En la mayoría de estos procesos, el peatón \u0000se ha ido adaptando a los espacios resultantes de las diferentes intervenciones que \u0000centran su atención en el vehículo. \u0000Actualmente en las ciudades, se multiplican los espacios de prioridad peatonal \u0000como una forma de reivindicar al individuo en la estructura urbana. Sin embargo, \u0000en un sistema de movilidad tan desigual, es inevitable plantearse espacios \u0000peatonales exclusivos, continuos y conectados, organizados en red, para devolver \u0000al peatón aquello que la planificación y el vehículo le han arrebatado.\u0000 Over time, pedestrian spaces have been conceived to perform diverse roles such \u0000as settlers of an urban space, as defined –but not preferred– spaces in a diversified \u0000street section, as segregated spaces of urban life, and recently, as elements \u0000that ensure the liveliness in an area, neighborhood or city. In the majority of the \u0000mentioned roles, the pedestrian is the one who has been adapting to the resulting \u0000spaces, the ones that have come from interventions that centralize the vehicle. \u0000Currently, spaces that prioritize the pedestrian have been multiplied in the \u0000cities with the aim of bringing people to the urban structure. La pressió del tràfic de vehicles havia convertit \u0000els carrers de la ciutat en autèntiques autopistes urbanes i en molts casos, com \u0000a Glasgow, la ciutat havia estat devastada per la febre automobilística. Des de la \u0000Universitat s’apostava per una vialitat integradora de la vida urbana, rebutjant el \u0000model automobilístic. La aportació d’aquestes idees a traves dels professors que es \u0000van integrar en els nous ajuntaments democràtics va permetre redreçar la situació \u0000cap una nova vialitat cívica. Anys després la intermodalitat s’ha apropiat dels \u0000carrers sense pietat. The pressure of the vehicular traffic had \u0000turned the streets into authentic urban highways and in many cases, as in Glasgow, \u0000the city had been devastated by the car fever. The academy was betting on \u0000roads that integrate urban life, rejecting the automobile model. The ideas from \u0000the professors who integrated the new democratic municipalities, contributed to \u0000redirect the former situation towards a new civic road. Years later, the streets had \u0000been appropriated by intermodality without mercy. De entre todos, el modo peatonal es el que ha sufrido \u0000mayores impactos, al quedarse al margen de la planificación. \u0000Este artículo describe como se ha desarrollado el modelo de movilidad protagonizado \u0000por el automóvil, analiza sus impactos en los modos de transporte existentes \u0000en la ciudad y pone de relieve las condiciones y condicionantes bajo las cuales se \u0000desarrolla el desplazamiento peatonal en la escala del barrio.\u0000 Throughout the 20th century Sao Paulo was structured to guarantee automotive \u0000mobility while other modes of transportation were neglected. Alcalá","doi":"10.5821/QRU.9599","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5821/QRU.9599","url":null,"abstract":"Pasados alrededor de 25 años del proyecto y ejecución de las Rondas de Dalt y \u0000del Litoral en Barcelona, se identifican cambios en los escenarios del proyecto y \u0000fenómenos posteriores, recurrentes a otras vías de circunvalación, como la disminución \u0000de las mejorías iniciales ofrecidas a la movilidad. Sin embargo, el proyecto \u0000sigue siendo sugerente por su propuesta de articulación de los desplazamientos \u0000de paso a través (característicos de los anillos de circunvalación) y los desplazamientos \u0000locales de irrigación de los barrios periféricos. A partir de una sección \u0000cambiante, flexible a los datos del territorio de implantación, su diseño redujo \u0000los efectos de corte habituales en estas infraestructuras y logró coser, vertebrar y \u0000formalizar los fragmentos que por entonces componían la periferia de la ciudad. \u0000Frente a nuevos escenarios de la ciudad metropolitana y a los desafíos de la movilidad \u0000actual, el proyecto merece ser revisado pues aporta nociones conceptuales \u0000de peso a las soluciones posibles.\u0000 25 years after the completion of “Las Rondas de Dalt y Del Litoral” in Barcelona, \u0000changes in the project’s scenarios and their posterior phenomena are readily \u0000identifiable. These changes are recurrent in the city’s bypass roads and the effectiveness \u0000of initial improvements that favored mobility has diminished over time. \u0000Nevertheless, the project remains relevant for its implementation of pass-through \u0000displacements (characteristic of Barcelona’s ring roads) and local displacements \u0000in peripheral neighborhoods. Starting with a dynamic section, flexible based on \u0000the data from the territory of implementation, the design reduced common issues \u0000with these types of infrastructures and was able to seamlessly structure and \u0000shape many fragments of the city that composed the periphery of Barcelona at \u0000that time.
