The foundations of entrepreneurship should follow new philosophy: “Innovate or die”. The aim of the paper is to point out important links between enterprise's innovation potential and its competitiveness simulated on Vensim software. Mathematical instruments were used for creation of Innovative Management model, which displays how firms gain a competitive advantage on a market due to innovation. The developed model is applied in a food industry, especially freezing firms and capturing their basic characteristics.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133167300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many PLC vendors integrate their own SFC editor implementation as a part of their development environment. Absence of a universal SFC editor lead to the authors own development. This paper describes some of the features of the developed universal SFC graphical editor, which includes: 1. editor architecture; 2. graphical user interface; 3. SFC schema validation and compilation to various targets; 4. editor customization and integration to development tools of various control systems. REX uses the SFC editor in two ways: 1. a design tool for the ATMT, EATMT and REXLANG function blocks; 2. as an online visualization and debugging tool.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114470721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PFC controller parameters have a physical meaning and they are easy to tune. PI(D) controllers are very widespread in the industry although their tuning is not easy. It is a common opinion that predictive controller is much better than PI(D) controller. However PI(D) controllers can be tuned in such a way that they (or extended by some filter) are equivalent to the predictive PFC controller. The relations between the PFC and PI(D) controller (extended with a filter) are derived analytically and confirmed by simulations for the control of the hot air blower pilot plant.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134105764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Integrated Portal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic supports unemployed people to find a proper job using various useful tools. Any user can find a job according various criteria. The existence of public transport connection between municipality of residence and municipality of potential new job is one of many various criteria of searching. Data for this option are provided and guaranteed by VSB — Technical University of Ostrava. Two types of this database are developed according to the spatial level — municipality and municipality district level. To provide updated versions of these databases three times per year, an automatic creation has been developed and utilized. This paper describes the software solution, where the whole process is automatically distributed to many powerful workstations for parallel processing of all public transport connection combinations and the current use of this database.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128014844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to predict environmental temperature precisely a model of one room has been developed and implemented in COMSOL Multiphysics. A finite element model was developed in 3D coordinates in order to achieve illustration of an air and an energy movement and to simulate the transient process in the walls in [7]. Notwithstanding, this model was not accurate enough for application in building conditions. Main goal of this paper is in updating current model to get results with sufficient accuracy. Temperature course of the model is analyzed and compared to the experimentally measured temperature data.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115268650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It describes development of an experimental stand based on market available boiler for wooden pellets that has been equipped with special control unit based on a PAC. In the paper is shown elimination of CO peaks appearing after periodical grate sweeping and main effort is focused on replacement of mostly used on/off heat output control by a PI controller. Application of the PI controller has lowered CO emissions during transition states and improved stability of the combustion process.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115412883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
