Strongly reminiscent of a martensitic transition, the transition is reversible. For this transition, we consider a possible microscopic mechanism, which was earlier applied to martensitic transitions in metallic alloys. We assume that the phase boundary is coherent, and atomic displacements are reversible and do not exceed a unit cell size during the transition. A double-well model is applied to the description of the boundary. The parameters of the boundary are related to the crystal lattice parameters","PeriodicalId":370622,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Workshop on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129449712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The phase mismatching in our computer experiments corresponds to self-focusing of laser pulses. The Q-switched and cavity-dumped pulse lasers have been obtained from the Z-fold channel with a tunable pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 1-70 kHz. At the Q-switched operation, the peak power is 730 W and the pulsewidth is 150 ns at the PRF of 10 KHz. At the cavity-dumped operation, the pulse laser width can be adjusted. The peak power is 6000 W with the pulsewidth of 20 ns and 3400 W for 32 ns. Continuous-wave laser output has been obtained from the other channel and its frequency can be tuned by a piezoelectric transducer. The Q-switched and cavity-dumped pulse laser heterodyne waveforms are observed.
