The study adopted the descriptive method, and it was administered to a sample consisting of 75 male and female faculty members who are specialized in kindergarten. The participants responded to two questionnaires, one of them was to determine the twenty-first century skills required for kindergarten children; and the second one was related to the requirements of acquiring such skills. The results of the study revealed that the study participants strongly approved the twenty-first century skills required for kindergarten children as well as the requirements of acquiring them. El-mneizel","doi":"10.36771/ijre.44.2.20-pp12-46","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36771/ijre.44.2.20-pp12-46","url":null,"abstract":"This study aimed to identify the level of academic adaptation of University of Sharjah students and the variation in the level of academic adaptation in relation to the level of academic performance, specifically comparing outstanding students and those under probation. The sample of study comprised 49 male and female students under probation and 152 outstanding students who spent at least one academic year, or 30 credit hours, at the University. They responded to the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ), which they received through the University IT Centre. The results indicated that the students are well adapted personally and emotionally and had a high degree of attachment. However, students reported that they were facing difficulties of coping with academic demands and adapting to university life. The results indicated a statistically significant difference (α=0.05) between the two study groups on the personal-emotional adjustment and academic adjustment subscales, in favour of outstanding students. In addition, outstanding students scored higher on the full scale and on some items in the four subscales. {"title":"معوقات توظيف نتائج البحوث التربوية في صياغة القرارات لدى القيادات التربوية في وزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية","authors":"عائده محمد المهتدي","doi":"10.36771/ijre.44.2.20-pp199-235","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36771/ijre.44.2.20-pp199-235","url":null,"abstract":"هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة واقع تطبيق وزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية لمدخل الإدارة والتخطيط الاستراتيجي في ضوء الأدبيات النظرية الرسمية الحديثة المتوافرة ذات العلاقة. ولتحقيق ذلك، قد اتبعت الدراسة منهج البحث الوصفي النظري، القائم على أسلوب القراءة والتحليل الوثائقي الموضوعي لمحتوى المصادر/الأدبيات العلمية المتوافرة مكتبياً من وثائق وتقارير وأدلة ودراسات علمية منهجية نظرية وميدانية سابقة، بما تتضمنه من بيانات/معلومات (معارف علمية) ذات علاقه بموضوع الدراسة والمشكلة البحثية التي تستهدفها. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: أن الإدارة والتخطيط الاستراتيجي التربوي، من أبرز المداخل الإدارية التي تتبناها وزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية وتسعى الى تطبيقها فعلياً كأحد أولوياتها وأدواتها الحالية في إصلاح وتطوير النظام التربوية والتعليمي الوطني بالأردن الى المستوى المأمول في المستقبل القريب. كما أن تطبيق مدخل الإدارة والتخطيط الاستراتيجي التربوي بوزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية، في واقعه الحالي يتسم بعدد من المؤشرات النوعية والكمية التي تؤكد على وجود انجازات ونتائج ايجابية تدل على ان الوزارة تحقق نجاحات حقيقية ملموسة ذات بُعد استراتيجي على المستوى الوطني. إضافة إلى أن وزارة التربية والتعليم برغم تحقيقها لبعض النجاحات الفعلية من خلال تطبيقها لمدخل الإدارة والتخطيط الاستراتيجي، لازالت تواجه العديد من المشكلات والتحديات والمعوقات التي قد تحد من تحقيق الوزارة لجميع أهدافها وغاياتها الاستراتيجية المرسومة في إطار الزمن المرسوم. وبناءً على ذلك أوصت الدراسة بأنه على وزارة التربية والتعليم أن تجري مراجعة وتقييم دوري منتظم لمتابعة واقع وطبيعة التقدم الفعلي في تحقق أهدافها الاستراتيجية الموضوعة. كما أن على وزارة التربية والتعليم السعي نحو تطوير وتوسيع أهدافها الاستراتيجية بما يضمن مواجهتها وتغلبها للأزمات الطارئة كأزمة جائحة كوفيد-19.","PeriodicalId":368892,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal for Research in Education","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124128979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
