We first re-expound five essential research questions in the perspective of economics and elaborate how to study crowd science in the framework of economics in each essential question. Then, we build a simple model to illustrate the importance of wisdom of crowd by investigating the incentive of product development in crowdfunding when the market demand is uncertain. We show that, that under certain conditions, crowdfunding can provide more accurate demand information and therefore can generate better incentives to entrepreneurs and help entrepreneurs make correct decisions.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132650149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All researchers from institutions and enterprises want to identify and satisfy the personalized demand intelligently and conveniently by every possible means. In this paper, we proposed smart demand strategy based on holographic demand and model of transaction subject, which is applicable for the decentralized, disintermediated, intelligent e-commerce platform. User demands are classified from two aspects, which will improve the accuracy of demand obtaining. In addition, from standardized description of demand and full life cycle tracking of demand, the user demand will be identified comprehensively. Meanwhile, models of the user, including physical, preference, knowledge, digital label, and social attributes, are built based on his standard description and fragmented description from his interactive objects, which results in a holographic demander. Then, smart demand strategy, i.e. demand forecast and recommendation are proposed. Based on trigger point and demand attributes, the user demand will be updated in real time, which ensures the accuracy of demand accusation and recommendation. The relationship and help degree, based on the interactions within the cyberspace, are important references in filtering the recommendation.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"171 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132040748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Task assignment is the core issue of spatial crowdsourcing. The existing methods of task assignment aim at assigning tasks to workers as much as possible, which lacks the guarantee of the quality of the tasks' answer. In this paper, two kinds of task assignment strategy based on the quality of workers are proposed to ensure the accuracy of the answer submitted by the workers as high as possible. The classical quality control algorithm, Incremental Quality Inference, is used to obtain the quality of workers. Capable worker strategy and maximum worker distance-quality strategy are proposed and compared with nearest work strategy to carry out task assignment based on the quality of workers computed by Incremental Quality Inference. Experimental results with discounted data in the offline shopping mall from crowdsourcing platform demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126693322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, in these cities, the public transportation system is heavily relied on. Conventional public transportation modes such as bus, taxi and subway have been globally deployed over the past century. In the last decade, a new type of public transportation mode, shared bike, emerged in many cities. These shared bikes are deployed by either government-regulated or profit-driven companies and are either station-based or station-less. Nonetheless, all of them are designed to better solve the last-mile problem in densely populated cities as complements to the conventional public transportation system. In this paper, we analyse the public transportation patterns in a densely populated city, Chicago, USA, using comprehensive datasets covering the transportation records on shared bikes, buses, taxis and subways collected over one year's time. Specifically, we apply self-regulated clustering methods to reveal both the majority transportation patterns and the irregular ones. Other than reporting the autonomously discovered transportation patterns, we also show that our method achieves better clustering performance than the benchmarking methods.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123678365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These intelligent agents (i.e., people, enterprises, government, intelligent equipment and goods)connect each other and form a large number of crowd network system.With the development of machine learning techniques, the crowd network is becoming more and more intelligent and autonomous in the physical space. Due to complexity and heterogeneity of the agent in the crowd network, how to reasonable optimize and evaluate the intelligence of crowd network is becoming a very important problem. In order to solve this problem,we propose a formalized and accurate intelligence measurement method named Quality-Complexity-Task(QCT) universal intelligence measurement. Like the human IQ test,we use a kind of intelligence test method to measure agent intelligence. To model this process of test, we design QCT agent-enviroment framework in which the agent and enviroment could interact with each other. We measure the intelligence of agent by evaluating the agents accumulated performance during the intelligence test. Our experiment demonstrate that the method of QCT can achieve the measurement of agent in the crowd network.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123995039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The smart contract supports a more flexible, de-intermediary economic contractual relationship potentially. So distributed ledger technology can also be considered as an institutional technology [1]. According to the economic method, regarding the transaction cost as the basic unit, based on the technical and business characteristics of the distributed ledger, we analyzed economic contract innovation scenarios of distributed ledgers, and found important institutional features, including de-intermediation, intelligence and miniaturization. In addition, we made a preliminary empirical analysis through decentralized exchanges.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133828635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most of the existing solutions to worker response evaluation meet with significant challenges. Part of them are only able to obtain locally optimal results with low accuracy, while the others have to pay a high price to achieve global optimality. In order to tackle these challenges, this paper proposes a solution to worker quality management which is able to obtain optimal evaluation results close to the globally one with acceptable computational overhead. It is proved to be globally optimal results under certain conditions. The basic idea of the approach is to calculate the similarities among the workers according to which the workers can be clustered gradually. The unknown answers (or outputs) of the tasks are predicted from the results obtained by the clustered workers which will further help with the similarity calculation and the clustering among the remaining workers. A framework and detailed schemes are presented, and simulation experiments are conducted to validate the efficacy of the approach.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133988283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a need for methods to outsource testing on all these models and OS versions. In this paper, we propose a crowdsourced testing approach that leverages the power of the crowd to perform mobile device compatibility testing in a novel way. This approach aims to provide support for testing code, features, or hardware characteristics of mobile devices which is hardly investigated. This testing will enable developers to ensure that features and hardware characteristics of any device model or features of a specific OS version will work correctly and will not cause any problems with their apps. It empowers developers to find a solution for issues they may face during the development of an app by asking testers to perform a test or searching a knowledge base provided with the platform. It will offer the ability to add a new issue or add a solution to existing issues. We expect that these capabilities will improve the testing and development of mobile apps by considering variant mobile devices and OS versions on the crowd.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134057746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper was based on OBD driving behavior data of vehicles, identified the key characteristics of driving behavior influencing accidents per year. In the next step, EW--AHP methods was taken to build a safe driving scoring system and according to driving safety latent variable, the score was turned into the adjustment factor of the independent underwriting coefficient (underwriting by company). After further case study, it turned out that the difference between premiums was remarkable and provided the basis to personalized Ratemaking of Vehicle Insurance.","PeriodicalId":370356,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Crowd Science and Engineering","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121434624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
