The catheter in development is an advanced micromechanical device with an external diameter of 2 mm. The parts to be integrated in the catheter tip are: (1) an ultrasonic transducer for visualization of the internal diameter of the artery and tissue characterization; (2) an integrated ultrasonic transmitter-receiver for high signal quality; (3) a deobstruction unit using laser ablation or spark erosion; and (4) an optical position decoder.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":369505,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, , Proceedings, 'An Investigation of Micro Structures, Sensors, Actuators, Machines and Robots'","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124405304","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
