Gauss hypergeometric functions, we derive multi-derivative and multi-integral representations for the Jacobi functions of the first and second kind.","PeriodicalId":37239,"journal":{"name":"Arab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"14 1","pages":"583 - 592"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139348997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
