In the area where the robot moves there can occur the sources of the acoustic or vibrating emissions, which has got their own specific parameters. The character's modification of these expressions could require an adequate robot reaction. To this purpose, it is necessary to find the fast and clear algorithms that will be able to reliably detect the deviation of the vibro-acoustic expressions from its stationary state. The article suggests as a highly convenient to use the Hilbert's spaces as a solution to this problem.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114481041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various control algorithms have the tuning mechanism built-in themselves. However, the most of used controllers are controllers of the PID type that contains no selftuning features; it is necessary to tune the controller manually or the selftuning features need to be added externally. Despite of the fact that many PID controller tuning algorithms have been developed since Ziegler and Nichols tuning procedures were published in 1942 their experimental method remains one of the really used methods up to now. It has several advantages in comparison with the newer tuning algorithms: it does not need any mathematical model of controlled plant and it is usable without any deep control theory background. One of the approaches trying to suit these practical limits is a newly developed method presented in this paper. It is based on an experimentally performed evaluation of excited frequency responses with the aim to achieve recommended values of one or more control quality indicators known from the course of the Nyquist plot, e.g. With regard to the experimental way of obtaining the indicators, they can be evaluated in control loops involving nonlinearities even in the controller. In this sense, the method has a philosophy similar to that of the popular Ziegler and Nichols method. The main features making model-free design attractive for practice are preserved: no mathematical model and theory is required for in controller setting, all processing is carried out by a program added to the control algorithm, i.e. no additional instrumentation is necessary","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125052899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the two algorithms (PI and predictive) are different a switch between them can cause big jumps. A bumpless switch is a very important issue. A smooth switch is desired to avoid any discontinuity in the manipulated and the controlled variables. A common strategy is to let run the backup controller in such a way that the calculated manipulated variable equals always to the manipulated variable of the active controller. This equivalence is ensured usually only in steady-state and the switch between the active and the backup controller is performed in steady-state. However operators do not wait always for steady-state. Therefore, a new algorithm was developed which allow a bumpless switch also during the transients.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130315011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The settings provide fast closed-loop response to changes of the reference input. Unlike most other tuning methods, the parameters are obtained without approximation of the delay term, so they remain valid for long dead time. Besides the performance indices, quality of the settings is also evaluated by the stability margin. Although optimal values of the parameters are valid for the reference tracking problem, a compensation of the disturbance lag that preserves the stability margin is proposed for the disturbance rejection problem.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130892145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such filters ensure considerable elimination of measurement and quantization noise. The designed filters well approximate the characteristic of ideal filters. The advantage of the designed regressive differential filters is the possibility of obtaining the filtered signal of the same length as before the filtration. An example of solving the parameter identification problem in case of robot with four degrees of freedom has been also presented. The identification has been performed with the use of elaborated differential filters. The applied identification method does not require differential equations solving but only determining the appropriate derivatives.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116656914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When aligning the DNA sequences of the same gene from related species, there will usually be differences between the sequences because of evolution and because of the degeneracy of the genetic. Based on evolutionary models we extract and align the DNA sequences of the same gene from related chosen species with respect to human DNA Sequences. The alignment in the evolutionary system pipeline is realized with ProbCons tool, which is a pair-hidden Markov model-based on progressive alignment algorithm that primarily differs from most typical approaches in its use of maximum expected accuracy. Specific task range of bioprocess control is defined, which needs realization of intensive calculations and participation of operator in decision making. In a situation, when bioprocess or production process does not need human attendance and the process environment is not suitable for computing machinery it is necessary to use shared control techniques. Shared control means that computational equipment and operators are not located at the production site. That can be the case in various fields: agriculture, forestry, medicine. Common examples of applications are: greenhouse monitoring and control systems, control of drying processes, livestock management, agricultural field processing systems, fire emergency monitoring, etc. Honey bee indoor wintering process is one of such bioprocesses which can be monitored and analyzed using shared and adaptive control methods. During the winter time honey bees can be placed in a special wintering building with controlled microclimate environment in order to save physiological resources of the bees and preserve honey. This can be advantageous compared with outdoor wintered bees. During this period the main risk factor for beekeeper is that bees, while kept at temperature of 6°–8°C, can conclude that spring has started when in the reality it is still winter. As a result, bees can start an intensive process of brood rearing in winter and this can lead to the death of colonies. In order to control this process it is necessary to monitor the activity of bees by measuring temperature above the bee nest in the hive. The temperature and air humidity of bee wintering building is not suitable for computational equipment. Additional challenge is that the wintering building has to be kept dark to inhibit flight reflexes of the bees. Thus shared control techniques should be used. Wired temperature sensor network is developed to measure and control activity of bee colonies. For measurements one wire network is used, where digital thermal sensors are parallel connected with the interface device, which in turn is used to transfer data from the sensors to the end PC. According to the temperature changes it is possible to understand the brood rearing state of a particular colony. If an intensive brood rearing begins the beekeeper should receive a suggestion from the computer to slow down the process. The process can be slowed down by decreasing the temperature in the wintering building. On the other hand, the acceleration of the process can be achieved through increasing the temperature. The problem of compromise decision making has to be solved because the temperature changes will affect all the colonies. Decision making process is supported by mathematical modelling of bee colony dynamics to simulate possible outcomes of various control strategies. Additionally WEB interface is develo","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"97 Suppl B 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123791551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
